I wanted to add on how it still would affect him in Epic Mickey 2 !!! He has Ortensia back and the blot is gone (besides blottlings), but it definitely should have played a bigger role bc the game kinda just treated him like "oh haha now he's a fun side kick" and they do show bits and pieces of trauma like him being replaced once again but it is literally mentioned once explicitly and like once vaguely but it's never ever resolved I still feel cheated out of that. ALSO he literally sees ortensias life threatened when she is trapped in Mad Docs attraction with the possibility of her turning inert AGAIN and barely gets a proper reaction to it. I love the second game but makes me mad, they teased at addressing oswald trauma and were like mmm actually nvm and swept it under the rug okay rant over

I think one thing about Oswald 's story from EM that I wish was fleshed out more was how Ortensia getting killed/the Blot wars affected him mentally. I think it's not too far-fetched to say that he must have had some serious PTSD for a while, and that got me wondering how he would show that/what it's affects would be one the story of the game if it was canon

I really hope the 2D cutscenes aren't taken out of Rebrushed or at the very least I hope they aren't redone in 3D because there's a certain level of expressiveness the 2D cutscenes gave Mickey that was never really replicated in any of the 3D ones
