HAHAHAHAH icry b/c if she DID know and she was trying to plan their wedding (which I feel like drew and ginny are kinda “jokingly” already planning themselves #idiots) that that might actually break them up b/c drew would freak out haha 

OMMMMMMGGGG OMG OMG!!! Pippa trying to set Annie and Drew up on a date would be the most disastero s and awkward thing in the world!!! especially if it was like a blind date and neither of them knew it was a date and OMG then if it got back to ginny and UGH (drew: way to go pippa) ... so basically this is my way of saying that that should def be a thing ;DDD

um the boss screaming YOUTHS is absolutely a thing!!!!! AHHHHH omg omg omg I also really want drew to get a key to the building???? ANd somehow he’s like become the boss’s most trusted person (I feel like he might legit work there part-time or something and he’s like “this started out as a prank but now it’s a legit job???” but smdh he def uses his power for ~evil~ and helps ria mess everything up when their boss isn’t looking and is like “the youths are increasing in force” or something when the boss points out the the pranks have actually gotten worse since he started (drew: imagine what it would be like if i wasn’t here!! :DDD) 

anyway maybe it’s just been a few years?? like maybe they met through valerie????

omg tho idek what that would be like but honestly SO TERRIFYING!!!!! altho ... I weirdly think that it might be less terrifying w/ both of them than with just adam just b/c I feel like adam is crueler with his pranks than drew is??? like I feel like drew might help to ~pull him back~ a little when they work together, if that makes sense???

so these two are both honorary selznicks! so i’m thinking they’re probably friends??? and stu probably spends A LOT of time at will and drew’s house. and yeah. i think stu loves everyone who lives there and they are all his bros and he enjoys them all?? …. also the five year old in me is like DREW AND STU’S NAMES RHYME SO THEY HAVE TO BE FRIENDS. so there’s also that, haha.

Drew rolled his eyes, but otherwise chose to ignore her obvious sarcastic comment about his relationship with Ginny. 

He was more than willing to switch the conversation from his love life to her’s and, leaning over on the counter, “Ooh, is it Alan? Don’t know that kid that well,” He said, “But he seems like a nice guy.” He paused, “If the food selection at his party was anything to judge his character by -- and I think that’s always a great starting point -- he’s a keeper.” 

He paused, drumming his hands on the counter again as he realized he’d run out of things to say, “Hey, do you mind if I borrow your computer for two seconds?” He asked.

“Not bad, not bad,” He agreed, “The main problem with that one is that we’d be wrecking the lawn, and if there’s anything I learned about living here is that the lawn is off limits. We dig a hole in their backyard and there’s every chance that we end up in it ... although I really do like the idea of digging the hole and then just trying to convince them that we’ve started construction on a pool and that it’d be easier to expand it than try to fill it in.” 

He laughed, “But knowing those guys, they’d just give us a lecture about how we’ve dug the hole wrong and it would turn into a lecture about how neither of us have any construction skills and there would probably be a practical component and trust me, you don’t want to be apart of that.”

He considered Seth’s suggestion for a moment. “But there’s something about a wet Owen that reminds me of a drowned grumpy cat and that’s something I’d like to see, so I like where you are going with that.” He paused, “Not sure what exactly or how yet, but, dude, we gotta do something with that.” 

He pulled out his phone, “In the meantime, I’m gonna make a quick craigslist post - what do you think? Should I put up a fake post advertising Owen’s truck for sale at a ridiculously low price or a yard sale for Sunday starting at like ... 6AM?”

“We could start over, but I’m enjoying watching you being all surprised to see me, here of all places, in my own house,” He said, teasingly. “I know you are shocked, but I decided that today, I’m gonna just go ahead and live my normal life, like I do everyday,” He said, “I know that was a great story, wanna hear me tell it again?” 

“So, what are you doing here?” He asked. He forked a thumb over his shoulder, pointing to the flowers in the kitchen, “Putting bee food in our house?” 

He laughed, “Uh, my day?” He’d had the day off and he’d spent it being just as productive as if he’d been at work (which meant not at all when it came to things that mattered). The truth was, he’d spent it replacing all of the cream in the Oreos with toothpaste and setting alarms for 3:00AM and hiding them around the house. 

“Let’s just say, you probably don’t wanna eat any of the cookies you find around here.” He grinned, mischievously. Then, he shook his head, “You know, I’m starting to wonder why these guys haven’t kicked me out yet. I’d kick me out.” He shrugged, “It’s probably because I’m their only friend.” He teased. 

Shake It Off | Natalie & Drew

“There,” Natalie grinned as she put her hands on her hips, looking around the Selznick-Weisman house.  “It’s lovely.”  A spray of flowers erupted from the otherwise very masculine landscape of the living room and, from this angle, she could spot another she’d placed in the kitchen.  “Now it looks like spring!” she declared as she plumped one of the pillows on the sofa.

Work had been stressful today.  There were all the usual little stresses, but it was getting warm and now somehow Virginia Beach had become a place to be seen for the up-and-coming, what with established “elites” like the Porters and the Ackermans and the Kanes all growing roots here, which meant being rude to the hotel staff to prove a point of supposed superiority.  Natalie had gotten more than enough of that side of things when she’d dated Max and she really didn’t need anymore of it, ever.  Her attitude, of course, had always been ‘kill it with kindness,’ and it carried her through but it also wore her out.

Her answer to a day like this?  Clean the hell out of something.  She’d been meaning to swing by the residence for days now and, at last, the time had arrived.  The house practically glistened with cleanliness.

Hearing footsteps behind her, Natalie screamed and whirled around, clutching a broom as if for dear life.  “Drew!” she exclaimed, recognizing the figure.  “What on earth are you doing here?!”  Her grip loosened on the broom and her brows crinkled as she realized she was standing in the middle of his house.  “That is…you surprised me.”  She laughed and, shaking her head, put her face in one hand.  “Wow.  Sorry.  Can we start over?  Um, hi, Drew, how’s your day been?”

“Ha, okay cool --- so I’m not the most annoying person in your life?” He asked, raising his eyebrows, “Or, y’know, not the only annoying person in your life.” He added, “Either way, I’m feeling better about myself.” 

Drew stiffened a little at the mention of Ginny. They’d decided that this was casual; they’d decided to take this slow. That seemed to suit them both, but everyone around them seemed to think that they days away from announcing that they were going to get married. 

What Drew couldn’t see was how obvious it was to everyone around them how much they cared about each other. Drew hadn’t even admitted it to himself how much he liked Ginny. The last time he’d been with a girl, he’d fallen too fast, too soon, and she’d used him. He wasn’t ready to get hurt again, so he told himself that it didn’t matter. 

They’d just been casually dating.  They’d just causally adopted a dog together. They just casually spent all of their time together. They just causally acted like they were already married. 

��Oh, we aren’t like that,” He said, waving his hand to brush off the question, “I mean, we don’t do disgustingly cute. We don’t even really do things. We just chill out, go with the flow. It’s casual ... we’ll probably just order takeout and watch netflix.” 

He looked back over to Elaine, “What about you? Got plans for the weekend?”

okay so I know that we talked about these two for a hot second but I honestly can’t remember what we said????? but I do know that the newspaper and the news station has a kinda friendly rivalry going but haha omg drew doesn’t care about that at all???? like he probably jokes about it but tbh he’s probably like bffs with the news sports guys even though they are def his competition he honestly is pretty chill about that kinda thing ANYWAY i think he’d love amaira and think she’s totally adorable/respect the hell out of her??

“Yeah, we gotta head out now if we are gonna make the first pitch,” He said, pulling his bag over his shoulder, “Meet you at my truck in ten?” He asked. 

Drew stopped by his desk to grab his notes, recorder, and a couple of extra pens which he stuffed into his bag. He suddenly wondered if he had done the right thing in asking her. They’d worked on assignments before since their break-up, but it was easily a forty minute drive to the stadium from there and they’d never had that much time together alone without work to keep them busy since then. 

He didn’t want to talk about their past and he hoped she wouldn’t bring it up, either. It probably would do them both good to clear the air, but Drew never thought about things long-term. He lived for the here and now and here and now he didn’t want to talk about anything serious. 

“You ready to go?” He asked, “Fair warning: my driving has only gotten worse ... so you are gonna wanna buckle up. On the bright side, I’ll probably get us there in 1/2 the time or not at all, because we will be dead in a fiery car crash,” He said, teasingly, “But hey, what a way to go, right?”
