Everything up to “It will all be painfully clear soon enough.” is canon only difference is Hope got on the bus and never looked back.  Freya and Rebekah gave her the day to say goodbye to everyone but she was expected to be in New Orleans in three days time after the stunt she pulled.

Hope gets into some therapy because it was demanded of her by family. While they don’t seem to be the type to be all in it is clear that Hope needs something because the goal is to keep her ALIVE for a while longer because her parents did want Hope to have an actual life first.

That said,  Hope has other plans for herself and right before her 19th birthday she just decides that aging is for the birds. She doesn’t do it with the family’s permission and how they feel is up to the muns of the family members if we interact in this verse.

My canon divergence on the Roman / Hope relationship is still the same.  So is how Hayley died. I’m willing to tweak it and things for Hayley blogs but I would prefer to keep Hope’s hand not being the main reason that her mother died as the kidnapping mommy made no sense.

Hope takes up Alpha of the pack with ease.  I’ve heard (Not sure how true because I’ve not researched it but it makes sense) that you have to kill the alpha. While the pack is loyal to Hope and Hayley there was time when there was no one in charge and someone stronger stepped in.  From what I’ve been told the moment Hope steps back in town she is a threat and those two would face off in a battle and Hope would end up killing the wolf that had taken spot as Alpha and securing her place as the ruler.  She doesn’t blink in the kill,  feels nothing but a thrill until hours later when she is home washing blood from skin and sobbing in the shower.

A month into being alpha of the pack is when she takes the power of the witches.  has no problem doing what she needs to do to survive and then a month or two after that is when she turns into a vampire and has the ability to take over the vampires.  (Vamps left town in 5 but let’s be honest,  they would be back for damn sure).  Declan keeps the human faction and they work together to keep this safe.

After she kills the alpha that she took the place of there is no real fear of killing when it is needed.  She wears it with pride and each time it happens she finds herself pulling farther away from the little girl that she once was.

Hope is a mixture of her father and mother.  She’s not innocent and doesn’t pretend to be at all. She is a murder,  she is a manipulator,  will do whatever it is to survive even if it means hurting the ones she loves.  The only people that come before herself are people that she considers family.

Hope struggles with mental health issues.  They aren’t pushed aside like in the show.  They are a constant and are apart of what makes her who she is. 

Still keeps in contact with the school drama from LIZZIE SALTZMAN.  Has no interest in hearing from Josie and Landon

Hope and Marcel are BROTHER AND SISTER as far as I’m concerned.  This depends on the Marcel if I’m writing with them but if I’m writing with someone that isn’t a Marcel?  They are siblings.  It is complicated on all fronts from the history that Marcel dealt with at the hands of her family and the fact they aren’t close in age.  THE MIKAELSON FAMILY WAS NOT KIND TO MARCEL IN CANON.  I’m going off canon material here and not the interoperation of Klaus and Marcel muses.  This is just so I am not god-molding a relationship.  I adapt for characters and what they see so if a Rebekah is in relations with Marcel? That is noted.  If Klaus is kinder / nicer to Marcel than the show that is noted.  If a Marcel wants to have them cut sibling contact completely that is noted as well. The only real time that things aren’t noted is if your muse is not directly related to Marcel / the mikaelson family and this headcanon would be default unless otherwise talked about.        EVERYTHING IN THIS HEADCANON IS SUBJECTED TO CHANGE WITH CERTAIN MUSES / THREADS / VERSES.

Marcel saved her when she was seven years old.  This was the first real memories she has of him.  He was this kind soul that told her “Close your eyes and sing.”  

She later uses that line with her own sired friend Henry  ( Read up on my version of what Henry was to Hope because to me he was a friend.  He wasn’t just some guy that bought he blood ).

Marcel stayed in contact with Hope as far as we could guess even after the Hollow broke her family apart.  

Hope finds out that they are related by adoption through reading her father’s journals as it never was outright stated that Marcel / Klaus / Hayley told her.

Hope doesn’t know the extend of what happened between her family and Marcel.  Her family write in journals and things but they all are one sided and as it has been shown Klaus will condemn people for the smallest of crimes.

Hope asked Marcel if it was OKAY for her to consider him her brother.  His answer was yes ( subject to change on a Marcel ).  She never asks deep questions about his relationship with their dad.  Whatever he shared or she knows is from journals and word of mouth

Hope is LOYAL to both sides of her family.  To her MARCEL IS A MIKAELSON or an honorary Mikaelson in her mind. This means if you fuck with him there is a chance that if she catches wind of it there is going to be an issue.  While Marcel has made it clear on the show he is glad that he isn’t a Mikaelson?  Hope sees him as family and thus shoves him in that category in her head but will NEVER tell him that to her he is a Mikaelson because it feels like a sore spot. 

Who Hope is most loyal to will always be HER MOTHER in my canon where Klaus still cut contact (subject to change with the Klaus).  So in a fight of MIKAELSON VS MARCEL?  She is going to side with her mother and stay the fuck out of it.  She doesn’t like being in the middle of the mess that started before her.  She can see both sides      ( Or she will try to see both sides but the Mikaelson family is YIKES at times and she knows it ).

Hope is also a CHILD in the eyes of everyone so if they put her in the middle of it ( like how divorced parents do often) it would be crappy all around.

Hope knows that she was treated better in life than Marcel was by this family.  Knows that she never had to feel left out 100% from ALWAYS AND FOREVER.  That this family will ALWAYS have her back even if she is in the wrong because that is how they are. 

Marcel is the only one that can understand the damage that her father can do to his children.  He is the only one that can understand a fraction of what it is like to be his child.  While Klaus never fully treated him like a son in canon or anything.  Anyways, Marcel might not understand everything he can sure try.

Hope is KLAUS MIKAELSON’S HEIR.  She is the one that everyone thinks about when they think of his child. She has the money of her father,  the legacy,  the power,  etc.  She is not on the same level as Marcel where she should be below him as the SECOND child?  She really isn’t in that family. Marcel has always been second rate and Hope knows it and hates it inside.  

While she hates how her brother was treated there is that thrilling pride of knowing damn well that she is her dad’s everything.  She never has to worry about Marcel outshining her and that is a big fear of her,  of being replaced in daddy’s eyes. Hope struggles with her feelings of haha I’m more everything than you.  She realizes that it is wrong and that makes her try that much harder to include Marcel in everything.

Hope is insecure about her relationship with him.  Constantly tip toes around lines and isn’t sure of how steady and strong it is. She often wonders if dad comes back will she be shoved to the side or will she turn into one of them and push her brother aside. This doesn’t make sense when you think about how Hope knows that she is Klaus Mikaelson’s everything but at the same time it does. She constantly worries of not being enough for people and that includes her father.

Marcel is OLDER than her by a hell of a lot meaning that their relationship is a mix of sibling and parent.  When Klaus left and stopped talking to her it is likely that she looked for a father in Marcel which isn’t fair to Marcel but it happened.  She called him weekly like her mother,  looked for praise and love.  He gave her what her father didn’t show when he cut contact when she was 10/11 years old.

Hope has great views on adoption.  She believes it is an amazing thing and does believe that ADOPTION IS FAMILY because while Legacies wants us to believe she struggles with that idea she doesn’t for me.  “A crew is not a family.” didn’t happen here.  She saw the relationship Landon and Rafael had and respected it because in a lot of ways it is the same as her relationship with Marcel.

The franchise as a whole is about SUPERNATURAL creatures.  Up until Legacies the only known creatures were vampires, werewolves, witches, siphoners (a special brand of witch), sirens, empaths,  anchors, and I think that is it.  Don’t worry if you don’t have all the details on what some of these creatures are or what they mean because I will be diving into that coming up next!  I won’t be going into relationships or anything because the show is a complicated mess of everyone pretty much has either kissed or fucked each other.  It is honestly a headache but most shows do this.   This is going to be a LONG TERM project of mine so not all of the information will be up and coming back to check it out is recommended.  Also,  if you have questions asking is allowed.  There are going to be tags to cover all of these little things so it is easier to find different areas.

MR. DORIAN WILLIAMS was originally the LIBERIAN OF THE SCHOOL= that tempts in different classes for teachers that need it. At the start of the series  ( 1x01 ) he was subbing for the CHEMISTRY OF MAGIC teacher,  who had burned all the hair off his chest in hellfire

ORIGINS OF THE SPECIES.  GRADE SIX.   Covers the ancient vengeful witch and  bloodline curse  Landon asked how were werewolves real and this is where that comes into play. It is reasonable to think that grade six is when witches and werewolves learn about their history in more detail along with likely adding in about the other factions besides the one they belong in so a witch would learn about werewolves and vampires. It is likely that when they were younger the story was easier and less full of darkness as classes like this would add in intensity as the student matures.

No one is kind to a liar. Hope was a MIKAELSON, something that EVERYONE feared. She never wore her Mikaelson necklace or had anything related to the family at school. NO ONE KNEW WHAT THE MIKAELSONS FAMILY LOOKED LIKE so Freya coming to town? Wasn’t ever an issue. Freya could drop by and no one would know who she was. THE TRIBRID BABY was a MYTH until it wasn’t because the child was sitting in SCIENCE class with them.  Suddenly, no one felt safe and no one wants to be friends with a MIKAELSON.  The twins were the ONLY ones to know she was a MIkaelson from the start but that means nothing when both HATE her.  Alaric acted as if it was ALL Hope’s fault she had no friends in season 1 but really, it was the LIFE that was set up for her. She comes out as THE MYTHICAL TRIBRID FREAKSHOW and suddenly, no one wants to be her lab partner. No one wants to risk being the next victim of the Mikaelson family. Those that have the balls to talk to her wouldn’t be trusted.  Hope doesn’t believe anyone to actually want to be her friend just because she’s a good person. She sees anyone that dares to talk to her as someone that wants something from her. Hope BEFRIENDS people from MYSTIC FALLS HIGH SCHOOL instead, hung out with them and does stupid shit with them like smoking weed and seeing who can jump higher, talk about things that parents shouldn’t know. She has FRIENDS just none at the SCHOOL of people that FEAR her.

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐑:   This is NOT what the show had put down as their relationship but they did call him her boyfriend.  He did help kill Hayley indirectly and it is my decision to fix a writer’s mistake because it is my belief that someone trained to LIE about who she is wouldn’t just trust him with a big secret so soon after meeting him,  after him starting to talk to her.   This is coming from a show that had Caroline in a relationship with a man that was 25 years old when she was still in high school,  that assault is to be swept under the rug.  I UNDERSTAND that not everyone likes this version but I can’t see how she fell so fast even at being fifteen years old and full of hormones that make you do stupid things.   Hope is a survivor of manipulation,  emotional abuse,  deceiving into a physical relationship with someone that she didn’t know the full truth about who he was.  This show RUSHED the final season of The Originals and instead of bringing back someone from earlier seasons that would have a reason to destroy the game (there are a lot of them) they decide to bring in a new group that wanted to off HYBRIDS and TRIBRIDS alike.  I’m fixing the mistake of how I see fit.  Beyond nervous about this headcanon being written out.

Roman took everything from her,  he was that relationship where you go all in thinking the guy is the one to care only to find yourself crying at night.  Roman played her well, was her boyfriend for six whole months and in those months she gave him whatever he wanted.  The sweet and innocent girl gave him her heart and soul.   He was her first everything in a relationship and when it was all said and done,  she didn’t even have her mother to hold her and promise that relationships aren’t meant to be like this.  ❝𝐌𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐕𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.❞  She jokes about him because how do you tell someone that you thought he was the one because he made you feel like a princess?  That he got inside her head and made her feel like she were special only to have him turn on her?  She kissed him, slept with him, promised him forever long before she said the words    ❝𝐈'𝐌 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐋𝐒𝐎𝐍.❞  He knew who she was before she told him thanks to Ric Saltzman’s file on her and where she lived. 

Hope was not raised to just let her guard down for a guy she has known for less than a month.   ❝𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋. 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋.❞  She was drilled to learn that was the name she answers to, no one is to know you are the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson. Hope wouldn’t go tell some vampire that broke into her dorm room and made her all fuzzy and warm that she was a Mikaelson unless she had thought to have known him.  five months and two weeks into a relationship is when it comes out and it is by her coming to New Orleans,  showing up on her balcony in the middle of the night and by then her proved to be trustworthy and when he hands her a Christmas gift early long before he was done,  it was as if he was worthy of her secret.

𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙇𝙈𝙊𝙎𝙏 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙠.   I say almost never because she can make herself sick with magic or when she is older and decides to start a family she does feel sick as hell there but it’s all different.   Hope doesn’t get traditional sick like a small cold, the sniffles during allergy season.  She doesn’t give people colds or any bugs either so when Lizzie accused her of giving her 𝘱𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢 when they were working together for witch week it was funny (Also slightly insulting).   Her sickness is always MAGIC based on overuse of magic,  pushing herself to the brink of losing it,   emotional connections so strong that she can make herself sick.       𝘚𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸:    Bloody nose,   bloody eyes,    blood from ears,   throwing up blood   * All these are magic related and have been seen with witches after they do a powerful spell so not really an “illness” but going to put that down here anyway*,    migraines,    loss touch of magic   ( Out of control abilities and or unable to do basic spells * RARELY happens ),     intense pain.

The hollow being inside of her proved she can take pain medication but it has to be HERBAL and MAGIC based and she has it in her dorm room some of the leftover pills that would kill a human or a witch if ingested because it is not made for them alone.

Hope’s an emotional-based person and her “sickness” is magical or emotional based.

Butterfly on her ankle that she did herself at sixteen in black ink that later she goes in and fills with purple / pink / blue ink

Nose pierced once and either uses magic to make sure the hole doesn’t close up or she has a stud in it.

Belly button down at eighteen years old. Wanted it for a while but waited until eighteen and did that one as a late birthday gift to herself.

Ears pierced several times. Actually has three piercings on her lobe, not just one.

PUNISHMENT. SCORING. POINT SYSTEM HEADCANON.

EVERY DAY she wakes up with TEN points. EVERY night the points she has or doesn’t have are put into a journal written down and math is done.

Total for a week, Hope could have up to 70 points.

Total for a month, Hope could have  280

Total for a year, Hope could have  3,360

If for a month Hope sees that she has 270 points OR more, there is a reward of getting something she wants, spending the day EXACTLY how she wants, major self-care things are done and she is just able to BE HAPPY for a whole day. Now, most of the time Hope is in the NEGATIVES by the end of the day because she judges herself so harshly that everything she does wrong (Be it a lie, breaking something, etc) she knocks herself down for. She started this around the time she started at the Salvatore school.  She mentioned to Marcel in season five that she was taking a point away from herself for Henry.

Hope never wanted to hurt anyone, never wanted to be like her father or even her mother (who did get 12 ? Hybrids killed in the vampire diaries).  Hope never wanted to be what everyone swore she was going to be. HOPE MIKAELSON WILL BE OUR DOWNFALL… She just wanted to be Hope, the girl that healed fireflies and butterflies, that helped others.

After the Hollow invaded her body, it seemed like the best thing to do is to start punishing herself for every little wrong, for keeping score since EVERYONE ELSE WAS DOING IT.

KIDNAPPING HER MOTHER.       That didn’t happen. Hope did NOT kidnap her mother. She did not put her mama in a COFFIN and call daddy to come back because her mother is missing KNOWING full well WHERE her mother is. No, her BOYFRIEND of SIX MONTHS did that.

CHANGING HENRY INTO A HYBRID.       Still happened but it wasn’t FOR PAYMENT. Hope HATES bullies, she even said that in the show. She changed her FRIEND because he was being bullied. It wasn’t the smartest idea, changing him to a rare species but she wanted to HELP him because Henry was her ONLY friend at the time. The boy that would play with her in the bayou and not let her win because she was the Alpha’s daughter, no he lost because she was GOOD at hiding and seek. Henry’s death still happened but it wasn’t because he was in THE GARDEN being PUNISHED for helping Hope kidnap her mother. No, he was put into the wall for murdering Poppy in his bloodlust, and a bunch of vampires so pissed off and hating the species backed Marcel into a corner where he had to punish a teenager even for a little while. Henry was TAKEN from the Garden and still strung up, murdered by vampires, and Hope still got to see her ONLY friend DEAD and HUNG up.

HAYLEY’S DEATH.       Was still to protect her daughter from a bunch of people that HATED her tribrid status. She still bound herself to give them what they wanted (even though I hate this. I am trying not to change things that would directly be in line with other characters like Hayley even though most Hayley blogs ignore this too).   She got to see the BOY she trusted become her ENEMY in a blink of an eye. Roman could have gone up against his mother, said no because he “loved” the halfbreed monster that they both hated.  He didn’t love her, there was not a HINT of loving her either.  

THE HOLLOW.         Hope still takes the Hollow into her body knowing it might kill her but she is a fifteen-year-old girl that had LOST her BEST FRIEND, the first eyes she looked into of her mother, and her own ability to trust was compromised thanks to Roman.. She still asked Freya for help (Although she would have done it herself).  She still KILLED a room full of N*zi vampires that believed in a PURE species. She still had HELP from her dad to release that ANGER that the hollow fed on.

THE OLD MAN’S DEATH.     Still happened the way it did in the show. Hope killed him on accident when killing those vampires.  She didn’t mean to kill him, he was human and sweet and she met him a few times in passing around town but nothing that stuck with her until after she saw him dead.

ROMAN’S TORTURE.      Happened but Hope was not gentle, she actually went for it.

HOLLOW DESTROYS.      Still happens. Klaus still outsmarts his own kid and takes the hollow into himself. Whether Elijah and he both die depends on who I am rping with but generally, both of them are dead by the end like in the show.

SELF DESTRUCTION.      Risky behaviors,  willingly to throw her life away for others. Alaric Saltzman doesn’t help by letting her play partner in monster crime. She smokes, she gets high and doesn’t care about others anymore. She doesn’t seem to actually care about her life at all in the show. She fights monsters, kicks ass, never once let others in until Landon.

PTSD + DEPRESSION.   Hope has mental health issues that aren’t shown well on the show. They will be shown more here just like it is shown on my Lizzie blog. It is APART of who she is but it isn’t THE ONLY part of her.

RELATIONSHIP WITH ROMAN.    This relationship lasted SIX MONTHS in total. So from JUNE of her turning FIFTEEN to DECEMBER of her being FIFTEEN. Roman was her first everything. First boyfriend, kiss, the first time.  He took her sense of SAFETY away from her when he tricked her. He was the FIRST person to say I LOVE YOU that wasn’t FAMILY.

The original SHOW was DARKER, therefore, I’m following suit with things since I can’t see writing about VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, WITCHES along with: MURDER, ABUSE, TORTURE, BLOOD without it being more like the ORIGINAL show. Default, Hope is EIGHTEEN years old.  She should be EIGHTEEN years old ANYWAY in the show because she was seventeen in season one anyway.

Hope is one of the strongest creature in the world.(That we know of) She is stronger than Freya is even. The only people that will surpass her abilities are her own children. If Hope doesn’t have kids then she will forever be the only tribrid.  (  If Hope has children with a supernatural creature that isn’t a witch or a wolf.  she would still be the only tribrid ).

Hope has been known to have dreams that often tell her about things that are about to come. She never could decode them when she was younger and even now it isn’t something she can easily guess. As a child, she once dreamed of her home burning down and a few weeks later a wildfire happened.   ( In season four,  Hope was shown to have a gift in making art about what was going to happen.  Hope drew things of the hollow before it was mentioned on screen )

When Hope’s magic is uncontrolled, she breaks things and can burn a whole building to the ground in a fit of rage. Her magic is connected to her emotions so in times of stress or fear things shake, burn, blood will come from her nose.   (  This was SHOWN in season five when she yelled at Freya to leave her alone and a fire started around her  )

Hope is unable to compel an original vampire BUT a low-level vampire that is not a part of the original vampire is game on. She is the original tribrid after all.

Hope believes in free will and tends to give a choice to her sires on everything. Will never take away their right to do whatever they want. Henry was a perfect example of Hope’s want to give him choices. Hope will use her sire bond though to help a newly turned hybrid whenever she can. ❝Feel better.❞ Hope had ordered Henry and he had suddenly felt better.      Her belief in free will changes depending on what is going on.

While sire bonds are rare in vampires, they are not rare in hybrids because every hybrid Klaus sired was loyal to him and put his interest above their own.  

Hayley Marshall-Kenner is the ONLY unsired hybrid. Hope’s blood was in Hayley’s system when she died.

All hybrids that are sired to Hope have to feed on her to complete the transition. This was shown in the show.

When she becomes a full tribrid, Hope need a blood bag a day. She will be able to survive on human food just fine even without blood purely because she is also a witch and a werewolf. Wolfsbane (Aconitum) and  Vervain (Verbena Officinalis)  aren’t really a weakness for her like normal vampires / werewolves

Here’s the catch for both Vervain and Wolfsbane, Hope can use it for magical spells, has gotten used to it burning like Katherine had in the show so that Hope is able to do blood magic with ease since she heals fast.

Werewolves that bite vampires produce a chemical that is toxic and will slowly kill them within a day or two UNLESS they have the blood of the Original Hybrid or the Original Tribrid.    (  Seen on the show MANY times  )

Hope has vials of her blood locked away in New Orleans and Alaric has some in his office. Going to get Hope’s blood to save a friend is a noble cause but you better be ready to bleed for the life that is dying because she is done playing nice while everyone uses and abuses her.

Drinking her blood from a siphoner’s point of view is high off the magic that one could spend the rest of their life chasing. Hope has so much magic rushing around in her system that she is pretty much a drug.    

Her blood is the only thing that can stop Malivore when she is a full tribrid. Her blood was the only thing that stopped Josie from dying at the end of season 1 from a bullet that was made from Malivore.

Hayley died in late January or early February.  Klaus died on or right after Tuesday, February 9.  Hope was FIFTEEN when her parents died and it was the Mardi Gras parade in or close to the final episode of The Originals.  Now,  take that and add 2012+15= 2027 which gives me the year that Klaus and Hayley died.   I got the date of Feb 9th because looking up when Mardi Gras would be in 2027.

The year is  2029/2030 when Hope is seventeen and turns eighteen in may of 2030.  Her twenty-first birthday is the year of  2033
