Revista Job,

Three movie review by Kimi
I. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days,

Director: Donald Petrie
Year of Release: February 7, 2003
Short story: A magazine journalist who writes about "How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days" for her job. She targets Ben Barry, an advertising executive who bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in the same amount of time. The two manipulate each other, but unwittingly begin to fall in love.
Why I love it: I love how they spend their time together, making fun of each other without realising they will fall in love with each other. Their jokes, the light-hearted storytelling.
Favorite moment: When they were watching basketball together and Andie asked Ben to bring her a Coke, unfortunately she accidentally asked Ben to get her a Diet Coke version.
Why it’s special: They look happy, and the plot is light, there is no burden on your mind if you watch this when you are tired.
II. Dead Poets Society

Director: Peter Weir
Year of Release: June 2, 1989
Short story: fictional elite boarding school called Welton Academy, and tells the story of an English teacher who inspires his students through his teaching of poetry.
Why I love it: Light yet sad. There is a lot we can take from the film, like "Carpe diem Seize of the day" there is a lot we can take and learn. The main character is trying to get the best for himself, but we can't satisfy other people's expectations.
Favorite moment: Where they spend time together with "Captain" learning poetry while exercising, or while telling stories.
Why it’s special: With its powerful themes and profound message about the courage to be oneself amidst social pressure, this film is not merely watched — it is remembered and deeply reflected upon. “We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute.. we read and write poetry cause we are members of the human race.”
III. La La Land

Director: Damien Chazelle
Year or Release: December 9, 2019
Short story: While stuck in Los Angeles traffic, Sebastian "Seb" Wilder has a moment of road rage directed at aspiring actress Mia Dolan. After a hard day at work, Mia's next audition goes awry because the casting director takes a phone call during an emotional scene. That night, her roommates take her to a lavish party in the Hollywood Hills, promising her that someone in the crowd could jump-start her career. After her car is towed, she walks home in disappointment.
Why I love it: the musics, acting, chemistry, every scene with a touching aura.
Favorite Moment: the planetarium scene. That was awesome, that is something else for me..
Why it’s special: THE CHEMISTRY. YOU CAN SEE HOW HE PUT A LOT OF WHAT IF QUESTIONS IN HIS BRAIN AND THEN THE FIGHT SCENE. THE WHAT IF SCENE. IT'S SO COOL AND I LOVE IT. 😭😭💧💧
If I were a director:
1. I'm going to make a film with the romcom genre. It has a light storyline and I'm sure everyone will like it. (I'll use Ryan Gosling as the lead).
Fake dating, like Bridgerton season one, is a lot and trivial, but who wouldn't love it? Everyone will love it.
2. A woman who doesn't believe in love, but is forced into it for some reason. With this fake dating, he will behave in a typical dating behaviour, but slowly love will grow in time.
3. My biggest inspiration is Bridgerton season 1 by Shondaland. The warmth, the love, you can feel it.
4. I will use warm colours, proving that love will continue to be warm
5. Who I’d make it for: For anyone who doesn't believe in love!
