I did think that the second time I saw it! It made me weep. Rickman was a true genius.

Is it just me, or in the Avada Kedavra scene, Severus’s voice breaks just a little on the incantation…letting us know how distressed he really is about doing what he needed to do…I think maybe I’ve thought about this too much….lol

Amen indeed. Snape's character developed more in that short time than most do in an entire series. Now if JK could bring out an unending series of books about Snape's life is be grateful...

9 years... (Cursed Child spoilers)

I’ve waited 9 years for another canon glimpse of Severus Snape, and although I cannot complain, for his scenes absolutely did not disappoint…I cannot help but feel that I learnt very little about Severus because instead of bestowing us with any new revelations, his screentime was entirely taken up by the author having to shout:

“For those of you who weren’t paying attention and didn’t understand the previous seven books, I will say it once more - with feeling:

I’ve made a resolution to comment on every fic that I kudos from now on…multiple times if its novel length.

Since I started following (and getting to know) authors through tumblr, I’ve realized how much work goes into these beautiful stories. A LOT more than I ever realized.

I have to admit, I’ve been VERY guilty of never commenting (mostly due to social anxiety tbh)…but fanfic helps me so much and brings me such joy to read. So I’m gonna try to tell the authors how much I appreciate them. I may even go hit up some old favorites and comment on them too.

@corariley I’m sure you noticed the comment spam…LW is the first fic I’ve read since I made my resolution 💖
