Trolling on the Internet
This week, in my class, we learned about Trolling on the internet. This reminds me of boundaries. Putting a stop to trolling is similar to having boundaries offline, but the community and groups in the public are able to see the behavior more readily. Whenever there is a behavior that is crossing our boundaries, it’s important to communicate that this type of behavior is not OK. Trolling, like bullying, or any other type of unwanted behavior needs communication that is clear, upfront, and includes an opportunity for further distancing if there is no adequate response on the part of the offender. Also, the person on the receiving end of the troll’s behavior needs to seek help or resources when they are unable to come to a resolution on their own. For some of us, it can be very difficult to ask for help or find resources which will help us. There are resources and people who can help us. This could be the police, resources on the internet, or other trusted adults. Some of the attackers are very powerful or dangerous. It’s important to ask for help and find strong enough resources to help us influence our lives for the better. #MCO335

This week, my class is learning about online privacy. We all want to have some parts of our lives only for ourselves, and some parts of our lives anyone can know about. The same is true for online activities. #MCO335
