          what adorned rosy lips was CONTAGIOUS, or perhaps it was just being in her presence that coaxed a mirrored smile on masculine features. ❛ wait ‘til you get a load of my JUNK, ❜ the alcohol spoke for him, sleazily, & through a w i d e grin  —  though, he was rather flagrant sober, nevermind under the influence, just less so in her company. a beaming expression faltered as she disappeared into the chaos, aimlessly fiddling with loose threads of the material beneath him, eyes not LEAVING the crowd once. but it soon returned, once finding her within the madness with the two, overspilling beers in hand. ❛ thanks, ❜ manners were a rarity for jaehyun, free but hardly ever used ; this was one of the few times. body naturally g r a v i t a t i n g towards her, so that their arms lightly touched, he inspected the lipstick print on the cup before taking a SWIG but soon broke to laugh at the other’s words  —  yet another uncommon sight. ❛ AH, shit. i think i’d have to carry you home if you did, ❜ which was unlikely, or to be pursued with great difficulty, considering his own state,  ❛ but at this rate, i’ll probably be out before you. i stopped counting at six. ❜

so she’s a bit BUZZED , and he looks a little too good for her not to stare but then again , when did it become a sin to appreciate a good view ? and what a view he was , she thinks to herself as she takes a sip of the bubbly liquid , “ i don’t know if i can trust you , ” she tosses him a teasing glance paired with a smirk dangling at the corners of her lips ---- yet he was probably one of the few people she did trust and the only one who knew what she was AFRAID of . with anyone else , soojin gave off the impression that she was fearless , and though she was to an extend , there was always something holding her back . but with jaehyun , she truly did f e e l fearless . she shook her head like a child , a pout playing at her lips , “ you would drop me , no doubt about it .” with one quick sip , she finished the rest of her drink , letting the buzz take over before deciding to lie down , wide hues looking at the sky which was now a swirl of reds , oranges and yellows . instinctively , her fingers reach out for jaehyun’s , “ lay down with me. ” she hums softly with a smile that had the universe hidden behind .

jaehyun .

          perhaps it was the BRIGHT lights & the loud music booming through the speakers that created his peculiar state of e u p h o r i a  —  & not the narcotics washed down with cheap alcohol. suffocated by MASS of bodies, it was almost impossible to breathe. in need of fresh air, he began staggering through the swarm of flying limbs ( hit by the odd one passing through ). finding a place of solace, a quieter spot towards the back, wide eyes struggled to spot the BEAMING smile among the couples laid out on picnic blankets  —  but a h o n e y voice guided him in the right direction. ❛ uh, yeah, ❜ even simple words were slurred. ❛ had enough of people accidently groping me, you know ? ❜ without hesitation, he sat down beside her & lean arms hugged l o o s e l y around his knees. ❛ is that even a fucking question ? ❜ tender lips formed a SMIRK ; though a brow raised. saying no to alcohol was something he wasn’t capable of, especially if it was free. 

a smile begins to blossom across her petal pink lips while coffee colored hues d r i n k in jaehyun’s features , ' well , you have a nice butt . can you blame them ? ’ she asks with a smirk , head falling back with long locks cascading down her shoulders , letting the sun continue to kiss her skin . soojin isn’t the most friendly with a lot of people but somehow , there’s a different side of her whenever she was with the male that she didn’t even know about . maybe that was because he’s seen the side of her that she’s tried to shield away , thought she would looked weak if people KNEW . it doesn’t take long for her to wander off into the crowd and return with two beers in hand , the liquid filled to the BRIM and spilling over with each step she took , she takes a sip from both cups before handing one to jaehyun , ’ consider it payment because i had to walk the two steps. ’ a smirk tugs at the corner of her lips as she takes a sip , ‘ so, this is my sixth beer ? possibly eighth , ’ who bothers keeping count anyways ? ‘ so i might crash on this blanket soon , do you think they’re going to kick me out if im asleep ? ’ she asks with a quirk of her head and eyebrows knitted , ‘ that’d be so rude. ’

SANGTAE .

          MAYBE IT WAS THE FACT that he was wearing sunglasses, and a considerably lighter outfit than usual, or maybe soojin was drunk or feeling particular BENEVOLENT — but she was the last person sangtae would’ve expected to offer to share anything with him ( unless it was something akin to a slap ). he would’ve avoided her, which was usually the s a f e s t bet around her, but the alcohol flowing through his veins was clouding his already INADEQUATE judgement and he found himself approaching her cautiously. «you hit your head or somethin’ ?» he questioned uneasily, prepared to run away if she intended to throw a shoe or something at him.

wide brown hues blink softly, a smirk coiling at the corners of his lips while fingertips drummed against the cool grass as she waits for a reply ; it’s a daring move , but she’s a bit buzzed and a bit bored . and the caution that was blooming across his face and the curiosity that tugs through his eyebrows emits a laugh from the younger woman , it’s no secret that soojin had a temper that could be compared to a hurricane , chaos and thunder bottled up behind moonlight eyes and a stardust smile . ‘ nope . ’ she offers a l i g h t grin , ‘ come sit , what ? are you scared ? ’ she teased , eyebrows quirked while her voice was dripping with tease .

‘ duh ’ - minsook wasn’t sure if cringing was appropriate, so he did his best to sound natural as he let out a small chuckle; it must’ve been cute in someone’s eyes, he assumed. “ sorry about your drink, ” he added, probably a beat too late; for some reason, he just couldn’t focus properly and he didn’t like anything about that fact. soojin might’ve not been his favourite person to spend time with, but that did not mean he could put any less effort into their accidental meeting. “ what am i doing here? oh, you know, ” he started, prelonging his words in a playful attitude. he moved his glass a tiny bit, watching the liquid twirl inside, a smile forming on his face - were his fake intentions obvious enough with that? “ just looking for some fun; the usual. ”

‘ yeah -- sucks . well , guess now you owe me a new one . after all , you’re the one who bumped into ME ’ there’s a casual shrug to her shoulders , happy with herself that she technically got half of a drink for free ! she was a somewhat broke freelancer , she’s going to take all the help she can get ; she also feels less guilty because it’s minsook , he’s almost like a stranger . ‘ like the freaky type of fun ? ’ there’s a curious quirk of an eyebrow now , not realizing that she’s crossing boundaries . it’s an awful habit of hers , always nosy and jumping to conclusions. ‘ i guess you’re in luck , bet you can probably get someone to jump your bones in just three minutes ’ she assures , hues drifting towards couples who are locking lips ,  not very passionately it seems like , sloppy and gross was more like it .

quite predictably, minsook attented the annual festival yet again - not because he particularly enjoyed the songs they always played or the company of masses of teenagers drinking whatever kind of alcohol they could find; it wasn’t even because someone has invited him to go and he couldn’t refuse, no. it was a popular event, which meant - a lot of people, a lot of alcohol, a lot of information. temporarily forgetting he’s currently on a vacation, he had his notebook ready ( just in case ) and with a drink in his hand ( untouched, he couldn’t afford to lose control at a time like this ) he maneuvered through the crowd, trying to eavesdrop on every conversation going on around him until he found t h e  o n e. “ oof, ” before that could happen, though, he bumped into someone; thanks to his quick reflexes, he was able to catch his glass in time, so his intruder wasn’t soaked. not allowing an ounce of irritation to show of his face, he shot them one of his friendlier smiles, which only grew bigger when he recognised the familiar face. “ oh? i wasn’t expecting you here; what brought you to our small gathering, if i may know? ”

the slender female holds a cup of beer in one hand , liquid almost flowing from the brim of the cup and her cellphone in the other , it’s truly a miracle she hasn’t tripped over something just yet , preferably her own two feet . but she’s clearly spoken too soon as she finds herself lost in a crowd , people rubbing shoulders against one another as hues scan her surroundings , looking for a way OUT. and while soojin was careful , it looks like her luck has run out as another body collides into hers and while half of her drink is soaked on the floor , she lets out a sigh of relief that none has gotten onto her dress . ‘ it’s a music festival , i think the entire population of gagnam is here . duh ’ she chuckles , dark hues meeting the others , drinking in his features in the dim lighting . ‘ what about you ? what are you doing here ? ’ she asks curiously, if only to direct his question back to him .

Though Sora had desperately wished for the weekend off, she was immediately placed on duty for the music festival. That would’ve been fine, if it wasn’t for the fact that there were hundreds of young adults causing chaos everywhere around her, it was times like these when she desperately wished she was in the company of people older than herself, perhaps they would be quieter, perhaps she could even think straight for one moment. Tired, sweaty in her godawful uniform and extremely irritated, one second alone leads her to angrily scream. “Why is everyone at this stupid festival so loud! I swear the things I would do to make people just SHUT UP.”

she rocks on the balls of her feet , head bopping along to the music that was drifting through the entire outdoor stadium and she’s minding her own business . it’s nice with company but when she finds herself alone , it helps her focus more on the music than her company ; not having to make sure a constant flow of conversation was always going as well as having to keep track of so many people . by herself, she just gets to enjoy --- that was until she heard a comment and for a good thirty seconds , she held her tongue. but alas , the slender female always had something to say. ‘ are you lost ? ’ she asks , ‘ because it sounds like you’re looking for a library or the knitting club . but hey , if i was wearing that , ‘ her eyes drift over the uniform the other was wearing , ‘ i guess i’d be angry too. ’

soojin tips her sunglasses back --- her favorite pair, circular frames with pink tinted lens, particularly fitting for summer and especially for the music festival. she finds that she’s not the biggest fan of crowds , there’s too many people knocking into one another , too many spilled drinks && men passing a pathetic attempt at groping her ass. and while she’s all for fun and games , the raven haired female finds herself towards the back of the crowd , sitting on a blanket laid on top of the grass , humming along to the song that was playing , that was before she recognized the familiar face among the crowd . she blinks , unsure of whether she wants to be alone or with company ,  at least for a little while . ‘ the crowd get to be too much for you ? ’ she asks with a grin , when the other catches her voice and makes eye contact . ‘ sit with me ! ’ she pats the space next to her , clearly big enough for two. ‘ want to share a beer ? ’ eyebrows quirked with a pout donning upon her petal lips because of course , what kind of festival would it be without a bit of alcohol ?

              they didn’t mean to startle the other, thinking that their voice was like the one they used on their sister as children. the placid smile was quickly replaced by a sheepish look on their face, muttering an apology in turn. “ sorry, was jus’ wondering. ” haneul shoved both hands into the pockets of their jeans, shifting their weight from foot to foot as they cussed under their breath. sucks to be them in the morning. “ well, fuck. okay – that’s cool, i guess. ” sighing, their gaze followed where she pointed and a smirk followed. “ — within ten feet from entrance. i’m pretty i can, thanks. nice try, though. ”

coffee colored hues, ones that were warm as a sunny may morning with lashes as thick as the night, don’t bother glancing up to the stranger as she responded with a quiet hum ; which is more than she gave to MOST. silence fills the air for a moment, the only sounds that could be heard is the soft clicking of soojin’s fingernails against her iphone, responding to as many comments as she can and she makes a mental note for each reply to be humble and kind ; after all, that was the reputation she had built for herself and there’s no way in hell she was going to get d r a g g e d just because she forgot to say ‘ thank you ‘ in a comment. ‘ HUH ? ’ eyes flutter away from the screen as the other spoke once more , ‘ last time i checked ,  you can’t light a cigarette without a lighter . good luck trying , though. ’ she mirrors their response with a smirk and a chuckle , almost mocking like.
