                      IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER to find jean if he was linked to her mentally like scott was but warren would have to deal with the truth that he didn’t. flying over head the city scape, warren made sure to keep a high enough altitude so that he wouldn’t be spotted in the night sky. at best, he was probably confused to a low flying aircraft.  [ — jeanie? ] warren reached out mentally, only able to hope that jean would be able to pick him over the multitude of others she was probably hearing, [ jeanie where are you? it’s warren. ]

                  HE WAS SO TIRED with the adrenaline finally leaving his system, it was only his worry that was keeping him running. he hated being hidden away like this by his future counterpart and the others. of course it was understandable, because if anything happened to him the other would suffer --- but still. warren was starting to feel like a caged canary at this point. ❛ have you had the chance to see how jean and hank are doing? ❜ warren exhaled as he unbuttoned the top of his collar,  ❛ god, i can’t even breathe. ❜

Scott: This whole mess with Scott and logan. I don't know how to feel about it.

Scott: I hate that you and I have conflicting schedules.

Scott: Let's take the rest of the week off.

Warren: it's bad, that's what i've decided to feel about it

Warren: the scheduling conflict is only temporary, it won't last forever.

Warren: i like this plan. are we going somewhere?

HM: If it helps I haven't been focusing on much else. Anything else, honestly. This may not be too far from where we were chronologically but there's still been major improvements in just about every field, really. Maybe there's something I haven't come across yet that'll help.

HM: Also I think I adopted a cat.

WW: still don't think it's fair how he comes and asks us to save their butts but disappears on us before he even tells us how.

WW: if anyone can figure it out, it's you hank. just don't overwork yourself. before we end up making a worse version of back to the future

WW: as long as your cat doesn't ruin the curtains, it can come too.

HM: See, I didn't exactly find him, just some information.

HM: He'd tried to delete a lot of his files. I managed to recover most of them, but there's still a lot of passcode locks on everything.

HM: He really had no idea how to put us back, Warren. It looks like an intimidating undertaking even by my standards.

HM: Hope the offer still stands now that this information's on the table?

WW: well fuck.

WW: how in the hell do when we even get like this in the future? damn.

WW: look hank, of course the offer is still on the table. there's no way in hell i'm gonna leave you out here alone.

WW: we'll figure something out.

HM: Warren?

HM: Scott asked me to move in with you, by the way, if he hasn't mentioned. I told him I would consider it if you and future-you don't mind.

HM: That's not my point. Anyways. I found more information about future-Hank and it's kind of distressing me.

HM: I'd appreciate if you didn't tell Scott, by the way. He's stressed enough as is, in my opinion.

WW: Oh boy. Meeting out futureselves is always fun stuff. You get a chance to yell at him for abandoning us in this timeline? I hope you did.

WW: Either way, I'm here to help Hank. What wrong?

WW: And Hank, I got plenty of room here at the condo. You could totally stay here if you want. We all have to stick together afterall.

                ❛ YEAH — well i’m you so i don’t think it’s that much of a big deal. ❜ that made sense on some level, right? shutting the door behind him, warren folded his arms across his chest loosely. ❛ gotta say --- i’m still used to seeing this as dad’s office. ❜

“My father would have appreciated the discretion. Thank you for your business.” Warren lets out a sigh. His back was killing him and he needed to release his wings. As soon as the client left his office, Warren removed his shirt and harness so that he could spread his wings, not realizing someone else had stepped into his space. “Knocking is a thing you know.”

“Have you ever read Peter Pan? I wanted to reread a book from my childhood, so I’ve started it again, and I’m loving it.”

Warren nudged his counterpart with his elbow and kept his smile for the woman. “What are you doing tonight? There’s this new place downtown. Maybe we can catch up.” The woman smirks and stamps all of ‘Daniel’s’  paperwork. “You’re a doll for this, Eva.” Warren points to the camera . “Danny…stand there for your picture.” Eva handed him her number and he pocketed it. 

OKAY --- was it a bit conceded to think that he flirted better than his own self? probably. “ you’re doing really good, you know. ” warren smirked as he passed his counterpart and stood where you was instructed to do so. waiting for the woman to get through the process, her attention being half distracted by his older self’s advances. “ you know --- ” warren pipped up, wanting to throw a wrench in this interaction, “ my uncle really has a thing for you. ”

warren felt anxious as he watched logan dial for the ambulance. Of course he wasn’t going to argue it if that was what it took to save scott’s life, but still, they were going to risk discovery. “ hey, you hear him, scott? you can’t pass out on me yet. ” flickering his gaze upwards, warren watched logan carefully. the look on his face reminded him of what scott, the older one, had told him. trust me, bad news all over. it made warren question his choice, question whether he would trust the man he had been sent to stop or trust the one he had yet to meet in his own time line. shit. a muscle in warren’s jaw flexed as he clenched his teeth. this was a mess.
