As a Figurative Sculptor from San Francisco and California native I find inspiration from the diversity of the people who live here as well as the ocean and nature. To me Sculpture is a gesture frozen in time. Subtle. Overt. Alive. It becomes a language written by the sculptor and interpreted by the audience in an infinite number of ways. In my work I try to bring to life an emotional vibrance, through the power of the human form. My muse if love and I am a romantic. I sculpt from from the live model and express myself through the mediums of clay and bronze. My passion is to express the particular qualities that provoked my feeling of anticipation during their molding. I search for a deeper reality combining the mysterious to a world of subtleties that express beauty, through vulnerability, strength and love. Most of my pieces are figurative and nude, some incorporate drapery and clothing. I have fifteen years of experience as a high end contemporary apparel designer and as a successful high fashion retailer in San Francisco, California. I have been an artist my entire life and am constantly humbled by the beauty and grace of the human form. I am fascinated by how each face shares a unique lifetime of stories, to me this is true beauty.

Now that I am working on my new series I'm reminded of the journey of my last body of work; the seven piece (9 figures) bronze Eternity series. Many people don't know that I sculpted the Eternity series a second time after it melted due to a heat wave ((2 days before I had planned to deliver them to the foundry). And since I work in oil base plasteline just imagine the consistency of the medium of wax and how heavy clay is. So when it softened (like butter) due to the heat wave some of my pieces due to gravity collapsed and others dripped down the armatures. The next day I began the 6 month process of resculpting all seven pieces of the Eternity series.
