Spiritual practices for Him should not be left out till His experience – remember this. He is attainable through japa and
meditation. The way you are doing japa and meditation now, try to make it continuous. It would never happen that He would not respond to your call. It takes time. When your practice is intensive, this will be favorable for (His) revelation.

‘God Resides Within Each Person’
You will have to accomplish your own work yourself because you have the power and capacity to act. In this world of humans it is the play of action that predominates.
He who is bound is the jiva(individual) and that which is subject to continuous motion is the world.
If you are after sense objects it lies in their nature to enslave you. But the nature of the Lord's name is to burn whatever has to be burnt and to melt what has to be melted.
The fact that Vamiki could take God's name so fervently was entirely due to God's grace.
You are Atmarama, a Rishi. The practice that will bring to light your rishihood is potentially present within you.
Tread the spiritual path, the path to God; by treading it Rishihood will gradually be attained.
God resides within each person - in this there is no differentiation between man or women, no caste distinction.
Everything is already contained within you but you have to perform some spiritual practice. The inherent power that lies dormant within you must be awakened.
SRI ANANDAMAYI MA

"From every creature in the world something or other can be learned. In this sense everybody is everybody else's Guru. But the Supreme Guru is He who guides man in his search of God or Truth. When as a result of meditation and 'satsanga'* a person begins to yearn for God, He Himself appears to him embodied in the form of the Guru. A true disciple is one who by complete surrender at the Guru's feet comes to realize who the Guru actually is. The disciple must devote himself to the service of the Guru and always obey His orders implicitly. The Guru's grace and benediction stream down on the head that bows low before him. The more one-pointed and the humbler the disciple grows, the quicker will develop his capacity for progress.
Another word for son is 'atmaja', Self begotten. On the spiritual path, as soon as the relationship between the Guru and the disciple has become indissoluble, it is appropriate to call the disciple the real son, 'atmaja', of the Guru."
~ Sri Anandamayi Ma
(From "Sad Vani" A Collection of teachings of Ma Anandamayi as recorded (in writing) by Bhaiji and later translated by Atmananda, #38, page 56)
*"Satsang" = "The company of sages, saints and seekers after Truth, either the actual physical company or, in an applied sense, by reading holy scriptures or the lives of saints" ("Glossary of Sanskrit Words" in "Sad Vani" page 155)

Question: How to acquire the child like state?
Mataji: Seek the company of the pure and Godlike and obey the Guru and elders. This will lead to the spontaneous unfolding of the childlike state.
Question: How shall we realize God?
Mataji: Weep for Him and you will find Him.
Question: I cannot weep at all. Tears simply won't come. What shall I do?
Mataji (laughing): Seek the company of those who weep. Keep the company of pure and God minded persons.
Question: What is the easiest way to God?
Mataji: Profuse tears.
Question: And if tears do not come?
Mataji: Then you should seek the company of those who shed tears; namely, seek satsang. This is the easiest way to God through love and devotion.

Question: The other day in Madras you said that when one has no tears to shed in the search for God, one should resort to Satsang. I have had satsang for many years and yet I see no appreciable improvement in myself.
Mataji: Your being here now and your asking the question are tears. By tears is meant the perseverance in the search with devotion. How can you say that you have not benefited by those years of Satsang?
But for them, you might not have reached even so far.
Question: Why does Realisation not come even though one spends all the twenty-four hours at the feet of saints and sages?
Mataji: Out of the twenty-four hours, how must time do you give to God?
If someone stays day and night with saints, serving them, he will no doubt reap the fruit of it.
If full Realisation does not occur, it does not mean that one has failed. The aspirant must be determined to accomplish his task at any costs, even unto death. This must be his attitude of mind. The spiritual path has to be pursued until complete Realisation.
So long as Rama has not been found how can one be at rest (arama)?
A man who yearns desperately for God is actually lying prostrate at His feet. He has no other interest at all.

'Do not pay attention to the shortcomings of others, but try to discover their positive qualities, remembering that it is your way of looking at things (namely finding fault with people) that causes you pain.'
'All these difficulties are due to your own karma.
In God's creation the results of one's actions have to be enjoyed and suffered to the minutest detail.
Everything is His dispensation.
You will have to find Truth!
Always bear in mind that you have to exhaust all kinds of Karma and that He is thereby cleansing you to make you fit to be united with Him.'

A young English sadhaka who had studied philosophy at the Benares Hindu University had a talk with Mataji before returning to his country.
Amongst other things, Mataji said to him:
"Meditate on God all the time,
whatever you may do,
wherever you may be.
Remember,
whatever you see,
whatever you hear,
is his manifestation.
Pain exists because
you believe yourself to be separate.
Don't consider anyone as separate from yourself. Regard everyone as your friend.
Consider yourself to be God's tool (yantra) and think that He is moving you.
Dedicate yourself entirely to Him, feel all the time that He is doing everything. Even when you walk, feel that He is moving your legs.
Whatever work you do,
offer it to Him,
then you will be incapable of any baseness, for how can you offer anything ugly to your Beloved.
The little knowledge you possess, you have to give up to Him and in return,
because there is nothing left,
He will give you all.

In all forms and without form,
there is only God.
With that knowledge and
with your mind fixed on God,
if you perform service,
chittashuddhi (purification of the chitta) takes place.
It is also propitious and
auspicious for the human being.
Patience is indeed the foundation for the highest good.
For the traveler on the path of dharma, the direction should be towards the effortless revelation of his own nature.
When you perform service
with the mind fixed on God,
you are performing service for God Himself. Everything is God’s creation.
God is accepting service in this fashion.

MY LORD HAS MANY FACES
What are the experiences of a seeker who contemplates God with form and attributes?
At first he is engrossed solely in the particular deity (murti) he adores. Then, as he progresses, he begins to question: "Is my Beloved as small as that?
No, indeed He dwells in Rama, Krishna, Siva, Durga, and in all other deities. My Lord has many faces."
At a later stage he comes to realize that his Beloved abides in every creature, and every creature in Him.
On this pilgrimage there are many lines of approach, and along’ each of them there are many states and stages.
The development along one particular line is described in the following: To begin with, one is convinced that none can be likened to one’s own chosen deity.
If this attitude does not prevail at the start, deep devotion cannot be developed.
However, by and by, as one’s faith and adoration grow, one comes to feel that one’s Beloved is no other than the One.
One’s intense love and veneration will not allow one any longer to hold a petty conception of Him.

🌺🍀🌺 JAI MA ANANDAMAYI 🌺🍀🌺
TENDERNESS IS STRENGTH
One of the morning speakers that season in Almora was an eminent and powerful monk who headed the Shankaracharya Math in Bombay. A very tall and imposing figure with bald head, bull-neck and ash-smeared brow, he was an intimidating presence on his dais in the center of the hall, while Anandamayi was seated well to one side, taking no part at all in the proceedings.
Ma was in a restive mood, looking about her, apparently not listening to what the monk was saying. He was lecturing on Vedanta, larding his words with formidable Sanskrit terminology in a somewhat hectoring tone.
Playing with the string of a flower garland, very casually, almost absent-minded aside, Mataji interjected a one-sentence remark, addressing the Swami respectfully as Pitaji (father), but in the lightest of tones.
The Swami stopped in mid-sentence, paused, looked down, and suddenly burst into tears. To everyone’s astonishment, the giant monk just crumbled before our eyes. With a word to an attendant, Mataji swept the girls of the ashram school into bhajans and everyone joined in. The mood relaxed, the Swami regained his composure and was soon rattling on. What had touched him to the quick nobody could tell.

AHETUKI KRIPA
Question: Is grace (ahetuka kṛpā) without cause or reason?
Mātājī: Certainly; for grace is by its very nature beyond cause or reason. When working, one reaps the fruit of one’s actions.
If, for instance, you serve your father and he, being pleased with your service, gives you a present, this would be called the fruit of action. One does something and receives something in return.
But the eternal relationship that by nature exists between father and son, does surely not depend on any action. The Supreme Father,Mother, and Friend—verily, God is all of these.Consequently, how can there be a cause or reason for His grace?
You are His, and in whatever way He may draw you to Him, it is for the sake of revealing Himself to you.
The desire to find Him that awakens in man— who has instilled it into you? Who is it that makes you work for its fulfillment?
Thus you should try to arrive at the understanding that everything originates from Him.
Whatever power, whatever skill you possess,—why, even you yourself—from where does everything arise? And does it not all have for purpose the finding of Him, the destroying of the veil of ignorance?
Whatever exists has its origin in Him alone. Are you master even of a single breath?
To whatever small degree He makes you feel that you have freedom of action, if you understand that this freedom has to be used to aspire after the realization of Him, it will be for your good.
But if you regard yourself as the doer, and God as being far away, and if owing to His apparent remoteness, you work for the gratification of your desires, it is wrong action. You should look upon all things as manifestations of Him.
When you recognize the existence of God, He will reveal Himself to you as compassionate, or gracious, or merciful, in accordance with your attitude towards Him
Just as, for example, to the humble age of his Beloved, he will in the course of his He becomes the Lord of the humble.

The world is in ceaseless movement, and obviously there can be no rest in movement. How could there be peace in perpetual coming and going?
Peace reigns where no coming exists and no going, no melting and no burning. Reverse your course,
advance within towards Him
then there will be hope of peace.
When the mind centres on what gives peace and one's gaze dwells on what promotes it, when one's ears listen to what fills the heart with peace and at all times there is a response from Him Who is peace itself, then only can there be promise of peace.

"You are in the arms of the Great Mother. As She keeps you, so you have to live. Keep mind and body healthy.
Rather than allowing yourself unresistingly to be consumed by the fire of worry and anxiety, ever try to keep awake the conviction that everything happens according to His Will.
Truly, the contemplation of Reality is the path."
