OC-MAG: A new online magazine for people of color

WHAT IS OC-MAG?

OC-MAG is an online magazine created to share art by people of color!!! (OC standing for “of color”) This online magazine was created by two girls named Natalie and Victoria. We both feel very passionate about people of color being empowered and inspired by art.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

OC-MAG is looking for motivated and artistic individuals to submit their work and be featured in our online magazine. A list of what can be submitted is below. Please follow the submission guidelines, which can be found on our blog.

You can submit:

-Art

-Photography

-Music

-Writing Pieces: articles, poetry, essays. You can write about anything that has to do with art and people of color.

-Film: videos/short films that were created by you / videos or short films that you are in, are welcome! 

-Ideas: if you have concepts or ideas that you think are worth being shared, please feel free to portray it in any way!

-Fashion: if you create clothes or just love to wear them, you can submit pictures and/or where you got them!

-Makeup: we strongly believe makeup is a form of art and if you have pictures/selfies or makeup recommendations that would be great!

-Biographies: give us a short snippet of who you are and what you have been through as a poc or tell us how art has impacted your life! Give us a story. We would love to hear more about you, our readers, and your lives. 

-If you have anything that it isn’t listed above and you want it posted, please email us! (ocmagsubmissions@gmail.com)

-If we really love your submission, we may email back with some questions! For example, how your art has affected you and/or others and anything else that may pertain to you. We will include the Q&A along with your art in most cases.

-Along with your submission, please feel free to add your social media or any links to websites or your online business!
