Tezzeret constantly complains about Bitcoin and other Crypto miners driving up the cost of GPUs, meanwhile he literally has a couple of servers in his closet mining Etherium.

He feels exempt from it because he mines Etherium with AMD but uses NVidia for gaming and he is convinced they are obviously the correct GPUs for those jobs. So the people driving up the NVidia prices to mine crypto instead of using them for gaming are really dumb.

Also: Chandra volunteered to be a Fire Warden. Likely with Liliana convincing her that she could create "authentic" fire drills.

Hey friend! Has it been asked yet as to where my main dude Ugin is in the Officewatch Canon?

Ugin is one of the companies shareholders and he’s a real hardass and the office goes into full butt-pucker mode whenever he’s around. Him and Bolas used to own Bolas’ company together, but once things started to get serious, Bolas pushed Ugin out. Whenever Ugin and Bolas are in the same room together, the temperature feels like it drops several degrees and they never stop staring coldly at one another.

ok, building off of other stuff in the officewatch Lore, what if ral surprise visited jace after hours with the usual six pack of high life only to be faced with the Awkward situation of socially interacting with gideon, who was hanging out with jace at the time (playing videogames or something idk)

Ral tries very very hard not to appear to be jealous because whenever he shows up at Jace’s place, Jace always seems exhausted (happy to see him, but definitely drained) but around Gideon, Jace seems to have a lot more energy and just seems overall a lot more content. Ral can’t even get a decent buzz because Gideon just pounds like four of his beers and doesn’t even seem tipsy after the fact.

Officewatch!Samut is a political activist protesting Bolas's Amonkhet Expo when the Gatewatch roll in to fuck shit up. She joins up with them because hey, enemy of my enemy, but they are 100% not taking this seriously and she just gets stuck playing comedic foil for the entire episode.

They seemed like they were literally there to take part in legitimately protesting, but then we cut to her standing in the back of the group while they’re spiking refreshments. She doesn’t seem amused at all.

“What will this accomplish?” She asks before Liliana is like “hold these” and gives her a box full of whoopie cushions.

(This arc also leads the gang to totally forget they spiked said refreshments and Jace just gets absolutely smashed, drunk buys a plane ticket etc.)

Officewatch: Jace meets Angrath when he has to fly international for a business trip, but loses all his papers and ID, and gets stuck waiting in the Customs & Immigration area for days. Due to ridiculous bureaucratic regulations, Angrath has been stuck there for over a month and all the airport staff avoids eye contact with him at all costs. He seems mean, but he just wants to get back home to his daughters at his ranch in Texas.

Jace keeps having super awkward run-ins with Angrath, like he walks into the bathroom and there’s Angrath at the urinal and he hits Jace with a look that makes him regret ever being born.

At some point Jace happens to pass by Angrath and notices he dropped his wallet and doesn’t notice. He decides to pick it up, maybe start a conversation- try to make friends while they’re both stick there and keep running into one another. He picks it up only for dozens if small, wallet-sized photos of his daughters just spill out. “How nice,” Jace thinks, “this guy clearly loves his daughters, certainly he can’t be that bad” and he looks up to find Angrath has turned around and is looking down at him like he caught Jace in the act to attempting to steal his wallet.

I think Huatli would be someone Jace met while he was super drunk in that far off city, and she's always really annoyed with him. Jace still doesn't know what he did.

Jace, after he gets home and settled in, finds her contact in his phone and he has no memory of entering it, so he texts her, just asking who this is. She sends him a picture of her flipping the bird and calling him a bitch. She never explains why, but every so often she just sends him pictures of her in different, exotic locals, just flipping him off.

Nahiri is HR

someone on the post suggested Xenagos and I think the pair of them are exactly what I would never want from HR. Nahiri uses her position to enact petty revenges for slights others aren’t even aware they’ve made against her while Xenagos looks for and tries to retain people who are a good time at his weekend parties.

my first thought for the position was Tezzeret precisely because he’s so obviously the in-house IT guy and instead he’s put in the worst position possible for him. but Nahiri and Xenagos are better choices for equally wrong reasons.
