Do's and Don't's of mailing us your film. DO: package up your film in a secure padded envelope or box that is sealed securely and has either our shipping label clearly taped to it, or proper postage paid already on it. DON'T: do this

I'm real terrible at this aren't I?
With everything going on in the lab, both with the new website changes and specials and things with our in-store customers, I've completely forgotten about this blog!
But fear not! I'm still here! Just...not as present as before.
Let's see...updates...well...I'm sure you've all heard by now, but we got a new scanner about a month ago! It's a Noritzu and it's really fast! It scans 120 as fast as our old scanner scanned 35mm and we love it.
What's been going on in your lives? What's new? Done anything exciting lately? We wanna know! Shoot us an ask or reply to this post. We wanna know about you.

patternsoflightandshadow answered your question: Anyone have anything fun planned for this weekend?
Driving around backroads, might even break out the 4x5 for some shooting.
Nice! Sounds like a good weekend to me.

Anyone have anything fun planned for this weekend?
Maybe you're going out to a favourite location to shoot some film, or you and some friends are going to go on a hike? We want to get to know our customers/followers. Tell us about yourself!
Personally, I'm preparing to do an informal photo shoot with one of my best friends on Saturday. I'm slowly but surely getting back into shooting more and more film; revisiting an old love that has been re-kindled by this job. I'll be sure to post some of the results as soon as I get them! =)

Do you use a Holga?
If I was you, I would pick out what you think is your best Holga shot within the next couple of days...you know...just to be safe. ;)

Since all of you do us the honor of sharing your personal photos with us, I figured I'd share some of mine with you. Here's a couple of my favourite shots from a recent trip to Portsmouth, NH. My lovely subject is one of my best friends, Darcie. Beautiful, isn't she? :)
Camera: Honeywell Pentax

Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything guys!
Things have been a little crazy in the lab with Steve (my boss) on vacation and Andy and I trying to figure out how to run everything ourselves for the week. But things are going fairly smoothly so far! Has anyone checked out the new site? We're still working out kinks and issues as they come up, but it's past beta testing and up and running now! Go check it out!

Apologies to anyone who tried to access our websites this weekend!
We had some technical difficulties and our sites crashed. oldschoolphotolab.com is back up and running, but as of now 120processing.com is still experiencing problems. But we are trying as hard as we possibly can to get everything back in nearly-perfect working condition. Thanks for your patience!

An older photo of mine, shot in 2007 on my first SLR, a Minolta SRT-102 with a basic 50mm f/1.7 len. This is the first photo I took that I was proud of. Worth getting up at 6:02am for. Via Flickr: Minolta SRT-102 Rokkor-PF 50mm 1:1.7 Kodak HD 400
