“You have?” he asks softly. To know that she was thinking of the other worlds beyond her own already.. perhaps his speech to the members of the Illumanti had already resonated? At first he wasn’t sure what to think of their group. They were the smartest in the world, yet.. he felt that could also come with it’s risks. Arrogance being one of them.

Captain Carter however, was one of the most understanding and headstrong willed woman he had ever met. His heart races as she continues with her words. She thought it was a good idea? Gods how he hoped to hear those words but wasn’t sure if she would accept his proposal. 

Mr. Fantastic nearly has to hold back tears. Tears not of sadness or sorrow, but ones of happiness that someone finally understands. And that he can count on Peggy Carter for anything. “I-I don’t know what to say..” he whispers. “Thank you. Thank you, for everything. And.. thank you for understanding. I promise that we’ll do so much good with this. We’ll save so many lives. Not just on this world, but on trillions of others.”

Reed Richards lets out a shy chuckle before clearing his throat and face of emotions. “Well I.. didn’t want to be disrespectful to you is all.” He handsomely smiles. Suddenly the middle of his body is stretching forward, bending to the right of the Captain as he looks around her uniform and blue eyes land on her British shield made from Vibranium. 

“Hmm..” he hums to himself. His head stretches forward a bit as well. His entire body was like a giant thick string. And while most figured that he would be easy to take down.. what they didn’t know was that his stretching abilities also limited his pain sensors. Someone would have to pack a real punch for him to actually feel something. 

The blue suited elongated man runs his finger over his chin in deep thought. “You know, your shield - and I mean no disrespect by this - is a bit.. outdated.” an arm stretches all the way across the workshop and grabs a digital pad which he uses to bring up a schematic of Captain Carter’s new and improved shield. “Nanotechnology. For stealth missions of course. Resistant to magic and spells of any kind with a special rune provided by Doctor Strange.”

Reed hands her the pad and suddenly his body retracts itself back to his normal form. “You can test the prototype maybe later if you’d like? I’m staying up for most of the night. And.. I’m also working on our device that will be monitoring the multiverse.”

He doesn’t belong in this universe, but they accepted him anyways. 

His world was destroyed by a woman he once thought was an ally but.. for once in his life it felt like Reed Richards had been drastically wrong.

The lab located in New York City belongs to the Illumanti, a big giant building scaling the entire city that is a headquarters for the members of the protectors of Earth to meet together, rest, and do whatever needed to be done to protect the world.

As of now, the man known as Mr. Fantastic on his world is currently working on a Quinjet prototype, a favorite of Captain Carter. What a discovery that was. That SIS, MI6 agent and SHIELD founder Peggy Carter replaced Steve Rogers as the super soldier that shocked the world during World War II. 

His blue and black suit has smooth textures, and the big bold number four on the center of his chest is a way of remembering what he lost not so long ago. The entire facility is mostly quiet, but Reed Richards never seems to sleep much. His body is stretched apart all around the hanger, working on the jet, grabbing tools and experimenting with whatever he could find.

Mr. Fantastic hears the hanger door open, only for the strong, tall, and muscular British captain to walk into the big grey room. The middle of his elongated body suddenly stretches in a reverse form, his limbs reconnecting together perfectly as he uses a hand to slick his black and grey hair back against his head. 

“Sorry if the noise was too loud Captain. I just figured I’d get her ready to fly. Never know when we might need her for a team centered mission.” he explains as he takes a few steps towards her, giving a soft and kind smile that only a man like Reed Richards could give. “I also.. wanted to say thank you. For everything you’ve done for me. You, Professor Xavier - everyone. You gave me hope. And I almost thought I had lost it.”

There’s a sigh from Doctor Richards as he takes a moment to think to himself. Interdimensional portal.. so the machine had worked? Well, that was a bit scary. Reed wasn’t even planning on testing the damn thing until he got back from Hawaii! 

“Of course he did.” He takes a square remote device out from his pocket, his hand which has his ring finger wrapped with their wedding band interlocks with her own. “Well, there’s no point in staying here then. I’ll cancel the tickets and explain to them there was a interdimensional emergency.. or I’ll just tell them we had an Avengers level issue. Both are the truth.”

BEEP! The remote suddenly transports the two back to the Baxter Building. Reed Richard’s removes his clothes, shifting back into his blue and black Fantastic Four uniform. He slicks his black and grey hair back before looking to his beautiful wife. “Alright.. we gotta manage to calm them down somehow. Any ideas Doctor Storm?” he teases with a wide grin.

Answering the phone, Sue handed her husband her carry on bag so he could put it on the belt before they walked through security.  It was the first time the two of them were going to take a trip in years and whne she looked down and saw her brother’s number, she sighed. 

The expression on her face began to change as Johnny rambled on and on, finally she hung up and took the bag off the converer and frowned a Reed. “Looks like our trip is going to have to wait.  Johnny went in the back room of our office and tripped over an interdimensional porter and the Baxter building is full of Avengers from other universes.  He’s panicking and I heard Ben in the background just laughing at him.”
