I LOVE how loud the drums sound during the first part of polyphemus! It's something I always note but never talk about. They sound BIG like the kind of drums you put your whole body into playing. Almost like the drums themselves are more suited to the size of a cyclops rather than a man. To me at least, the drums almost sound like they're bigger than odysseyus himself in size making you feel just as small as him and his men.
