Save My Brother Samer’s Life 🚨

I’m writing as a brother watching Samer struggle for survival. His health has deteriorated to the point of falling into a coma, and we are unable to provide him with the necessary treatment. 💔

Samer suffers from bipolar disorder, and his stability relied on daily medications including LeponeX (Clozapine), Depalept Chrono (Sodium Valproate), and Lithium CO3 (Lithium Carbonate). These medications helped stabilize him, but without them, his health has worsened significantly. Every moment is crucial, and the pain and worry are relentless. 😞

There is no place for my brother in the hospital, and we cannot secure the treatment he needs. Imagine being unable to help your own brother as he struggles, without a way to provide the medicine he needs to recover.

Please Help Me Feed My Children in Gaza – We Are Starving

Dear kind soul,

I never thought I would have to write a message like this. I am a father of five children, living in Gaza — and we are starving.

We have no food. No clean water. No safety. My children cry from hunger every day, and as their father, my heart breaks because I cannot feed them. I have injuries from Israeli airstrikes, and my health is getting worse, but the worst pain I feel is watching my children suffer without being able to help them.

This is not a famine. This is forced starvation. We are being deprived of food and aid. We are dying slowly, silently.

Please, I am begging you — if you can donate anything, even the smallest amount, it can mean a meal for my children. If you cannot donate, please share my plea with others. Your voice could reach someone who can help.

This is @abdalsalam2000's blog banner. Nader is a Palestinian teenager trying to raise money for his family of seven (parents, brothers, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew) to escape the genocide in Gaza.

He's been active on tumblr for a long while now, and was one of the first to have their campaigns vetted: #4 on the gazavetters list! His goal is €50,000 (equivalent to around $56,723 with current exchange rates) which would enable his family to travel to safety.

Nader has worked extremely hard to raise these funds--tirelessly initiating conversations with strangers on tumblr, building social relationships, and promoting his campaign. He's raised €41,213 so far.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to have worked so hard, for so long, under such brutal conditions. To be so close to raising the total funds you need (82% of the way there!) but because you are just under €9,000 short, your family is still trapped.

Please help him raise the remaining 18%. After all of this, let it not be in vain.

I was just informed that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is currently planning to rescind their definition "harm" that is currently part of the endangered species act. You can find out more about this and the impact that it will have here: https://savetheesa.org/federal-register

This rule change will make destroying endangered species habitat no longer illegal under ESA regulations. As you can imagine, that will be catastrophic for countless species and their habitats, including many of our local herp species. The government is accepting public comments on this move until May 19th. If you love our wildlife and our wild places, I highly recommend submitting a comment urging US Fish and Wildlife to oppose the rescinding of this measure. My husband, Shadi, was shot during the war. His condition is critical and he urgently needs treatment, but we simply cannot afford it.

My youngest daughter needs milk, and I can’t provide it for her. We are dying slowly… there is no food, no water, no medicine.

A bag of flour now costs $500 — an unimaginable price we cannot pay.

We have nothing to eat, and today we were forced to eat sea turtles just to stay alive.

We are living a real catastrophe. I plead with anyone who has mercy in their heart to look at our situation.

I’m a mother of a baby with no milk, a wife to a man between life and death, and the head of a family that has nothing to eat.

The war has taken everything — our home, our safety, our food, and even the milk from my daughter’s mouth.

My children and I lived under bombardment and aggression. We had a safe home full of dreams and a bright future for my daughters.

But everything changed when the war on Gaza began. Our house, which we built with strength and effort before the war, was destroyed.

We lost our job, which was our only source of income. The journey of displacement and moving from one place to another began without the minimum necessities of life. We faced difficulties in providing healthy food and clean water. We lived in fear and terror. My daughters could no longer sleep from the intensity of fear.

My mother-in-law suffers from serious lung infections and chronic diseases, and we find it difficult to provide appropriate treatment for her, especially in the winter and the bitter cold. She is part of our family after losing her husband. We are now without shelter, moving from one place to another, and struggling to survive. Today we have no income, no life, and no work. We are determined to rebuild our dreams, secure our future, and rebuild our home. We cannot do this alone and we need your help in building our lives.
