“Your standards are beautiful are skewed way off.” The worst part was that Twice legitimately thought they were beautiful. They were neon things with stick legs. Of course, Dabi probably thought crows were pretty birds, so they were real different people. “...” His look of bored consternation becomes a small grimace. “Shut up. Shut up about the flamingos and their weird ankle-knees. Holy fuck.”

Anyone in their right mind would be terrified of him, but she was... different. An odd one. It pissed him off, to be honest. It wasn’t just his anger at being left, either; that care was foreign to him, chafed against him so horribly. He grew used to being let down. But this? This stung. To have almost given in to being allowed to care and be cared for, and then to have it just... end. To have care he found foreign now after being self-sufficient and surviving for so long... He had been a fool, and he hated himself for it.

But- it would be fine. He would walk away like he was meant to, and not risk having any sort of positive feelings towards her. She was a siren, trying to lure him back into her enchantment. This time, he would walk away. Free.

But- he had an itch to visit the hurt she had inflicted on him on her and give her a reminder to look at. A handprint across her arm, emblazoned forever on her, a reminder of casual cruelty. His fingers twitched, subtle, as he fought the urge down- but not with much effort or urgency.

His eyes narrowed at her words, but he breaks into a brief smile. No, was that a smile? It didn’t exactly reach his eyes... Dabi relaxed, his hands facing her. a heat haze was above them- hard to see in the quiet dark.

“Then come here.”

Oh no… while happy to see him, worry is clear on her features. Distress from hearing what he thought about the situation, thought what she did was intentional. When in truth it was quite the opposite, getting called home for a month to handle various forms of business. 

“Dabi I wasn’t trying to trick you. I never wanted to hurt you, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to be gone for so long believe me please I tried to get back sooner.”

Whether he realized it or not, he held a great amount of power over her. And maybe in this moment it was for the best he didn’t realize… If only she wasn’t making it slightly obvious by how desperate she was to amend the negative feelings. 

“I was worried if I reached out to you too often someone would get suspicious about who I was speaking to and come looking for your. But that doesn’t mean I forgot about you or didn’t miss you. Dabi I care about you so much. I really do love you—“ She comes to a complete stop, mouth wide open as she comes to realize her words. Well fuck. Maybe she could quickly change directions. “There were things I had to deal with but while I was home I was able to do some research into things that might help you and your mission.”

My dog may have bloat which has 30% fatality rate Even with treatment. I know it seems low but it’s a lot too me and she can’t walk or stand anymore and I’m scared. All the signs point to it Being bloat. Please. Just cross your fingers that Daisy will be okay. She’s only 10. She‘s supposed to still have 6 good years with us.
