In a rush of air Thad appears in front of Respawn and blocks his path, “I’m not a part of their group, but you sure as hell don’t get to walk around like you own this city. I suggest you tell me what you’re doing, or else I’m going to get in your way.” The kid had already pissed him off and now this was Thad’s business too.

“ you’re not getting any younger regardless. ” he said, with a face, as he tried his best to slice the garlic she gave him. cooking was something he didn’t like doing since his food always turned out like slop. every now and then, he sniffed his hand, recoiling at how strong the cloves were. but if rose needed them, he guessed it would add something to her dish. he peaked over to the pot. “ i’m serious about damian. he’s a rich, entitled brat who gave everything up to be a hero. who does that? he had EVERYTHING, rose. EVERYTHING. ”

rose  can’t  help  but  huff  a  laugh.  funnily  enough  ,  at  that  moment  ,  theron  had  never  looked  more  like  damian  wayne.  especially  that  scowl.  ‘  sure  ,  sure  ,  shortstack  ,  ខ្ញុំ​យល់  ,  you’re  nothing  like  him.  ’  her  tone  makes  it  clear  that  she  doesn’t  mean  the  words  ,  but  her  smile  is  fairly  fond.  ‘  now  ,  can  we  get  on  with  it  ?  seriously  ,  i’m  not  getting  any  younger  here  …  ’

        she isn’t a fan of sharing   —   contracts, clientele, sometimes even physical space, so the sight of him perched up with his rifle where she and money - maker should be right now is just a touch irritating. not a major setback, but annoying. like a cryptid, she allows him only a glimpse of her before disappearing.

        she’s fast, faster than any person has a right to be. when she re - appears, it is silently behind him. her feet make no noise across the roof top as she approaches.

       talk about fast! alarmed by her disappearance and her speed, he did a double take before glancing his shoulder. apparently, the nun had a few tricks up her sleeve. he rolled his eyes under his mask and began to pack up. so much for an assassination that night.
