              She had heard that he was over in the corner of a local bar, literally nursing off a bottle of Jack. Maybe she shouldn’t have been there, working for the same company as an old flame was asking for trouble. She always felt some way about him, protective, she protected those she loved. And the fact that she felt that way about him drove her insane. She didn’t even bother to argue, lips pursed as she took a seat across from him to watch him. Sucking on her own tongue when he mentioned a lap dance. Had this been any other person in the world she’d have reached over the table and slapped them but with Jon she wouldn’t. She couldn’t and she almost hated herself for it.
