“i wouldn’t drink that if i was you,” meredith warned looking up from her phone for a brief moment. she’d been sitting outside the parlour for an hour now, trying to soak in the sun, having spent the majority of the morning inside a classroom. said drink was being handed out by some high school freshmen, who’d apparently been put in charge of preparing samples for the shop. “pretty sure that kids allergic to soap, i don’t think those,” she said pointing to the drink “would pass the hygiene test.”

Bonnie knew she probably shouldn’t be doing this. It was a risky task at hand but when she wanted something, she usually made it happen for herself. So this is why she sat in a booth at the Mystic Grill, devouring a plate of cheese fries that was layered with bacon and green chives. Her cravings were bad and she knew she might have heartburn but she had a smile on her face as she stabbed a fork into a cheesy french fry. Some would have thought she was crazy as she was joyfully eating. She didn’t take in her surroundings until she heard someone clear their throat. “Oh, my bad,” She said as she stopped eating for a moment and wiped her mouth.

meredith shrugged, “don’t worry about it.” she bent down to pick up the paper that appeared to have fallen. “i just wanted to let you know you dropped this,” she said placing it down on the table. she had originally come into the mystic grill to get a take out but couldn’t decide what to get, she’d had everything on the menu at least hundred times. growing up in a small town with little to no restaurant choice was getting boring. her mother had been right, she should have just lived on campus instead of commuting back and forth but it was important for her keep an eye on the town.

  “Forgive me for staring but— you look rather dazed and well, even for me, I’d be embarrassed.” Kol smirked, eyes narrowing slightly at the person in front of him. He noticed they were making a scene, and well, he was not one to let it go unnoticed. “Try and be discrete, love, and things will run smoothly.” He warned, noticing that, well, making themselves look so obvious would definitely make things harder for all supernatural beings. Upon his return, he wanted things to be as smooth sailing as possible, and if he had to remove certain difficulties, he would not be phased in doing so.. 

meredith scoffed narrowing her eyes, “excuse me?” she said. if anyone was making a scene it was the jerk she had been dealing with. she whipped her head around to face the voice of the comment. “i don’t remember you being part of this conversation ,” she quipped smoothly, taking the other in. the man looked familiar, and she instantly had her guard up. this place was swarming with the supernatural unwanted. “I think you should be more concerned with yourself than others.”

ever since josie had begun what she had begun, she was starting to feel a little more antsy. collecting the herbs she needed, the gemini siphoner stuffed them into her bag before turning around and accidentally bumping into someone, “i’m so sorry! i wasn’t watching where i was going,” her words beginning to ramble before offering a half smile, “are you okay?”

meredith was taken aback, simply because she hadn’t seen the girl, too preoccupied with reading the text from her brother. “don’t worry about it,” she reassured, whipping the dusk from her jeans as she picked up her bag which had fallen to the pavement on impact. “oh me? i’m fine. they should really start a new slogan, don’t text and walk.” she joked. “are you okay?”

“excuse me.” lizzie tried not to roll her eyes. she was sitting on a park bench with her head buried inside of a magazine when a shadow moved over her. “you’re blocking my sun, and as you can probably tell my skin is lacking in a dose of vitamin d, so if you’d please move. thanks.” she ordered with a sigh, all while not looking up from the pages she was still concentrating on reading at the same time.

“well when you put it that way,” meredith replied rolling her eyes at the blond’s attitude. she’d be the first to say that stereotypes were bullshit but this girl appeared to be giving it a run for its money. she ignored her complaints continuing to stand there unfazed. “with an attitude like that i can’t imagine you have many friends.”

backstory. meredith is a human living in mystic falls - she has lived in the town her entire life and is well acquitted with the strange happenings in her town. Meredith comes from a long line of famous vampire hunters. She, herself is one in fact; however over the years she as acquired a distain for more than just vampires. 

calm and collected meredith is said to be a grounded character albeit cynical. Meredith is very loyal to her friends and family while still being independent. She doesn't try to be someone else she remains true to herself in all ways. 

She has a very wry personality, often making keen observations or (somewhat humorous) comments in a dry tone. She is normally very cool and unflappable, calm under pressure, and competent. She does things with minimal fuss, displaying grace, skill, and dignity.

currently meredith works as a teaching assistant in at mystic falls high school while completing her final year of college. she also picked the position because she thought it gave her and inside to what was really happening around town.
