Note
How does the Temple of Abandon make sense for the reprint of it in Theros Beyond Death? It was called that in the original Theros set because there wasn't a red/green god until Xenagos ascended to godhood. But in Theros Beyond Death, Klothys is the red/green god and she's being actively worshiped.
Abandon has multiple definitions. While it can mean “to leave completely and finally”, it also can mean “a complete surrender to natural impulses without restraint or moderation”. I believe the name is referencing the latter definition.

Quite a few of the Theros gods were compleated and then destroyed (I think) when the invasion ended. From what I understand about them, they get affected by their worship in significant ways (like how Heliod was compleated). Could they make a return through their worship being that strong? Also, which ones survived anyway? Thank you.
Could they make a return? Possible but unlikely, remember that the people of Theros, in general, DON'T KNOW that it's their beliefs that shape the gods. Only a handful of people actually know that, like Xenagos or Ashiok. So in their minds, their gods are dead and were corrupted.
We don't have a solid list of which ones survived. The only confirmed was Ephara.

Name: Octavia
Species: Satyr Planeswalker
Gender and pronouns: Transfem She/Her
Color identity: GB
Height: 6'0"
Weight: ~170lbs
Age: 20yrs (AR)
Plane(s) of residence: Shiv, Dominaria (current), Arcavios, Innistrad
Plane of origin: Theros
Affiliations: Witherbloom College, Strixhaven (former student)
Titles/ranks/positions: N/A
Allied organizations: N/A
Companions/associates: Rain (ally, crush, source of immense frustration), Biilzie (Friend/it's complicated)
Likes: Insects (especially bees!), Mushrooms, Moss, zombies, dancing, hunting
Dislikes: Large groups or crowds, mirrors, swimming
Bio: Born on Theros, Octavia was often the black sheep(pun intended) of her community, due to her lack of interest in the hedonism and revels of most Satyrs. She often found herself alone in the woods, exploring, hunting, or gathering herbs to study.
She sparked at 15, when she was attacked while out in the woods by a group of Nylea's followers, who had chosen to interpret their God's ire for Xenagos and his ascension as a call to violence against Satyr kind and their revels.
Grievously injured, she Planeswalked to Innistrad, finding herself in the care of an elderly witch. There, she learned the basics of necromancy, studying the old shamanistic ways which predated Ghoulcalling and Stitching. Only months into her stay on Innistrad, her mentor was caught up in the Travails, and killed by the Flight of Moonsilver as a heretic.
Octavia planeswalked again to escape, eventually finding herself on Arcavios. Learning of Strixhaven, she took the opportunity to join Witherbloom college to continue her studies in necromancy and botany. She stayed there until the Phyrexian Invasion, when she, a long with other students, worked to repel the assault.
After the invasion, Octavia once again found herself unsettled, feeling unsafe in the place she had called her home for 3 years. Rather than stay and assist with the rebuilding efforts, she elected to travel the realms, trying to find someplace she could feel at home. Eventually, she ended up in Shiv on Dominaria, where she met the artificer Rain. Intrigued by him and his project, she elected to stay in the area for the time being, to assist him, and travel with him to find the parts he needs to repair the ship.

Likewise, I am thrilled beyond measure that when Magic: The Gathering decided to make their own divination deck, they opted for an oracle deck focused on one plane (Theros) instead of a tarot deck to try and cram 30+ years of lore into. Sure, there are some cards in there depicting characters because they're popular (Teferi, Jace, and Chandra), but other than that? Everything else is wholly Theros.
All of the gods - even Xenagos in his God of Revelry form - is present. Ajani and Brimaz are pictured together on one card, which is an absolute win for us furries. Niko, Gideon, and Ashiok are there. Elspeth gets two cards, one for her in the Underworld and one for her as Heliod's champion. The guidebook feels like it was written by someone who actually cares about using this for divination (even though the only spreads are the one-, three-, and five-card default spreads).
They went through the same publishing house as they did for the D&D tarot deck, Clarkson Potter, which is the same publishing house that did the Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani, and all of those decks have the same fascinating texture that makes it feel easier to shuffle, even though the cards in this oracle deck are HUGE; one of these cards is the same size as two playing cards/two MTG cards side-by-side.
Overall, very lovely deck in terms of physical material, artwork, and creation. I might have to see what other decks Clarkson Potter has published, since they're slowly worming their way to number one for me.

Thinking about Xenagos, but I'll put it under read more (also both Theros book spoilers!)
Thinking about how he was essentially the king of satyrs and eventually ascended as a God but still felt nothing
During most of the story, he fakes most of the positive emotions but mostly only genuinely feels irritation and annoyance, and I wonder if it's because he can't feel what the others feel in the revels
Tumblr media
Being a satyr that can't fully be into a revel has to feels ostracizing, everyone having fun and revels being the whole thing satyrs do (to the point that people from outside the valley come to join in) and you can't even loose yourself in them like the others, the satyrs also being known for being in good spirits and just generally being cheery folk, but what happens if you don't feel any of that? It has to feel awful, even if no one was actively excluding you from stuff, your brain sometimes does that for them.
Tumblr media
and we don't quite know what happened to make his spark awaken other than he described it as a moment of weakness, was it perhaps a want to be like the others that spiraled into a breakdown after realizing that he is just simply different and cant change it during the Bakkeia, or maybe something else? (I really wish we actually got info about this) was it something to do with hearing he was supposed to be a king, destined for something great but he can't even feel the euphoria like the other satyrs?
And now he's a part of that, part of euphoria they worship and he *still* can't feel it, he's the king of revels and he's still excluded from it all
And when he ascends into godhood it seems like he still cannot feel anything at all, despite ascending through a huge party and emotions probably being at an all time high he's *still* left out of it
Tumblr media
The only time he seems to feel (I think) is when he's being literally skewered by an arrow from a goddess that controls the valley he and all the other satyrs live in, which if he didn't use the belief system of Theros it would've killed him most likely
Tumblr media
((Which matches his colors of gruul, live fast die
Even faster apparently)
To add on, all the gods are made from belief from the mortals and such, and also seem to reflect their emotions on the domains the gods have, like Erebos and death for example
Erebos is gloomy and tyrannical, which lines up with the plane's thoughts about death
Xenagos becomes the God of revels, and perhaps its because he's still mortal, Elspeth sees an absence of emotions, I kinda wish we got a little bit on insight to what was happening with him during that time
I wonder if he had stayed a God longer if he'd feel the euphoria that the satyrs get from the revels or if he'd be forever numb to it all (a friend of mine described it like how Hera is a goddess of marriage, yet Zeus constantly cheats on her, it feels like a mockery)
I just find him interesting, he's a funky little satyr and I got attached :'3

Is there still a Pantheon of Gods on Theros? Sounded like a lot of them died during the invasion.
They didn’t all die. There is still a pantheon. And there is a means to make new Gods as Xenagos showed.

If I'm not mistaken, Elspeth was only able to kill Xenagos because she had the special blade Godsend that could damage the fabric of Nyx. How, then, was Kaya able to kill Heliod?
Kaya can exile creatures and enchantments and Elspeth can’t.
In all seriousness, compleation probably weakened him for a variety of reasons. And Kaya’s unique ghost magic is able to get at beings others can’t touch.
