singing was always something sofia had enjoyed and she was no stranger to the stage in any fashion , but stripping ? she had always considered herself too expensive for that. the girl rarely liked to share the spotlight , but she knew when to give respect where due. she flashed a smile as theodora turned towards her and asked about the show , “ sorry to say i must have missed it , but i’m sure it was as spectacular as ever , angel. “ 

          not many people knew this about her, but theo wasn’t the worst at singing, in fact, she had quite a beautiful voice but she would never tell anyone that, because as confident as she was when she was up on stage, taking her clothes off, she could never sing in front of people. “ it’s a pity you missed it sofia, ” she pouted, before tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, “ but then again, i do feel horrible for not coming to your performance a couple of days ago. ”

it was a DANGEROUS move —- for silas to step into the strip club. he was always smart, but brazen in his actions and while it was not nearly as daring as stepping into the lion’s den itself — it was a risky move. one that his superior officers would… likely frown on if they found out. he sits, ordering himself a drink when one of the dancers approaches to do the same,  ❛  oh, of course ❜ he laughs, his genuine boom.  ❛  but unfortunately i missed most of it, i just got here. ❜

        theodora clicked her tongue quietly, shaking her head, “ that’s a pity, ” she spoke, pouting slightly at the handsome man, “ i’ll make sure to tell you when i’m going to perform again, ” she winked, grinning at the bartender as her usual drink, a dry martini, was set down in front of her. “ is this your first time here? because i’m sure i’d remember someone as handsome as you. ”

she’s not one for MOURNING ——- but to show respect was considered a requirement, especially for those lower on the totem pole. for the sake of the vigil, she adorned a sleek black dress lined with silk, hair fallen straight down her back as she sauntered through the crowd of vigil guests until she found an easy place to settle. turning towards the person at her side, she queried,   ❛  so uh, were you close to balthazar? ❜

          theo knew that she had to be respectable, but it was strange for her to be at a party and yet make such an effort to be conservatively dressed. she sighed as she took a sip of her wine, a small smile settling on her lips as irina spoke to her. theo shook her head, “ no i wasn’t, never met the man actually, ” she admitted, giving a small shrug, “ he might’ve come round to the club while i was performing, but i never spoke to him personally. how about you? ”

      she had energy pumping through her veins. it was normal every time she got off the stage, but today it was something special. nothing would take away the grin from her face as theo made her way to the bar, obviously wearing more clothes than she had only a few minutes ago. “ hey laney, the usual please, ” she spoke to the bartender with a grin, before turning to the person sitting closest to her, “ did you enjoy the show? ”

“one of the newer recruits said he lost his handgun.” jason’s head shook in disbelief, unable to comprehend such carelessness. “in some BAR. that shit has fingerprints on it, you know. so i made the kid go back and look, even though he was hungover as hell. eventually he found it in a stall in the woman’s bathroom,” he scoffed, a note of laughter ( although not very HAPPY ) in his voice. he smirked. “pretty sure he hates me now, but who gives a shit?”

       “ hmm, he probably was trying to show off his gun to a girl and when he was getting sucked off he completely forgot about it, ” theodora theorized, taking a sip of her drink as she shrugged her shoulders, “ besides, what idiots are we recruiting ? leaving his gun at a bar; even i know not to do that and apparently according to some people i’m just a dumb stripper, ” she grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest.

“ m-mm, ” ford hummed disapprovingly, slowly stepping in front of the door as his large stature serves as a barricade. “ turn around. ”

      “ c’mon ford, ” theo whined slightly, giving his shoulder a small poke, “ i’ll be good, i promise, i just want to sneak around a little, ” she bit her lip a little, “ besides, if you wanted me to turn around, i’ve been up for it the whole time i’ve known you; what changed? ”

a gentle sigh left the russian as she sat down beside him, leaving vlad to look up at theo and squint from the sunlight. “ i never said you weren’t interesting. ” he answered, flipping the newspaper back over and sitting it on the table. gracefully, the male got to his feet, leaning over the table to snag the sunglasses from the top of her head and put them back over his eyes. “ you’re not quick though. ” smirking, vlad sat back down in his seat.

theo hummed at his words, shrugging her shoulders slightly and giving him a pout. she gasped as the glasses who weren’t hers in the first place were stolen off the top of her head, before she burst out laughing giddily, “ i can be quick if i want, ” she retorted, “ besides, they look better on you than they do on me, ” the compliment eased past her lips as she leaned back into her chair once again.

the room was quiet besides the soft instramental music playing from finnegan’s phone and his fingers occasionally hammering against his computer’s keyboard. he’d take breaks intermittently but go back to his work, though it was obvious that his tolerance for whatever he was working on was waning. finally, he shut his laptop and looked up at the other person in the room, “i think i’m going to order an irresponsible amount of chicken tenders. you in?” 

        theo was bored; her feet were propped up on the table in front of her and she was just playing some random game on her phone, gently moving her head to the soft music that was playing. at the sound of his voice, the brunette grinned and nodded her head, “ oh fuck yeah i’m always down for some chicken tenders! and an ‘irresponsible amount’ is the right amount. ”
