what karmic crime have I committed. yesterday I had to go to the bank to verify my identity for my new checking account because it got a fraud alert within 15 mins of me opening it. whatever. that took 5x longer than it needed to because we sat on hold with their fraud department for half an hour but it got fixed ok fine. then I accidentally transferred money to my new checking account twice and overdrew the first by $900 LOL, which I found out when my card declined at a coffee shop this morning. tried to log into my new account to transfer money back only to discover i've been locked out AGAIN. I call, spend 45 mins on hold for them to say I need to go to a bank irl again. AWESOME

and then just now my partner and I get told that the elevator has broken down in the building we're moving into on friday and it might not be fixed by then. we're going to be on the fifth floor. WOOHOO. and the check for 1st month rent and security is apparently delayed in the mail because of flooding so I hope they let us move in lmfao

Sure since adopting self checkout they got rid of 99% of grocery workers and if something goes wrong you gotta just stand there for 20 minutes while the employee managing 30% of the store singlehandedly tries to juggle helping you with their other responsibilities.
