One night I dreamt I was reading an Onion article about Gary Indiana “becoming overflow parking for Chicago” and it started out funny then got racist & I woke up angry.

i had a dream last night that i was working at starbucks and steve rogers walked in and ordered an iced americano and i said “one iced americano for the iced americano” and then i woke myself up by laughing too hard at my own joke

I'm still blogging my way through Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber. Here's the first entry! I've finished "The Guns of Avalon" with the last two posts scheduled for this coming week, and have started "The Sign of the Unicorn."

Bro, we are cooked. The knight that dogs the prince's shadow like a dark and silent wraith just knelt to press his forehead to the prince's hand. Yeah, now he's uttering a prayer whose recipient is ostensibly God but in reality is the deified version of the prince that exists only in his mind. say it with me: deserts aren't inherently bad. deserts are very important and are home to many ecosystems. you want an unhealthy, over-exploited desert to become a healthy, thriving desert. you don't want an unhealthy, over-exploited desert to become a forest. deserts and forests are distinct, separate biomes that are both indispensable. you want to see them both at their best. and a desert at its best doesn't look like a forest at its best. they're each beautiful in their own way.
