The world was no longer as it once had been—Sera scarcely recognised the world she had awoken in, even in a city as old as Volterra. What intrigued her most, however, was the rapid heartbeat of a stranger across the way. There was something different about her. For a fleeting moment, Sera’s thirst for vengeance was eclipsed by curiosity as she crossed the street. “Well, aren’t you a sweet little thing,” she purred, her voice smooth as silk, settling herself before the stranger.

The words from the young woman amused her, despite the dark cloud that hung over her thirsting for revenge. There was something distinctly different about her that the original couldn't quite identify. The rapid heartbeat resonating in the woman's chest made her wonder if the sweet scent of her blood held more than mortality. “I would agree to both statements,” she replied, surprised by the sound of her own voice after what felt like an eternity, her tone soft and melodic, masking the true nature beneath.

The crimson hues of her eyes observantly swept over the busy streets of Volterra as the blonde strolled through the crowd, her steps casual and unhurried, like someone taking a leisurely walk. But beneath the surface, a storm of disgust and thinly veiled rage brewed. The city's very name in her mind infuriated her.

She scanned the faces, searching for any sign of her old life. More specifically, for him—Aro. The thought of wrapping her hands around his throat simmered beneath her calm facade. What she’d do afterward was a question for fate. Dressed in a pale blue sundress that brushed the ground, the original vampire moved on, taking in the world’s changes after centuries of imprisonment that left her with more questions than any answers. A flicker of movement in a nearby alley snagged her attention, piquing her interest as she beelined towards the disturbance.

•Created as one of the first vampires in existence, over 5,000 years ago, Sera lived through the rise and fall of empires until Aro put an end to her reign along with the rest of her coven. •She presents herself as the epitome of politeness, thoughtfulness, and gentleness, effortlessly embodying a serene and graceful demeanour. However, beneath her composed exterior lies a volatile nature that can shift unpredictably. Her emotions governs her actions with intensity, and her capriciousness has led to countless lives being cut short throughout her existence. Her feelings are remarkably fragile, and the consequences of her pain are felt by all in her path. However, she can often be swayed by her emotions in the opposite direction through charm and flattery. •In her human life, Sera’s existence was bleak and full of pain. She does not remember the life she lead before she became a vampire, the memories lost to her mind, but some part of her is aware she once had children before she was created and that they may have been her only joy. Whoever had fathered her children had not been a good man by any means, and her human life was too tainted for her fragile mind to maintain once she became vampire. As far as she is concerned, her life began when she was reborn. •She can be quite fragile mentally, which is often what drives her to destroy others and go to extremes. Avoiding the topic of her human life is best as the memories would only cause her pain. She isn't always sound of mind, and her emotions can draw her in to a spiral of violence. The belief that her mate was killed partnered with her impaired mental health, the unfathomable time she has lived, and the incarceration of herself and her coven at the hands of Aro have driven her even further to the brink. •Since being freed, her mind is frenzied with anger as she comes to terms with what Aro has taken from her. She’s uncertain of what she will do now that she is here, but her desire to seek retribution propels her to Volterra and her desire to make him pay for what he did to her. •Seraphina has the ability of power mimicry. She can copy or replicate the powers or abilities of others. Sera can gain access to the power of others for herself. Through touch, she absorbs the power of others and can hang on to the power for multiple hours and sometimes days. The longer she touches someone, the longer she can gain hold of these powers. Before she was entombed, she would create vampires to gain access to their powers for herself to use, collecting them to care for as she'd take from them when she pleased. TBA
