“Disabilities have turned out to be a wide-open door to a new life of creativity and exploration. I never dreamt I would be drawing, printmaking, designing fabric-related products, and have my new business - ‘Hello Tasha.’
Hi! I’m Tasha, a native Texan born in Brownsville and living in Austin. Having been diagnosed with developmental disabilities when I was young, I found art as an outlet for personal growth. For the last four years, I have been a member of the Imagine Art community in Austin, TX exploring textiles, printmaking, painting, drawing, and clay. You can see my Imagine Art portfolio here: https://www.imagineart.net/tasha-johnson. I have been involved with Best Buddies Texas for over 14 years, including founding chapters at both St. Edward’s University and UT Austin, and speaking at the Best Buddies Conference in Indianapolis, IN in 2015.
Follow along with me as I make, show, and sell my artwork and share my life!
Thanks!
- Tasha
