☆ﾟ*·ﾟJORDAN'S HEAD SPUN to the potted ficus, his eyes widening at the thought of spiking his drink, or simply getting an entire cup of bourbon to make it through the night. The problem was that he knew that with his position of power, he had to make sure he regained at least some composure. But Jordan was good at that. He enjoyed his drink and enjoyed watching others and judging them. "You just might be my favorite person at this event right now," he explained, eyeing the potted ficus, and allowing his head to spin toward the other people in the room. It was important to find the best moment to spike his own drink. His eyes moved up and down, taking all of her in. "Contrary to popular belief, I am rather well behaved."

adda had been in this hell-hole of a country for one purpose and one purpose only - to get herself an eligible , desirable match. a man who wished to drink himself to a stupor before the ball had even properly started , had certainly not seemed like such a gentleman , but ... who was she to judge , drink already heavily spiked with bourbon. smirking in return to another fellow noble ( that aura of grandeur had surely belonged to a crown prince or a king. or maybe a pirate. he could be anyone , really - and it wasn't like men ever needed a strong backing to their ... attitude ).

" I suspect our hosts would wish to have us on our best behaviour for the evening , but there is a stash of bourbon hidden behid the potted ficus in the corner. don't ask me how it got there. " adda chuckled.

☆ﾟ*·ﾟSCRUNCHING UP HIS nose in disgust, Jordan was not even remotely pleased by the other's answer. How was he supposed to get through this entire event without stronger alcohol? Wine wasn't going to get him drunk enough. Downing his drink, he turned to the other, looking him up and down, taking every bit of him in. "That's a shame. How else am I supposed to deal with this event?" Jordan asked, grumbling. "Who are you even?" he asked, watching him for a reaction.

It should be simple enough, just get through the night and if anything interesting happened then take note of it. He just wasn't all that sure anything interesting would happen. Perhaps that was good really, though it just made him worry more about the things back home he could be doing right now, instead of standing around. Hearing the question, he took a moment to respond, having been caught out by it. "I am afraid not, I am not sure they have anything stronger" not tonight anyway.

☆ﾟ*·ﾟA PARTY SOUNDED like an absolutely wonderful way to celebrate all of the wonderful royals and staff in the building. Hanna wanted meet as many people as she could. It was so incredibly exciting. But she had to stay calm. Her mother had told her that. It was important to stay calm, and she was going to try her damndest. She didn't want to get in trouble.

In a pretty dress, Hanna was beaming from ear to ear. She'd had her tea and vitamins before the dance, promising that they'd be taken and she'd wait a half an hour before she went down to enjoy everything. It was all absolutely beautiful.

Hearing someone's voice, she grinned, turning to face them. "Oh, I hadn't thought of it like that. I'm just trying to enjoy as much of it as possible without causing any problems. I tend to get a little overexcited, and I'm really not supposed to do that," Hanna explained, before giggling. "What are you supposed to do at events like this?"

anne was tired. tired of keeping up appearances. tired of pretending everything was good when, for the past year, it clearly hadn’t been.

the start of the season had left the palace feeling suffocating, but at the same time filled with hope and opportunities. hope that, if she could secure a husband and perhaps the influence that came with it, she might finally be fine again.

☆ﾟ*·ﾟBALLS WERE NOT Jordan's favorite event, in fact, they felt a little stuffy. The only good thing about them were the women fawning all over him. At least he got attention and for the time being, he'd take it. A ball allowed him to get to know the other royals, find women that spilled secrets and perhaps get just the littlest bit drunk. With a drink in his hand, and an outfit that was sure to stun. A smirk rested across his face as he looked the person up and down, taking everything in about them. "This punch is a little weak. from a very young age, jordan adored the idea of power. he constantly tried to show his siblings that he was the best because he was the oldest. this didn't always work out in his favor, but his mother believed him, because to her, he was perfect. but when she passed, and everything changed, jordan wasn't ready. his father changed. he got meaner, cruler, and tried to force jordan to be something that he wasn't. but the rest of the empire didn't see that. they didn't see any of it. jordan hated what his father was doing to ethiopia, so he wanted to get rid of him. with his best friend, the two of them hatched a grand and elaborate plan and took out the king. because jordan was the eldest, he then became king and everything could be his. he promoted his best friend to be advisor and fired the current one, banishing him from the empire, worried that he would try and take over. some believe what jordan is doing for the empire is good and others not.
