My piece for the GENREPHONE art telephone game run by @pythosart ! Each person in the chain interpreted the previous one in a new genre. Mine is a spooky vintage kinda thing inspired by Edward Gorey.

I had no idea what to expect, but it went absolutely nuts and everyone knocked it out of the park. I will have the full lineup posted soon, as well as hosted on @ascalaphid's website!

Kaiju #11- CHIMERA

A very aggressive Kaiju despite its intermediate stature, frequently attacks humans and cities

It has a strange chemical-based reaction in its upper throat that allows it to breath superheated gas, like invisible fire

i was very suicidal and wobbly moodwise for a good few months (well also years but i had a real bad bout recently from around autumn last year) but i'm feeling more stable now than i ever have, even though life is throwing me some real shit still i'm persevering and on occasion really loving life in terms of commissions and illustration as a job though, i think i'm calling it quits. its never been hugely lucrative for me, and times are tough for a lot of us financially now, so i for sure don't feel resentful about all my clients completely drying up especially w the death of twitter. i was feeling worse about it as tied into other stuff about feeling like a failure, but it just is what it is, the system doesn't REALLY work if you're an artist online, i've never fully felt like a pro - except now i don't see that as a bad thing for me! i'm just trying to have fun w art, it is a tool for me to unwind and relax and feel alive, i don't want introduce unnecessary stressors when i could have it be a more pure thing!

i can not promise a return to posting art but i have filled up a sketchbook in the space of a month so its good to have a bit of passion back (i feel a light coming into my life)
