Would someone be allowed to make a new submission to join if their first was rejected? And if you've had characters/ideas change since your submission, would you recommend making a new submission?

you are allowed to, but as the person who manages all applications i'm going to be honest: i don't really tend to accept them. we've gotten to a point where we have so many players that i have to be EXTREMELY selective in who i accept! there's a LOT of people for our little project!! our goal is to have players that want to be a part of the Pantheon, not people who are just here to play minecraft or want to be part of any roleplay-based SMP. this project is four years old now, five in December, we've sunk so much time and care and love into crafting the world! we want people that are invested in being a part of that, contributing to it!! we really, really appreciate everyone that applies. it's nice to know there's so many people out there in the minecraft roleplay scene. but this server is entirely centered on the lore and worldbuilding, and we've got applications for people to ADD to that. to create something WITHIN that space. my advice if you are super invested in the Pantheon itself, and i somehow didn't realize that in your first application: wait awhile! we're not technically open yet, applications were open as more of a preorder situation. i won't be the first to admit it but our resources for reading up on lore are INSANELY lacking, something we're currently working on! when it's finished we'll be publicly posting a WorldAnvil for you to know more about the lore, so you can see if you can work within it/show us that you'll engage with it sorry, i talk a lot!! you can send a new application or i BELIEVE you should be able to edit your old ones- please just make it clear where the edit begins! also applications are currently closed because i burnt myself the fuck out and am technically on break from the pantheon. whoops, sorry, thank you for your patience...... - Galaxy

Would it be okay for an applicant to come in with a completed Origin they made themself (in the form of a datapack, meaning server-side only, doesn't need to be distributed to clients)? Potentially with a bit of vetting to ensure that it's functional, relatively balanced, & doesn't do anything performance-intensive. Or is this not a thing that people can do? I'm someone who looooves making my own custom origins which is why I ask.

Well... Theoretically? We're going to be very critical of any origins suggested, given the attention that has gone into balancing the current origins and ensuring that things run as smoothly as possible. But... If it seems like something that would be a good fit for the server, it's absolutely an option!!!

I know that there is a massive backlog at the moment, but I was wondering if applicants would be informed when their application was reviewed, regardless of if they were accepted or not.

Yes, you'll be reached out to to be informed directly of whether you're accepted or denied! Please be patient, it's highly unlikely Galaxy will have time to do applications for the next couple of weeks!

how much detail should we include for the character idea entry on the form?

There's no minimum or maximum (... Other than perhaps a built in google forms maximum? Though we're not sure if that exists.), but we love to hear as much as possible! It not only tells us how passionate you may be about the idea, but gives us a better idea as to how it may fit into the worldbuilding, and what we can reach out to you about, whether that be to slightly adjust some things to work, or for a god's interest in involvement with the idea! - Mod Chance

Hiii! I'm thinking of making my character a fan of cooking, so I was wondering if you're adding any food related mods? Actually, what major mods will be in the modpack, anyway? I saw some mods being mentioned in old posts but idk if that's relevant anymore.

Glad to hear you’re interested! At the moment, the best place to learn more about the lore is on the Discord itself, which you’ll gain access to after being accepted to the server.

We do have a worldanvil page as well, but for the time being, we’ve been keeping the link to it also confined to the discord as we work to tidy it up and make it more cohesive and navigable.

applications update

hey guys!!! tis i, the singular moderator who handles applications. y'all deserve to stay in the loop, so here it is!!

first of all: i am burned the fuck out. the last batch of applications was 40+, more than any amount of applications we have received in a month, much less a few days. we have another batch sitting in limbo right now, and unfortunately that's where they're going to be staying for the time being. i need time to recharge a bit, and maybe do less applications at a time when i start processing them again!

secondly, i'd like to be very clear on something! this situation is entirely my fault. we have an entire team of gods who are longtime dear friends of mine, and continue to offer help on processing applications. i continue to politely decline because i have a system of going about it. i'm the only moderator who processes applications by choice.

TDLR: if you sent in an application recently you're waiting an indefinite amount of time, Sorry,,,,

We will distribute the modpack in a way you *could* upload it to Curseforge, but we don't have an official Curseforge uploaded pack anymore, and highly recommend using Modrinth or another launcher!

how large is the modpack (srry if this has already been answered)

The modpack currently is still in flux, but the Work in Progress pack currently has about 210 mods! Quite a lot of those are purely optimization, though, so it's not as straining on a computer as you'd think it to be just by the number.

We don't know yet! Ideally it should be open before the first half of the year ends, but at *latest* it should be sometime in the whole of this year.

We've gotten a few applications with this involved in the character idea, so just for clarification, the Creaking and the Pale Garden will not be on our server, and are not available for character involvement! We are a Fabric 1.20.1 server, and there are no Fabric backport mods for the Pale Garden!

No it is not, sorry! The Pantheon is a Java-only fabric server, with no possible way to enable cross play for other devices.

found out nvidium is clientsided, you can just use it without the server using it! just add it in yourself! - Galaxy

please tell me there isn't sodium without nvidium my laptop can't handle it and I don't want to have to extract sodium from modpacks whenever I use them

unfortunately, we don't have nvidium, but the pack is being slightly tweaked as we go thru working on behind-the-scenes stuff. i can always bring it up to the other mods! - Galaxy
