I got an amazing job opportunity to work at a local museum and honestly it feels almost too good to be true (perfect working hours for me + it's in a spot I can easily access by bus) but I got my call back like at the worst time cause like I said I'm going to Europe for almost 2 weeks next month and I'm terrified they won't hire me because of this😭 Especially since I actually want this job unlike a lot I applied to just because I was desperate.

I actually had plan on pausing my job hunt until June to avoid this to happen but I applied to the museum a week before deciding that and anyway I hadn't had a call back since January so I didn't thought it would actually work out. And then they offered me a job two days after starting my job hunt pause.

On top of that the weekend I would start if I'm hired I already accepted to do a panel about my special interests for my autism group and I've been looking forward to it for months cause I rarely have opportunity to talk about them IRL 🥲

This is my DND character, his name is Karijon (pronounced like a carillon not like...dijon mustard). He's a slutty little bard who used to be in the army but got kicked out because he slept with his general's wife. He used to date a witch but he cheated on her and as a punishment, she cursed his lips to taste like black licorice, which is why he has, well, black lips. He once killed a man cause I wanted to push a drunk guy out of the way and ofc this is when I rolled a 20 you know not during an actual battle when I do need it.

Anyway, in spite of his name he plays the violin, which he received just like all the other bard in this universe get their instrument, which is when he turned 13 as a Bard Mitzvah gift.

Last week I was at a St Pat's party at the apartment of a friend (the one who's currently pregnant for those who are up to date with Elouan's lore) and at some point in the evening her boyfriend and I were tipsy and like, I'm the type of guy to just have chest hair pops out of his shirt so he just randomly said "Elouan, you have nice chest hair". I cannot stop thinking about it.

To celebrate, here's three fun facts about our main guy. Who also happens to be the boring regular human of the occult roommates.

His favorite snacks are caramel popcorn and cheese puffs.

While his family is of Iraqi-Arab origin, he has some distant Turkish and Kurdish ancestry through his father's side, as expressed by his surname.

As a kid, he tried getting rid of his freckles by rubbing lemon juice all over his face, which is kinda sad but he failed miserably and just squirted the juice directly into his eyes so his hindsight it's pretty funny to remember.

Usually when I edit my screenshots to make them nice to look at, I most of the time make the color pop more and then more warm toned. Though I need to be careful when Akva is involved, cause sometime it makes her look orange and on top of that, she has green hair so she ends up looking like a Oompa-Loompa.

Here's an update from my main on what I've been up to since November.

Though if anyone wants some life updates here's a 101.

For the first time ever someone in my friend's group is pregnant and it kinda feels like I'm about to be an uncle but also holy shit I've reached this point in my life where my friends are starting to reproduce uh...I mean, we're in our mid-20s so it's expected but like...I don't know it's hard to explain, like out of all my friend it's not a surprise she's the first one to have a baby, but also I wasn't expecting her to have one so soon. It's weird how some of my friends never had a job and still live with their parents, other are getting married soon and other live with their partner and are having a baby. The magic of your 20s I guess.

No, I still don't have a fucking job, in spite of the fact I meet a job counsellor specialized in people with disability looking to get work every two weeks. In December alone I applied to around 30 jobs both online and in person, I only got one call back and they didn't hired me. On top of that I'm not eligible for welfare cause I still live with my parents. Like motherfucker they're the one making the money, not me! I'm 24 years old, do they think I get pocket money like I was a goddamn child? Even if that was the case, pocket money is not enough for an adult to live on ffs. And if I can't get a job well how the fuck am I supposed to get my own place to live? Cause trust me I'm not still living with my parents cause I want to, I love my parents, but I want my adult life to begin for real sooner rather that later... I applied recently to host birthday party on Saturdays at my local community center, but honestly after being burned so many time I know they ain't hiring me so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I've started courting this Ukrainian guy...courting sounds really fancy, I mean we're talking on Messenger after meeting at uni. Not sure if this will lead to anything but we'll see.

So yes, I am back in school. Since I can't get a pilot license even if I could afford it due to my OCD, I reluctantly went back to getting my translator certificate. The advantage of living in Canada is that we need translation on fucking everything and while I'm terrified of AI taking over the job eventually, for now I guess I'll have job security (assuming I can get hired lmao) and could get decently paid even if I'm not super excited about doing this for the rest of my life. Yes, I know there are other jobs beside pilot I could do in aviation, but not only was that like, a major goal of mine of at least getting a private/general pilot license, none of the other really interest me that much or would require me to move to Montreal or Quebec City and those cities are way too expensive for my taste. Like if I were able to become a pilot I would have moved there, but under those circumstances it's not worth leaving pretty much all my friends and most of my family behind.

On a more positive note, my aunt invited me to go to the Netherlands with my cousin (aka her son) this May, around my 25th birthday.

I started playing DND with my friends and honestly I wanna tell the lore of my character cause it's kinda funny.

So yeah, that's the important stuff to know. Also I'm making a board game for my autism support group (assuming we get funding for it, it would be a trivial pursuit style game and a percentage of the sale of the game would go to finance the group).

As for my Sims sideblog, I'm actually gonna continue using it in around March or April.

Future of this blog

Ok so, yeah I've been taking a break from Tumblr for like three months now, to the detriment of this blog. I'm not abandoning it, unlike my main, in fact I have plans for the future. So here it is.

February: Still on hiatus, owo sowwy. March: Slowly coming back, I'll be posting at least twice a week some stuff that I've had in the back of my mind for a while that are more or less canon like random CAS screenshots. In the mean time, I'll be cooking the upcoming chapters. Will also try to get up to date with everyone else's stories though I might do that in February. April: The grand return of Occult Roommates season 3! Don't know what the schedule will look like but I'll try posting as regularly as possible (cause as I mentionned on my main blog a few days ago, I went back to school recently so I'm not as free as I used to be). May: Will take another break as I'm going to spend three weeks in Europe with my cousin. We'll spend 10 days in Brittany and 10 days in the Netherlands. June: Everything should be back to normal.

Also, I'm kinda disappointed I missed a lot of holidays I wanted to make special celebration posts for so I'm just gonna compile them into one post cause why not. I also wanted to make special birthday post for the characters but I've already missed Rudi and Charlie so I'm gonna start doing that on Dawud's birthday, so March 21st.
