Hey, did you used to do the December holiday-themed BTR stories? If so, are you doing them this year?
I did, but unfortunately that won’t be happening this year :(I’ve been so busy with school there’s been absolutely no time to prepare anything, and I’m in the middle of finals as well.
Don’t count next year out, though! I may find the inspiration to continue then.

Every Princess Needs a Castle
To the anon who requested a Daddy Kendall story. Enjoy!

“Hey babe, the school nurse called and said that Shannon is sick. I’m going to go pick her up and stay home with her. Don’t worry, ok? We’ll see you when you’re home. Love you!” I sighed and deleted the voicemail from my husband. I hated knowing our daughter was sick while I was stuck at work, but I felt better knowing Kendall was staying with her.
But I was still going to head home early.
I pulled into our driveway a few hour later. As I walked into the house, I noticed only the living room light was on. I checked my watch; I had left work extra early so I knew Shannon wouldn’t be asleep. “Kendall? Shannon?” I heard a high pitched giggle followed by a deeper one from the living room. I kicked off my shoes and wandered in. “Oh!” I gasped, looking at the blanket fort that had taken over the room.
I didn’t even know we had this many blankets.
“Mommy!” Shannon called from inside of the fort. She quickly crawled out and hugged me. I smiled, placing my hand on her forehead to check her temperature in the process.
“Hey Princess, you still feel warm.” I mumbled, kissing her head. “Where’s your daddy?”
“In the castle.” She motioned to the fabric structure behind her.
“Oh, it’s a castle?” I raised my eyebrows as she tugged me into it with her. Kendall was laying on his back in the middle of the tent, his laptop open in front of him.
“Of course! Every princess needs a castle!” Kendall smiled, ruffling our daughter’s hair. “Hey babe.” He leaned over Shannon to kiss me.
“I’m impressed by all of this.”
“I’m a man of many talents.” I rolled my eyes at his statement.
“So what have you two been doing these last few hours?”
“Watching movies. Well, half a movie. We just started.”
“Mommy, wanna watch with us?” Shannon asked, her green eyes begging me to stay. I didn’t eve have to ask; I knew she had chosen “Tangled.” It was her favorite.
“Of course.” I laid down next to her in the fort...castle.
“Oh, I’m glad you’re both here now.” She commented after a sneeze.
“Why? Because it’s funny to watch Mommy cry when Flynn Ryder dies?” I reached over Shannon to smack Kendall’s shoulder.
“No.” She shook her head. “Because every castle needs a King and Queen, too!” Kendall leaned down to kiss her head.
“That it does Princess, that it does.”

Well, it sure has been a while since I've been on this blog. But I'm logging in right now just to check on things and see how everyone is doing...and to say that I have still been coming up blank when it comes to writing for this blog (stories, ships, requests, etc.). Thing is I've just been so busy with school that whenever I am on break I just need to relax and not think about anything, creative or not. However, I am not giving up on this blog just yet. All I'm saying is that it will still probably be a while until I get any kind of inspiration again to write on here. I'll still be checking in every now and then. But if any requests are sent in until then, I am letting you know now that there are no guarantees that those requests will be completed, at least not until I get myself back into the zone. Until then, take care.
