Brian and Allison Weston always believed in making their home the most loving environment for their kids and their friends. Brian being a lawyer and Allison being a doctor meant their schedules were crazy, but, even when one was home they opened their doors (and large home) to all their kids friends. But Peter, was a bit of a loner, mostly hanging around his older sibling’s friends. He preferred animals to people which was why he practically lived at the zoo. When his parents weren’t taking him there, his nanny was. It was the place he felt most alive, even in New York City. Everything in nature was always a wonder to him which was why he was constantly asking to go to the zoo, to the park or even to the library to read about anything and everything in nature. When he was old enough, Peter starting traveling ad much as possible. Wanting to experience all the world had to offer. While continuing online school, he learned so many new languages and cultures. Getting to experience the world with his feet on the ground not just with head in the books was a major bonus. For Peter, the one thing that never changed in all the places he traveled to was his love of animals. Which was why, when it came to college he decided become a veterinarian, so he could treat man’s best friend. When his parents brought the Weston clan aboard the Sylvester of the Seas, Peter was offered one of the few veterinary roles on board. Though he’d rather be land bound to help all their other animals than just house pets, it’s still better than nothing. So he’s doing his best to put himself out there more than he’s used to because it’s not like the people on the boat are going anywhere.

child abuse and homophobia tw Jac despised her father. A product of his first relationship in college, she’d always felt like an inconvenience, like she was somehow ruining his life just by existing. She never knew her mom, according to Russell she was a drug addict and would’ve made a terrible parent, but it was okay because he’d decided, out of the goodness of his heart, to not give her up, but to raise himself instead. And by that, he meant pawning her off to his own parent’s or other relatives to look after her while he lived his life as if she didn’t exist. When Russell met Judy as he made his first million, Jac was seven. She never really had an issue with her stepmother, although she never really believed that Judy was with Russell for any reason but his money, but that wasn’t really her problem. He seemed happy enough with his new wife, and at least it meant that Jac wasn’t alone in their ridiculously large house. Judy never attempted to be her mother, but she didn’t treat Jac the same way that Russell did, with a lot of apathy and disdain for her interests in art and punk rock. She wouldn’t encourage it either, and once she was pregnant with hers and Russell’s first child, Jac went back to being unnoticed and in the background, leaving her wondering what it was she did wrong. Of course, Jac eventually realised that she hadn’t done anything wrong, she just didn’t fit their perfect family image. She stuck out like a sore thumb, and when Russell started excluding her from the family photo ops at church and volunteering trips, Jac didn’t actually mind. She could just do her own thing, like dye streaks of blue in her hair, stay out long past curfew with her friends, and smoke cigarettes out of her bedroom window while listening to her favourite heavy metal songs on full volume.

Jac would continue to push boundaries, to test where the line was of things she couldn’t do, and when she found there wasn’t one as long as she didn’t embarrass Russell in public, she gave up trying. Nothing she did would capture his attention, good or bad, so Jac may as well carry on like the roommate they treated her like rather than a member of the family. Russell had something of a temper, and while he didn’t really care what she did, he’d still blow up at her frequently for her ‘disrespect’ towards him, or her ‘ungodly’ choices. It wasn’t that bad though, not until the night he caught her and her girlfriend at the time in the middle of having sex. Jac didn’t think he’d really care about it, it wasn’t like he’d ever shown an interest in her dating life, but she was very wrong. Once her girlfriend had left, Russell slapped Jac so hard across the face he split her lip, knocking her to the floor before beginning a tirade of fury and abuse about how wrong and immoral she was for not only having pre-marital sex under his roof, but for doing it with another girl. Jac had had enough at this point, sixteen years of being ignored and treated as an annoyance, as less important than his ‘real’ family, and now he had an opinion about who she was becoming? No, no way. She unleashed sixteen years of hurt and rage in his direction, filled with more than a few cuss words that had made Judy faint from the shock of hearing them all strung together, and then headed back to her room, throwing her clothes, toiletries and electronics into a duffel bag, and left Russell’s house for good.

She never spoke to him again, never returned to the Fabray house or attempted any kind of contact with any of them. Why would she? It wasn’t like any of them stood up for anyway. Although, years later, when she heard about the divorce and Russell’s numerous infidelities, Jac had laughed herself sick at the hypocrisy of it all. She spent a couple of years couch surfing, dropping out of high school and earning money by lying about her age and working behind a bar in Hell’s Kitchen. It wasn’t like they vetted her that closely anyway, Jac figured they probably knew she was only sixteen, but it wasn’t exactly a reputable establishment. Eventually, Jac decided it was time to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, despite her lack of formal education, and after quitting her terrible bartending job, she got a position as a dishwasher in a restaurant. It was there that Jac fell in love with cooking, fascinated by the inner workings of the kitchen she was scrubbing pans in. The head chef seemed to notice the way that Jac would watch his techniques, the natural curiosity she seemed to have, and decided to take her under his wing. With his help, Jac learnt to cook like she never had before, learnt how to order produce, how to pick the best cuts of meat and freshest fish at the market. It meant many very early morning starts and late-night finishes, but for the first time in her life, Jac felt like someone actually cared about her and took interest in seeing her succeed. Succeed she did, quickly working her way up the kitchen ranks over the next decade until she made it to sous chef. Jac loved her job, and for many years she was content to just work beside her mentor in the kitchen, the two in perfect sync and Jac seeing him as the pseudo father figure she never had. She was even invited to spend the holidays with him, his wife and their two kids, and not once did she ever felt out of place or like she was intruding just for being there, welcomed in with open arms. However, after a massive heart attack, Jac lost him, and she’d never known a grief like that. Even after as his death, his family still kept Jac close, making sure she knew that she’d always have a place with them if that’s what she wanted. The restaurant was left to his kids, as Jac had expected, but what she hadn’t expected was the large sum of money that he left her to open up her own place, with a note telling her to stop doubting her own abilities and get on with it already. His family eventually moved back to Italy, but Jac remained in touch with them even so. She had been a week from opening the doors to her restaurant when the world descended into chaos. Jac knew she couldn’t stay, but there was a fury inside her that she hadn’t felt since she was sixteen at having her dream snatched from her hands at the last minute. Having a fair amount of savings still, she bought her way into Diamond on Sylvester Of The Seas, taking the available sous chef position at Luce. She resented having to work for someone else again after being so close to being the head chef of her own place, but this wasn’t exactly an ideal situation, and at least she got to keep a job she loved, no small thing in this topsy turvey world. Who knows, maybe she’d find the chance to open a restaurant of her own here, at the very least eventually be head chef. The worst thing about it all was that she was facing an eternity at sea with her deadbeat father, but there was something incredibly satisfying about seeing the great Russell Fabray scrubbing congealed food from plates in the kitchens attached to main dining room, while she got to hold the second-on-command spot at upscale Italian bistro, helping create the menu and actually work for what she had trained for. She hoped he’d never find a different position, forever stuck cleaning up after everyone else.

RACHEL BARBRA BERRY

ABOUT RACHEL

Rachel Barbra Berry, the youngest child of the Berry family and the puzzle piece that completed them, joined the family when she was adopted at birth on December 18th, 2001. Practically singing from birth, she delighted Hiram and Leroy, and as soon as Rachel could walk and talk, she was in vocal lessons and dance lessons. Her dads expected that if she didn't want to keep going with these lessons, however, she would let them know and she would find whatever "made her heart sing." They loved their children first and foremost, and wanted them to be successful in whatever field they chose. 

They didn't have to worry about her quitting lessons, though, because the theater was all Rachel ever thought about. In fact, the first play they took her to was a small, community production of The Wizard of Oz, and Rachel, a toddler at the time, tried to climb onto the stage herself to join the production. It was clear that although she was adopted, performing was in her blood. She put on shows solo and with her dads all the time and as soon as she was old enough to take acting classes, Hiram and Leroy enrolled her in those, too. 

As time went on, Rachel revealed herself to be a triple threat. She began in appearing in musicals and plays, both in school and in the community. Her name was known because of how prominent her fathers were in the theater community, but her talent spoke for herself. Her dads sent her to LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts and there, she flourished, really coming into herself as a leading lady. She worked hard, practicing every free moment, her dads often helping her rehearse. She dated now and then, but for the most part, she was laser focused on one goal: Broadway. From high school, she ended up attending NYADA to hone her craft, but when opportunity came knocking, she couldn't turn it down. 

There was an open call for the character of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, and that being Rachel's dream role from the first time she saw Barbra Streisand's face in the movie version, she knew she had to audition. She was only nineteen and halfway through her freshman year when she auditioned, and damn it, she booked it. There was an irresistible charm about her that the casting director couldn't deny, and her voice spoke for itself. Rachel WAS Fanny. She left NYADA to play Fanny pretty abruptly, (leaving a budding relationship in the dust), and she exploded overnight in the Broadway world. Who was this girl? The Funny Girl revival became the most successful show the year that she joined.

From there, came talks of a film remake, and Rachel wasn't sure how she felt about film acting, but they asked her to consider a screen test. She did, and of course, she naturally popped on screen. The role was offered to her once again, and again, she exploded. By the time she was 20, she was a full blown star both on and off Broadway, as the Funny Girl film was a huge success. She even dated her co-star and the two became #CoupleGoals before Rachel's world shattered. When her dads split, Rachel didn't know what to think about love, or if she thought anything at all. She was depressed, and she didn't want any part of a relationship, so she broke it off with her co-star and became determined to be completely career focused once again, ready to grab the next opportunity that she found...

And then the world collapsed, she's on this boat and she feels sick all the time, but she's happy to be alive and that her family is okay, and she is determined to find her purpose here. Hopefully it involves some tap shoes.

ABOUT SAM

As the oldest, Sam always felt like there was a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. His dad always installed in him that hard work was the only way to get through in life. His dad tried on many occasions to help Sam develop some good handy life and craft skills but decided against it after risking injury one too many times. It became clear this wasn’t Sam’s strongest skill and to save his fingers his father decided it was for the best. Sam head was always in the clouds, he was a big daydreamer. His dad then tried to get him to focus on his schooling which was definitely not a skill due to his dyslexia. One skill he was able to pickup was his love for guitar. It came so much quicker to Sam then a saw or writing ever did. Sam loved to sing and dance and play. He just loved it and he was told that he wasn’t half bad looking either. While he loved to play and sing his father always told him it was never a viable career. So Sam never thought it was possible. When his family hit on hard times it killed Sam to see how much his father was trying but they were struggling soo much. He decided to use his talents to try and help the family. Little did his parents know that part of that was working as a male stipper. 

White chocolate as he was known was loved by everyone. He had the moves and the rhythm. Sam found it really helped his family, especially with the tips and he quickly went up the ranks to become one of the most successful at the club. When his family got back on their feet Sam stayed on as a stipper until he learnt about the Mayan Apocalypse. Scared that the end of the world was happening, Sam had so much he wanted to experience in his life so he quit his job and focused on experiencing all that life had to offer and show his appreciation to those in his life. It all turned out to be false however and after the date of the Apocalypse Sam realised he was left with nothing. He even got a Mayan wedding although surely that’s not legal.

He then tried to take what he knew into a career in modelling. Sam was convinced that he could use his looks for money. He started being on the covers of magazines and began to be quite the hot commodity. Being in the modelling world intensified the focus on Sam’s body. It started Same obsession with how he looked. He would watch what he ate and over exercise when he was stressed. Sometimes he would starve himself if he was just too busy to eat or he had a big shoot coming up that he wanted to be the shape for. When he tried out to be a runway model his athletic build didn’t fit the lean build of the other models and it sent Sam spiralling into a dark place and his relationship with food it its lowest. So the family tried to get point him in another direction to take the heat off. That’s how he ended up in the most controversial remake of the Rocky Horror Picture show playing  Rocky. The film was not only a bust but it was so bad and so controversial that it all but destroyed Sam’s career. No one would touch him. He spiralled ended up going off grid. 

With that Sam was forced to return home. His family helped him get back onto his feet. Luckily they discovered The Channing Tatum former male stripper grant so Sam attended college and took up an acting course to hone his skills. This way he could continue his love of performing. As his acting skills grew he would add many other acts to his roster and as part of his time at college he realised his large mouth was particularly good for voice over work. Not only could he do the most amazing impressions but he could make the most amazing sounds with his mouth. A police car siren, no problem, a motor boat, by all means, beatbox, easy. He was like a one man folly artist.

Along with that one day whilst on his way to college he was out getting coffee when someone mistook him for Justin Bieber and he was filled with a brilliant idea. Hence the creation of his one man show The Justin Bieber experience. Sam would get hired for birthdays and events as a Justin Bieber impersonator and he was pretty good at it. He didn’t have to be himself and no one had to remember him from he bad publicity and he could live through the success of others.  Sam worked as a voice actor full time. He has a dog called McConaughey. As a side hustle he does have a number of alter egos which he does as impersonations. In his spare time Sam has always tried to give back through volunteering. He knows what it’s like to be down on your luck and spends time giving back at the local homeless shelter.

When the end of the world came Sam was convinced that he was stuck in the multiverse. He is waiting until he can find the portal to the way back to his universe. At first her found himself working onboard in the kitchen. He’s not sure how he needed up there but he was quickly reassigned as the ships announcer and communications officer. Although the only other language he can speak is Klingon. Sam struggles when bad things happen in his life. He has created an alter ego Evan who he often reverts to when needed. Evan is an Elvis Presley impersonator and Sam often refers to him as his smarter twin brother. Evan was discovered overboard the ship one day and has been randomly spotted onboard ever since. The records state that he is living in Sam’s quarters even though he doesn’t exist.

BRIE MARY WILDE

ABOUT BRIE

It girl Brie Wilde from the outside had the perfect life. Head cheerleader, dating the captain of the football team, class president. Although popular and certified queen bee of high school everyone loved her. If any of her classmates were to describe her they would call her a ball of sunshine. She was always happy and could find the positive in her life. Her bubbly personality meant she would talk to anyone. Little did they know that she craved that contact due to the lack she was getting at home. Raised in the privilege her family had, and the religion which was intertwined in every facet of life however they couldn’t be there for her they way she needed. Her parents were invested more in their religous status than her. Their absence left Brie with deep issues and a lifelong need to prove her worth outside of he dads shadow at church.

While trying to maintain family appearances Brie was a social butterfly in their society. They were brought up to always appear perfect even if everything else was falling apart. She found a talent in event planning contributing to the many events and activities in her parents and church social circle. It was also during this time that she found a deep love of fashion. She was growing to be a sharp, ambiguous woman, and while she might be a ball of sunshine, she should never be underestimated. 

While not the most conventional route after high school Brie took a gap year abroad and spent a year doing humanitarian aid in Asia. A decision her father deeply disapproved of. Stepping outside of her close knit bubble opened her eyes a lot and she then set her sight to explore more of the world. She got a fashion scholarship in Paris working at Dior. Her father tried to fight the move and keep her close and away from the evils of the world. But after Brie had seen some of the world she realised the way her father managed the family wasn’t normal. His heavy hand wasn’t they way all parents raise their kids. It was during this time in Paris, that Brie really found herself and she realised she was gay. This left her in a tricky situation with her boyfriend she was engaged to marry and best friend. She ended up in a weird love triangle between them, falling in love with her best friend, Brie ended up alone while they ended up together making her very guarded, and she learnt the hard way not to fall in love with a straight person.

With the end of her 5 year relationship which her parents were convinced was gonna lead to marriage, Brie decided to come out and embrace her sexuality. Unfortunately it was not received well and Brie found herself cut off by her parents and family. While her religous community she had know all her life was over she had lucky built up her own in Paris and she was beginning to grow her career there. While she was very successful at Dior she was getting increasingly frustrated that she wasn’t getting the credit for her designs. She eventually tried to push for more and was brought down by the legal team to some fine print in her contract that meant all her designs and ideas belonged to them. So she ended up leaving and starting her own brand ‘Keju’. It was a rocky start but through her persistence and hard work Keju started to grow. Until it became a household name. She was soon gracing covers and dressing celebrities.

As the world descended into chaos, luxury became irrelevant and being a known out gay persona life became more and more dangerous. Her shops were looted, investors disappeared and her New York pent house had to be abandoned. Everything she built was reduced to dust. Seeking shelter in her own flagship store, she took in a young lost girl survivor and they lived there for a few weeks. However it was during a particularly bad riot that she was ambushed and was left physically scared and emotionally armoured and she was separated form the girl. She never wanted to feel helpless again and hopes she will see that young girl again and know she is ok.

Finding a spot on the boats she was determined to never let her life be made by others and their choices. She set her sights on rebuilding her life. She still seeks to find the positive and loves to sing and she’s set herself the challenge of keeping fashion alive in this new world and finding ways to used the limited resources. She’s also taking up kickboxing to give her some protection in the future.
