max consistently put 1.22s on every single lap on his medium tyres stint (the ones that were supposed to deg at some point). he's a freak of nature.

This is the most amazing team on the grid. It is my team.

So much to unwrap here.

It's the way Lee's got his hands on his head. Actually, it's the fact that Lee is there.

It's the emotions coming from all of them and the way they are all mumbling "Come on Max"!

Lee's "Come on boy. You got this. Send it" while clapping!!

Oscar's fear and wide eyes. Has his hands on his head. Almost like he can't watch, he's nervous. But he will not look away.

The way they cheer when he makes the pass. It makes my heart go.

Chris' "Come on boy. Come on son" He calls him son. His number 1 mechanic calls him son!!! I don't have words. And then "You've got it, boy. You've got it. Come on Maxy" He calls him Son and Maxy, no one touches me!!!!!!

Frosty's happiness and Matt's (or Jon's, they're twins) wanting to pull his hair, yelling "YOU'VE GOT THIS. COME ON! COME ONNNNN!"

Oscar's teary eyes get me everytime. It's like he's trying to yell with them but it's overwhelming. And almost like he's clinging to them. And then his run with them. And scream after he sees Max passing the chequered flag.

Yamamoto-san(hope I didn't butcher his name) hugging and jumping with them.

And Jonathan Wheatly hugging them from the pitwall. He looks so emotional and he's the coolest person I know.

ADRIAN NEWY HUGGING OSCAR. It's sooo good. It's one of my favotite moments.

GP hugging Helmut and the relief on his face. WOW. And then yelling "FUUUUU*K"

Adriaan and Christian holding eachother. They were crying. It was unbelievably emotional. They were so proud of their world champion.

Look. Checo and GP and GP's family. That ended me!

I just love this team. Every single one of them. And I love their love for him. And the trust they have in him.

What is it that you are so cool about it (potentially not winning the championship)? Is it your mindset for this year or just how you go about racing in general?

Maybe for some it does change their lives but for me it doesn't. Of course it's my goal, and I will always try to be the best I can be, but it's not gonna change my life in terms of how I live it or what I'm gonna do afterwards. I think whatever you do on track shouldn't influence your personal life. I will not be a sore, sad person if I would never win a championship. I will have a lot of things I can do also after formula 1 because for me formula 1 is one part of your life. Actually what's most important is what's outside of F1 and maybe people don't really know how to deal with that. So for me exactly like that, it will not change my life. If I can say later that I have won a world championship – great. I mean it's amazing, it's something you dream of. But if it doesn't materialize because of obvious reasons where you didn't have the right package to do so, or it just didn't click, or you were unlucky – then so be it. It's not like I'm gonna wake up on the middle of the night because of it having nightmares about it.
