ive been reading a book that basically explains how so-called “brain differences” between the genders is the result of gendered socialization and not the cause of it. i honestly expected the book to be very cis-centric but its actually the opposite, the author stresses that testimony from trans ppl is actually indispensable because we’ve, in a sense, “lived both experiences”
more cis feminists should have this mindset

Toilet paper pill box.
Another small fun project for recycling! These are perfect for little gifts and a cute way to send your jewelry to customers… it not only give a nice shell of protection to the treasures you put inside, its cost free, customizable and keeps recycling on the mind <3
All you need are - toilet paper rolls - decor ( i used stamps) - Tape or glue
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step one: decorate your roll. I used some of my stamps, but don’t limit yourself to just that… you can use old paper, photographs, tissue paper, paint, sharpie and whatever else you have laying around to decorate. Mod podge and some pattered paper would be fun!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step two: Once your roll is decorated to your liking, fold down the corners on one end, making it look like little cat ears. Make sure they fold over each other so there is no open gap, and tape down  ( you can also glue the end down) * side note… if you dont like the look of regular tape, they sell something called washi tape? that comes in all sorts of amazing patterns!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Step three: When you have some side sealed and taped down, wrap and place your item/treasures inside the box ( i wrapped up some earrings) and seal the other end, again making sure they fold over one another so there are no gaps.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Step four… your done!
Again these are wonderful for gift giving and product packaging. Small, sturdy, cheap, recycled pill boxes…. you can use old paper towel rolls too! those are larger and can fit a bit more than TP rolls.

traditional celtic folk music makes me go buck fucking wild. i don’t know what it is, if it’s just in my blood or if it’s a past life or just ‘cause it’s objectively soulful but I hear that fiddle and I immediately transform into this heartbroken irish widow in 1787 with a shawl draped over my shoulders staring over the cliffs of moher, waiting for my ghostly lover to return from sea

Truth be told, people bitch about witchblr as a scourge, but it’s not the birth place of the problem.  Y’all remember the ‘witchy’ side of youtube years past? Talk about taking Wicca, watering it down with wooly ideas on magic, and then shitting on its own forefather. Don’t even ask them about history. What about the plastic shamans? Taking beliefs and misinterpreting them was all the rage then, especially topics coming from the Ojibwe and Lakota (though few would actually be able to specify those tribes as the source of the beliefs/topics).  This horrible game of telephone spirituality has been happening since the inception and spread of the New Age movement. It literally was based in the taking and misunderstanding of Eastern spiritual beliefs colliding with watered down Western Occultism.  Witchblr, or at least the most insufferable parts, is only a product of this kind of thinking finally reaching the general public, which cares nothing for research nor critical thinking, but for quick consumption. The massive misinformation and lack of care for veracity doesn’t end there. It’s outside.  And like every fad, it will pass.

‘In the 2019 CrossFit competitive season, starting with the Open, transgender athletes are welcome to participate in the division with which they identify,’ founder and CEO Greg Glassman told Them.us. ‘This is the right thing to do. CrossFit believes in the potential, capacity, and dignity of every athlete. We are proud of our LGBT community, including our transgender athletes, and we want you here with us.’
Alyssa Royce, a CrossFit-affiliate gym owner and board member of nonprofit the Out Foundation, worked closely with CrossFit leaders to introduce this new policy.
