Sasha Ninel Naumov

Sasha, daughter of Thanatos, as well as captain of the Underworld, born September 27th, 1993, in Volgograd, Russia.

First give that Sasha wasn't normal was that she was a stillborn. For 3-4 minutes, she was dead. Just when the doctors said that Sasha couldn't be saved, she started crying.

Her mother, Arina Dunya Naumov, had an uncountable amount of heart attacks during Sasha's childhood. Everytime Sasha went to sleep, she slept like she was dead. Because she was. It stopped when she was around 6 years old, thank goodness, but Arina still has nightmares about it sometimes.

Sasha grew up well taken care of. She was never left out despite her mother's busy schedule and the lack of similarities between her and her older sibling. Except for the whole dead sleep thing and the one time she fought and adopted a stray cat that might have burned down a house, she had a pretty normal young life.

She had her first dangerous run-in with a monster when she was twelve, and even then it wasn't that bad. Sure, she was scared- who wouldn't be?- but she had a feeling that it could be a lot worse than a few harpies deciding to fuck around and find out.

She told her mother they were birds. Then the next week she told her the birds came back. Sasha kept coming up with different things to call the monsters that were now showing up weekly.

Arina believeed the stories her daughter told her at first. But when she saw Sasha giving someone the stink eye before noticing the singular eye on the man's face, she started paying a lot more attention to what her daughter did. Grabbing her penknife and a stun gun before leaving for the park. "In case a perv or whatever tries something." A first aid kit to the store. "To throw at bruised egotistical bitch asses." Then she'd come home and Arina could tell she had bandages on her leg.

When Sasha was 13, Arina decided to confront her about it. And Sasha told her. She was scared her mom would think she was going crazy. Arina instead called a camp in the U.S. and asked if they could come and pick her up.

Confusion, anger regarding her mother never told her of her lineage, and sadness seeing as how she would be so far away from home. The anger didn't last long, but added to the bitter feeling of homesickness. James was good company, but he was also sleeping for most of the flight to New York.

There were only two good things that seemed to happen to her when she got to Camp Half Blood. An explanation, and a small, spunky Finnish-American girl who must've had a library of swears in the back of her mind. Alex became her best friend in a week- Sasha'd tell you "she has a magnetic personality", and she's not lying. That's just not the reason why they seem to get along so well. Don't ask them what it is, though, because they don't know either.

Sasha was sorted into the Hermes cabin until her father claimed her. But unlike others, she couldn't care less about who her dad was. She's working towards being more herself around everyone here. She's working on her combat skills, and she's making friends. She might be far from home, but she won't be lonely in the states.

Thought-to-speech technology that gets hacked by people who want text messages from their pets while they are at work, only to immediately regret it because their pets text them the dumbest things, and the only way to get any kind of a clear image of what's going on is texting the other pets for cross-reference.

Like you get a text from your dog going "END IS HERE DOOM IS COMING URGENT URGENT SEND TEXT G-D HAVE MERCY, HUMAN COME HOME IMMEDIATELY", (you have no idea why the text translator has decided that your dog is jewish, but that doesn't feel important enough to look into or change) and before you do, you text the cat like "what's going on?"

And the cat replies "sunshine is turned off, window is cold >:C" so okay that's a clue. You've got a monitor lizard that doesn't do much monitoring, but will reply with whatever the lizard is feeling right now if you text "?" first.

"hwrmbglhlr the earth rumbles are sexy", replies the lizard. Okay, so dog panic, no sunshine, and the lizard is sensing vibrations. Oh, there's a rain storm overhead. Fuck's sake.

Yep. Well in my opinion, anyway.

Alex has a bit of a rasp to their voice, and it's especially evident when she laughs and it sounds wonderful.

Sasha still has a bit of her Russian accent, and mixed with her almost broody personality, she somehow becomes even more attractive.

Alex, daughter of Apollo and current holder of the Blessing of Icarus, born on December 3rd, 1994 in Santa Cruz, Arizona.

Her mother, Ayla Unity Stichs, was a jeweler- a crafter. She had many talents, and this attracted the god of many talents. It also didn't hurt that she was drop dead gorgeous and one of the most loving, wonderful, fun-filled people Apollo ever met. Not on par with Daphne or Hyacinthus, but still.

After Alex was born with wings, Ayla knew that Apollo was something nonhuman. And since Alex's father wasn't human, that meant Alex wasn't either. Instead of being scared or repulsed, Ayla was now more determined than ever to give her new daughter some semblance of a peaceful life.

Ayla spent the next 5 years as a single mother, occasionally visiting her sister's and the La Rue's, only to be shocked when her nephew or Clarisse complimented her daughter's wings. They didn't seem to have any malicious intent, and Alex liked being around them- they were her friends, blood or not.

2 years later, Alex's mother got engaged to Richard Leon. Bad news: he was actually really toxic. They broke the news to him about Alex not being fully human and showed him her wings, only for him to be disgusted by her and yank a few of her feathers out. No child of his would be like this, and he'd tear those from her back to show it. Ayla threw him out of the house that very moment. However, the damage had been done, and now fear and anxiety seeped into Alex, and that's how it found her.

Half a week after Alex had her feathers ripped from her back, she encountered her first monster. 2 of them, in fact. Both chased after Alex, both were stopped by her mother, and both enjoyed tearing her mother apart.

After that, Alex was 100% sure she was a curse. Hopping around from foster home to foster home, staying a little longer at the ones that hated her. One sent her away to a Catholic all girl's school. She left as soon as she could. Another sent her to a summer camp- despite the fact that fall had just begun- in Long Island, but with a chaperone to make sure she didn't run off this time. Gleeson Hedge was a tough cookie, but somewhat nice- he reminded her of Reese, her best friend back in Santa Cruz.

When they reached the camp, Alex was amazed and extremely confused. Why does a summer camp need a climbing wall with lava???? What kinda camp teaches blacksmithing???? And who in the HELL is that and why does he have a horse butt??? Even after Chiron explained it to her, Alex was still somewhat surprised. She knew about monsters, but in all honesty she thought she was one. Not a child of a divine diety or some shit. But she didn't go insane, so she figured that was the first step. The second was figuring out where she was going, and what lied ahead of her.

i specifically said that i wouldn't have a normal-ish masterlist cuz i didn't want to write over 300 words per scenario and a 500000 word explanation. and here i am, thinking of making 29 different lists to keep everything organized to some extent.

i can't tell if i wanna do that or not, but i'll edit it and if i don't like it i'll change it back.
