Place - Statement of Intent
A Tabloid sized print (11x17) , Created on Photoshop, It can be printed and mounted
Or shown on screen. Ideally would be used in a diptech
I’m going to use Adobe Photoshop to produce my digital calligraphy print
Initially going into my place project I wasn’t sure what kind of place that I’ve been through but I want to incorporate I don’t feel as though I’ve been interested in many places that I’ve currently been to or been around or maybe not romantically to be able to wanted to pick them. I’ve decided to go more along the lines of a place that I want to go to or is that all of art from a place that I’ve always wanted to go to and I’ve always appreciated and loved art from I’ve always had a love for Chinese calligraphy and the artist I was always been very minimal and appealing to me very spacious otherworldly in a way and that was just created by man and use the ink and different kind of washed paper. And I’ve definitely spent enough time on Pinterest just saving 1001 different Chinese calligraphy prints so I’ve decided to produce my own and I definitely want to keep it in an authentic vein and I definitely want to produce multiples or maybe a series of these prints and to certainly make this into a larger project and I may even understand currently because of the Chinese use of calligraphy and landscape paintings they’ve always had a stylistic vibe that Westerners had even imitated their art style. My intent is to create a print that would widely be appreciated and celebrated for being a product of inspiration and not appropriation.

Identity - Statement of Intent
A motion graphic using my digital portraits, 1920x1080 pixels, Using Adobe After Effects.
It’s going to be projected or watched via screen.
I’m going to produce this motion graphic using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop to produce my digital self portraits.
Starting on my identity project I’ve decided because I have a love for creating digital portraits I’m going to produce three digital portraits of myself and incorporate them into a motion graphic one that is not drawn but animated through affects and lots of feature text to break down my identities throughout the animation each portrait will not in anyway relate but will stylistically relate to the identity attached to each portrait.

Language - Statement of Intent
A motion graphic adventure of myself, 1920x1080 pixels, Using Adobe After Effects. It is going to be in a Pixel art style, It’s going to be projected or watched via screen.
I’m going to produce this motion graphic using Adobe After effects to create my language narrative.
I intend to create a pixel animation using myself as the main character. The story is fiction and it’s mainly just the gag pretty much I’ve always wanted to create a pixel animation and I think it’s coming out really well and once again getting to spend a lot more time on Adobe After Effects. I plan to make better use of key framing and to use Adobe illustrator as well as a secondary support for my pixel art and also using my drawing tablet to help me draw my pixels. This is meant to be a fun project

Time - Statement of Intent
A motion graphic depicting a seed being planted in a flower growing, 1000x1600 pixels, Using Adobe After Effects. It is going to be in a minimalist sketchy art style, It’s going to be projected or watched via screen.
I’m going to produce this motion graphic using Adobe After effects to create my time project.
My intended meaning behind this motion graphic is all things take time to grow and sometimes we can see how things have a rose very quickly because for example many flowers can take two weeks or so to grow and a lot of things are constantly growing in our lives but we never exactly see the process in real time and so I want to speed up the process of time for this flower to represent that. I’ve used Adobe after effects many times before and so this project is pretty much in a niche vein for me and I’m looking forward to it too once again get another animation onto my portfolio

Place - Reading response
Location leads to a major part of anyone’s identity it doesn’t define you or determine who you are. It definitely contributes to the upbringing of an artist. Artists absorb and exude the teachings and experiences From where they grow up and from where they’ve been and from what interest them and what inspired them. As many artist for one have a fondness and commonality to the pig artwork or themes from their lives, hometowns or just interesting places to them. A place that an artist decides to show you where the real or not usually has some sort of value and there’s a reason why they’re showing you that particular place. In the old days artist visuals relating the place were often just paintings photographs dried of sorts and today many artists are able to give you dioramas sculptures 3-D models animations and all kinds of different great artistic mediums that allow them to create a space.

Idenity - Reading response
Identity is beyond a social construct it is what truly defines you. Many different things about a person can contribute to their identity as far as race religion nationality sexuality and various other personal interests. When many think of irony they can think more of just social cultural identity but not so much as far as what their group that I does as individuals or collectively. And earlier times in America feminist and civil rights movements members What level themselves as women artists or black artists to separate themselves within their own identities and in their communities and for people who are searching for them specifically rather than artist outside of their identities. . I believe this is a way of drawing attention and power to your identity as that separation or more so singling out the identity leads to the identity becoming a sort of genre or its own catalog compared to the things outside of the identity and some other is lead into different artistic movements in our style like feminist art. Gathering energy from your identity can really benefit your artistic vision and the patients are also have an automatic home for artwork. Since it belongs to that identity group now.

Language - Reading response
Language can be a very polarizing but efficient way to get either your visual art or your message across. The type and form of language you use can tell an audience many things about you or your initial exhibition and it’s important to be mindful of some reactions yes but it is impossible to see and think about how every person may interpret your language. Language comes in two different forms either spoken or written and your chosen path on that will also help encourage that perception of your artwork. Language is only an evolution of symbolic communication between beings, speaking without a language so to speak but people still found ways to get their messages across. Speaking of symbolic language/communication Egyptians were very well known for there use of this, using sequence with symbols and their own individual meanings. Calligraphy is another widely produced and accepted art form with use of language, art with words or words with art? More speaking on Chinese calligraphy as it is has been vitally important to Chinese culture and Asian Art period. I for one cannot wait to produce my own artwork in a style that shows my appreciation for that art form.

Time - Reading response
Time is in all things. People‘s perception or idea of time having to be related to their philosophies culture and education. When it comes to creating artwork many different variables come into play and often time it’s not a factor unless the artist makes it intentional to involve time into the piece. Time is facet you have to make visually apparent in art. Whether it’s from motion just breezing by and things changing from figure movement, time of day, human activity in waking hours to night time. There’s a place out there for static artwork and almost another dimension where the visual artists who manipulate time within their work are. I for one have started to get into Motion graphics and time is an element I’ve just begun to understand. Being a graphic designer has blessed me to see all kinds of different fine arts and i enjoy static artwork a lot. Static artwork hasn’t been appreciated as much recently as artwork that changes or has some sort of motion involved. It also seems that as time moves forward, technology advances Motion graphics are becoming the future. Typically in more modernized art or photographs you can see time is often frozen in a lot successful artworks as they capture photos as painters capture their canvas. Characters are not moving or are stuck in place somehow, clocks are frozen. Time can be shown and altered within art work form even the smallest of details. I’ll definitely think of small things within my projects that emphasis the bigger picture but at smaller scales.
