1. This year’s hottest clubs were an Airbnb in Canonbury, a Nottinghamshire DJ class, a sewer in Newcastle and the London Underground...

We were nothing if not impressed when we heard in March that renters of an Airbnb in Canonbury had turned the flat into a pop-up nightclub with tickets and a bouncer - then just a few days later it was reported that a Nottinghamshire DJ class had to be broken up at 3:30am because 250 people held an impromptu rave in the classroom. The very next day, word spread another couple hundred people were caught holding a rave in a Newcastle sewer, how bad are these guy’s actual local clubs?!

2. Avicii made his triumphant return...

Avicii released new music! His ‘Avīci (01)’ EP contained six mind blowing tracks tracks that only the Swedish dance god could ever have come up with - we salute you Tim!

3. FYRE FESTIVAL

What to say that hasn’t already been said a thousand times about the worst festival ever to not happen in the history of music.. Headliners included Disclosure, Claptone, Major Lazer, Tensnake and a host of other huge names that never turned up to the campsite ghettos of Fyre Festival..

4. Pete Tong got together with the London Heritage Orchestra to recreate our favourite dance tracks of all time for his stunning new album...

Probably the most nostalgic album we’ve ever heard, Pete Tong absolutely smashed it with this new album - don’t even get us started on the live show 😵

5.  The DJ who played Connect 4 with the crowd 😂... 

One of the funniest videos this year was this Fabregas lookalike DJ trying to keep a killer mix going whilst also beating the crowd at a tense connect 4 game 😂 Watch here.
