The funniest thing that's happened in the Disco fandom is the fact that some KimxHarry shippers try so hard to pretend that Harry is some demon that's going to relapse and that Kim is a sacred uwu savior who's too good for him.

On the other hand, we have some JeanxJudit shippers acting like they've got some dark dubcon toxic power dynamic shit happening when it's clear they have the healthiest, dullest relationship, and Jean turns into a puddle of doodoo when Judit snaps at him.

Yknow I don't honestly even hate the interpretation that Jean had to deal with a lot when Harry was spiraling, I think it's interesting to think about what their dynamic could have been since we don't actually know a lot of concrete info. There is evidence to show they at least had a somewhat decent rapport prior to martinaise (the fact he thought Harry would find the wig funny means they at least joked with eachother), so there's something to explore there. I don't doubt that both of them were shitty to eachother. What I just can't stand is people who act like Harry wasn't *also* there for his spiral. Like Harry was going through mental anguish and addiction and burn out because he *liked* it and wasn't suffering horribly. Like, the reason I don't hate Jean is because he *is* an interesting character and his dynamic with Harry has a lot of potential, but it drives me up the wall when people don't extend the empathy they give Jean to Harry as well. That's where the ableism comes in. I'm just asking why you think Jean is more deserving of forgiveness than Harry like please just think about it for 3 seconds and maybe evaluate your answer.

I think it boils down to a thing for like a weird office romance + the cliche "saint/kind woman FIXES broken/angry man" wattpad bullshit that people eat tf up.

There are fics and pieces out there where Judit is put in some really fucked up situations with Jean clearly abusing his power. And then they're like oh yah she's just relieving stress. Like have you not read what happened with her and mills? Not saying u can't use fiction to create dark shit but...

Also, the glove parallels to me just don't really hint at much romance? To me it shows how miserable Jean is at work, and how Judit gets treated well because she's not a bitch-boy and is trying SO hard to show resilience through hardship (I mean GOTTLIEB was being chill with her) Or, perhaps I just have bad reading comprehension, fuck. It's wholesome but that's it.

Whenever people speak up about the pairing they get hit with that "YOU HATE WOMEN!!!!" spiel. It's just so strange and icky to me.

it's really bleak! not going to argue that its out of character because she is characterized as very passive its just the most depressing read on her situation I can imagine
