Hi guys!! I've been a lot less active so I just wanted to give u guys a little update.

I've been very busy with cosplay lately and my personal life is a bit of a mess. I have a lot going on in my neighbourhood that makes it hard for me to focus when I'm at home so I've been less motivated to work on mods and such (and my hyperfixation kinda died oops!!). This does NOT mean I'm quitting already, don't worry! I'm just slowing down and taking it easy. I'll release things when I feel ready. ♡

With the whole cosplay thing I have a LOT I gotta keep up with on social media. I have an instagram w over 30K followers so as u can imagine social media can be... very overwhelming. So if I ever go radio silent here, know it's likely just bc I'm overwhelmed and allowing myself to rest.

On that note though, Demeter swimsuit is coming along very well & I'm proud as I've never dyed fabric this way before :) I'll probably work on a leotard for Bombalurina after this one. I'm going to see Cats for my birthday in May and it'd be fun to partially cosplay Bomba to it xx

Apologies for the lack of updates currently! I've been busy con prepping for a cosplay convention this weekend ☺️ first one of the year, can't wait!

Also, should I share cosplay content on here too? I was considering making a seperate blog for it, but knowing me I'd probably go inactive again after a while because keeping up cosplay social media gets a bit tedious for me (instagram is enough pressure on its own x3) but I'd love doing the occasional post if y'all are interested x

How to fix the newest update bug with modded tattoos (SFS Batch Fix Walkthrough)

Hey everyone! I just updated my game, so I got to test out some of my work through the newest tattoo update. As of right now, there is a bug that makes it so that you cannot remove modded tattoos from your sims while in CAS (as in, if you pick it, clicking the X to remove it no longer works). While you can fix this by selecting an EA tattoo and then removing, Sims 4 Studio has now updated to include a fix for this, so let me walk you through it!

1. If you can, try and have your tattoos all grouped up in a folder for batch fix.

While this is not a MANDATORY step, it'll definitely make your batch fix faster, because sims 4 studio will only run through the tattoos folder, rather than your whole sims mods folder. If your tattoos arent categorized in your mods folder and you're fine with waiting, you can skip this step

2. Make sure you have sims4studio's most recent download.

3. Look for "Content Management" and go under Batch Fixes -> CAS -> "Update Tattoos for Business & Hobbies"

4. When you get this popup, go ahead and browse your files to select your tattoos folder.

If you have everything uncategorized in your mods folder, just leave it as Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims4/Mods. If I'm not mistaken, it should default to your mods folder already. Browsing is only if you want it to only batch fix a specific folder (Tattoos, in my case)

5. Click run, and you're done!

Please note that some occult or skin detail cc is sometimes categorized as tattoos, so you may need to batch fix some other folders as well!

Cats CC update

Hii guys, I know I have some people following me who want to download my stuff when I'm done with it, so I thought I'd give a little update !!

The tails are coming along, I've modelled two types of tails for both male and female frames and am now working on making swatches for the different characters. They're finally not bugging out while the characters move around. The scaling and weighting is still not perfect, but it's functional, at least, so I'll take it. I'm also working on leg warmers for the different characters!

You might notice my CAS background -- I'm working on making one based on the Cats stage. The current one isn't perfect yet but it's close to how I want it. I thought it'd be fun to be able to see the cats in their proper environment while working on them ^^ Aside from that, I'm working on facepaints and unis for several more characters -- this post might have a bit of a spoiler for some of them 👀 My current plan is to just keep working on things as I see fit, with the intent to release my first items for download somewhere later this month. I'll likely be releasing the tails, leg warmers, and items for Bombalurina first. ^^ That's all for now! <3

I LOVE this analysis and wanted to add something I've always noticed about Tugger.

He's kind of painted as this character that's very self-absorbed and just loves to make a scene and get attention - and unfortunately people that don't really pay him much mind aside from taking his song at face-value can interpret him as being just that.

But what always stood out to me is that for *most* of the musical, he's always standing off to the side, up on some part of the stage slightly away from the rest of the cats. He is repeatedly shown to respect and uplift other cats, even if he can be disruptive at times. But for a lot of the musical he is essentially *shying away* from the spotlight, quite literally sidelining himself instead of taking center stage. He really doesn't take up much space at ALL. And in a way to me that's always communicated a sense of humility. He *doesn't* want to be the center of attention all the time, he appreciates his personal space and gives the others more than enough space to shine instead of him. He likes putting on a show and he likes the attention his "fans" give him but only in moderation. And I really appreciate that about him!

It seems like a very conscious decision. Like, it's logical he couldn't be center stage the entire time anyways because then we wouldn't be able to properly get acquainted with the other cats. But putting him in these specific spots off to the side, secluded (a visual that comes to mind with this is the way he is placed on the stage during Old Deuteronomy), is a move they have to make deliberately. And I think that communicates much about his character and how he really isn't as vain and self-absorbed as he may seem on the surface.

more serious aspects of rum tum tugger

admittedly, i watch act 1 of cats wayyyyyy more than act 2. i’m not sure why, but it means i listen to “mr mistoffelees” a lot less, so it kinda slipped my mind that… rum tum tugger sings “mr mistoffelees”… 😬 but seriously watching and listening to it after a while of detox made me, weirdly, appreciate tugger’s character so much more than before.

if you don’t think tugger is a very complex character or someone worth delving into, let me offer this: we talk about john partridge being THE tugger, that he’s yet to have been surpassed or lived up to, and it’s true, but from what i’ve seen, i don’t think us fans get him quite right either. (not anyone specifically, just in a general sense.) and from what i’ve heard, other productions are great, but there’s just nothing quite like his 1998 film portrayal. i don’t just mean the swagger, but also the gravitas that he gives off. it was really lightning in a bottle. that’s how difficult it is to get his character truly right. (such is the case for a lot of cats in my opinion, but i’m being picky.)

…… yes, i know tugger is meant to be vain and rebellious and a sexy, indecisive flirt, and i do realise that the three words are just “in general” to help actors perform better, BUT, you cannot tell me that this description doesn’t water him down to a puddle :

his three words are apparently “vain, perverse, inconsequent”. “vain”? you mean the one whose first instinct was to call upon someone else more competent to help when old deut was in danger? the one who pleaded for the jellicles to listen to him, and gladly gave reasoning while hyping up misto, instead of just saying trust me bro? the one who is clearly extremely grateful and proud to be old deut’s son? and “perverse” is only true if they mean “contrary”. otherwise, his whole song shows him rejecting all the hot girls who all want him. “inconsequent”? firstly, i’m pretty sure that they’re using this word wrong. second, if they mean “not caring about consequences”, then tell that to the cat who stopped his entire party instantly just to alert the tribe of grizabella’s appearance. (and he clearly looks very disappointed when nobody liked his bagpipes gag!)

tugger is attractive, admired by many, influential, high-status and charismatic. yet, he only ever uses his prominence to do what’s best for the jellicles or what would make them happy, both individually and as a whole. in misto’s number, he steps up completely soberly when the jellicles need him the most. he hypes up misto because he knows his influence will make the cats believe in him. he gives the cats some much needed levity during times of crisis. he entertains etcetera, his biggest fan, like a singer inviting a child on stage and it shows that he cares.

i wanna talk about tugger’s design as well in terms of his character. tugger’s presence is the perfect balance of cool and warm. he is stylish and impressive, a self-assured and level-headed cat with an assertive aura, who easily keeps his composure, but at the same time, he’s inviting and open, a dutiful and shrewd cat with an incredible sense of humour, who is able to lift the hearts of those around him. this is reflected in his design, as his top half has a huge fluffy mane, but the rest of him is sleek black, yet done in a way that’s complimentary and not conflicting.

beneath the show-off, the swagger, and the sex appeal, he’s a mellow and mature tom cat who just loves to put on a good show and give the crowd exactly what they want. he’s just as serious and responsible and caring and full of love for his tribe as munkustrap is, while still being able to retain his thrilling and unruly side (which somehow makes him seem even more responsible, since he has the capacity to balance levity and soberness to the fullest extent).

people try to give him sad backstories or make him seem softer and that’s fine, but it’s a rare thing that we get such an ineffably complex character without needing things like a drastic arc or sympathetic traits. through tugger, i’ve gained a newfound admiration for this sort of adamantine character, and this qualia of his shines through, however subtly, in every number he’s in.

i did my best, but my words probably don’t do him justice either. maybe during your next watch of cats, try to search for this feeling!

(and i think, in this way, he really embodies rock music so well. so fun and exciting and rebellious, but still able to sound so classic, solemn and heavy.)

Tail's done!! Well... for the most part. I just have to figure out how to make it so that it doesn't clip into the butt as you're scaling it :sob::sob: I'm glad I finally have a tail I don't hate, though. On that note, has anyone else's CAS been really annoying since the update? My sims stand askew (u can see it in the screenshot, she's leaning to one side) and the zooming is all screwed up. Maybe it's a mod conflict... Either way, it's like way past midnight here so I'll have to figure that out later JSHJXHSJDFH bedtime now!!

WIP -- Tried to make a tail the "easy way" so many times (the same way I sculpt the shoulder fluffies) and kept messing up so I'm caving and trying it the "hard way". Should've done this from the start as it looks way better and barely takes more effort :sob: oh well, I'm learning!
