sometimes when i am dealing with a mild allergic reaction i think how easily you can weaponize a human body against itself, and i wonder if anyone has tried making an allergen that all people react to. then i realize that would be a poison, and those already exist

how do I put this.

the curb cut effect is real (i.e. when the world is more accessible, both abled and disabled people benefit from it). and like. it is completely fine to mention the benefits that abled people can gain from accessibility

the problem is that disabled people are always expected to prioritise abled feelings over our own. so it is also completely reasonable when we hear. for the millionth time. "image descriptions also help people who have dodgy internet!" and "ramps help people who have babies in a pram!" etc etc. that might make some of us irritated, to say the least. there should not have to be an abled justification for disabled access
