It wasn't his first time visiting America, he did a lot traveling these past five years. From Madrid, Valencía, Basque Country before he extended to Paris. Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome and almost every city in Europe. Though he had yet stepping to North, or England. Especially England. Antonio didn't like that place.
So he also been to Mexico, Venezuela, even Los Angeles. Though this was his first time in San Fransisco. The Golden Gate, oh-god! It was fantastic. He loved it when crossed the bridge. Beautiful sunset, pedestrians - moms and childrens, teenager, business man and woman, even elders - were present and it make Antonio a bit anxious. He couldn't take their stares, nor he could look back at them. He had his glasses, but it didn't help. Nervous, uneasy and scared, he went through that bridge with those feelings. Mostly looked down into his own feet or to the horizon. Like he thought, beautiful.
The Spaniard never felt so relieved when he found the place he was looking for a day. Everything was blur as he did this and that, he didn't remember much at that time. Confused and exhausted. He desperately need to take a nap or good sleep. If it allowed, of course. Strolling around this new place, well, everything was new for him. He didn't even know where was his room. Thankfully, his luggage was nowhere to be seen as a kind person - a male, or female? Damn, did he actually suffered short-term memory loss? - had took it from him.
Antonio sighed, looking around and he couldn't find people who worked here, or a single person at all. It make him wondered, did he arrived at bad time? Or all of these were trap and Antonio would become hostage for anything that he didn't even know. And, and there will be handsome man came to rescue him and they will ended up fell in love to each other, and... and it should be the ending of romantic novel he currently reading - in his free time - hopefully. Because the main character already went through a lot problems, too much crying and losing important persons.
....
He got carried away. Again. Of course, by his own thoughts. Until this very moment, Antonio didn't know why this place was empty as hell. Slowly, he took the glasses off - closing his eyes before doing so - just to massage them and then he put it - the glasses - again. Jesus, he was tired. So tired that he could throw his body away and sleep on the floor. Sounded like a good plan.
But no. He wouldn't do that.
The exploration didn't stop as he moved to the left, just to discover another long corridor. Rolled the sleeves up, he noticed a garden right in front of him. Inside a building, really? That was amazing! A smile came across his face, dull color of his eyes replaced with sparkling jade-green, even his heart beat went fast, far from normal. All of that was caused by a mere excitement. He loved trees, plants and... and he knew, when there was a garden - or green house, not he really cared anyway - then there will be tomato.
Tomatoes.
Who will had a garden without tomato vines on it? No, not him. And Antonio believed, this place had those red, well-rounded, ripe tomato. Was he drooling upon thinking about his most favorite of everything else in this world? Yes, he was.
Without any hesitation, nor he spent a moment for second thought - no he would never did that for tomato - Antonio leaped into his new-found paradise, exactly throwing his body. Sadly, reality always came as his enemy. The Spaniard was thrown back to the ground after his whole face - and some part of his body - hit the perfect, very very crystal clear, hard glass in front of him. Oh, god! Antonio and his dreamy tomatoes garden was separated by a glass-wall. Damn cruel world!
"Ow! Hurt―"
Antonio placed a hand on his forehead, down all over his face to check if there any bump or bloods. It was hurt. His own glasses dropped as well, he reached for it, not a single damage on it. Thank god.
When he was sure that he didn't find any wound - still it pretty much hurt - not enough time to check the other part, so he gathered himself and stand up. No way he would give up. Not for tomatoes! Now he had to search the entrance and he will definitely find it!
Once again he looked around, to his left he found nothing, an empty corridor. Antonio shook his head. Then he turned into the right. The scenery was not different, still a long corridor but there was something. He blinked furiously, breathing in and out, in and out. There, stood a person, their back was facing Antonio and he didn't dare to take any assumption of their gender. That person was quite far away from him.
Yes. Yes! For the second time, excitement came and filled his sense - mind. Antonio rushed to the right side, approached the stranger. He didn't tapped their shoulder, simply walked and stopped before their back.
"Hola, can you help me?" Thick Spanish accent coated his voice, hopefully this person will help him. To find the lovely tomatoes which already waiting too long for Antonio.
