This GFM campaign belongs to Fadi Alshrafi, who you can find on TikTok here. His family is one of hundreds who are on the Operation Olive Branch spreadsheet. He is one of 9 family members trying to evacuate Gaza; as of 2/19, his brother was injured during bombings, his pregnant sister-in-law needs urgent prenatal care, and his father needs medication for Congestive Heart Failure (if you're in healthcare you know how dire it is to go without CHF medication; if you're not in healthcare: heart failure means heart FAILURE. If it goes untreated for too long it will become fatal).
I've checked today (2/28) and Fadi's campaign has reached about 22% of its goal, not even 1/3 of the way there. Please donate what you can, and spread this campaign to help Fadi and his family.
Actions you can take after sharing:
Call your reps and demand a ceasefire and safe passage of aid entry into Gaza (US)
Gaza Action Toolkit
Global Protest List
Millions March list (protests on 3/2 in Puerto Rico, US, Canada)
EDIT: For some reason tumblr isn't letting me hyperlink Fadi's tiktok so I'll add it here:

"in brazil, a new year tradition to keep the sea goddess happy: the one-night hedonistic release is one of the world’s largest new year’s celebrations, but it began as something far more spiritual. in the 1950s, followers of umbanda, an african brazilian religion, began congregating on copacabana on new year’s eve to make offerings to their goddess of the sea, Iemanjá, and ask for good fortune in the year ahead."

Mahmoud Darwish, Memory for Forgetfulness: August, Beirut, 1982 (trans. Ibrahim Muhawi) [ID'd]
on context: "[set during] the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon and the shelling of Beirut [...] Memory for Forgetfulness is an extended reflection on the invasion and its political and historical dimensions. It is also a journey into personal and collective memory. What is the meaning of exile? What is the role of the writer in time of war? What is the relationship of writing (memory) to history (forgetfulness)?" (source)

I think we need more "unnecessary" gore in horror movies actually I think people should explode into a giant mess of blood and tissue and viscera during random scenes in horror movies

This is Heba, she's a sweet lady who's really suffering right now. Her and her family are trapped in Rafah. Their recent attempt to return to northern Gaza didn't go so well.
She tells me she's sick and tired and that Rafah is currently infested with mosquitoes and they're all scared of the coming israeli ground offensive so please donate to help them get their whole family out 🙏 and share please.

hey, so i saw this post by @/palipunk [tumblr link] about a gofundme campaign to help someone evacuate gaza right now, with a tweet where the organizers are asking for only 250 people to each donate €100 to help reach the goal. i have almost exactly that and thought to become one of the 250 people, but i realized i could try to help stretch that money even further by matching other people's donations.
so, boost this post and whatever amount of money you have to give--50, 20, 10, 1 or less--donate it to the GFM linked below and then send a screenshot of proof of your donation either in a reblog on this post or in DMs to me, and i'll match it, up to $100 (which is a little less than €100 but it's what i have).
i'm hoping that at the very least we can get another person's worth of donations and double my original donation, maybe more if people keep donating through this post after i've sent all mine, but even if this post gets no traction i'll still be donating the full $100 within the week. there's nothing to lose, please boost to help Walaa Abusamra and her family evacuate gaza right now, and donate anything you can if you have it.

A crowdfunding appeal has been launched to help a 29-year-old Black trans woman who lost both her legs after allegedly being thrown onto NYC subway tracks by her boyfriend. A statement from the New York City District Attorney confirms that the victim and her boyfriend were at the Fulton St. station in Brooklyn when the man is said to have seen the oncoming downtown train coming and “thrown” his girlfriend towards the tracks. “The victim was rushed to the hospital, where both of her legs had to be amputated. She also suffered from fractures to her ribs and a blood clot in her lungs,” the statement continues. When the police arrived, they found the woman under the train, reports Into. The woman has since taken part in an interview with trans activist Hope Giselle, and explains that she was on her way to a gender-affirming appointment when she alleges that she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he “threw” her onto the tracks.
