Sleep is reaching for safety, he is not reaching for Vessel because he sees Vessel as dangerous, perhaps because some part of Sleep knows that Vessel might one day cause their downfall? (even in arcadia) Sleep is trying to remain calm even though they seem to know Vessel is unsafe, possibly because a cycle has already occurred, and it is now up to Vessel to break the cycle rather than continuing to let the house endure

Currently chewing the walls and need to throw out a theory because the sub reddit is so saturated that I don't think anyone is able to keep up with posts to chat.

Two sides of the same coin:

I don't think there is a real divide in terms of "lore" (clever marketing for certain). Instead, I'm thinking that Feathered Hosts and House Veridian are fighting the same battle just in different ways, and at the moment, House Veridian is getting its chance to shine with Emergence. The bits at the end of the video on youtube made me think about the fact that HV was referred to as the unvanquished branch. What if the knight at the end of the video is representing HV and reinforcing not just that they are unvanquished, but that they have been waiting to be called into action. An idea that fits with Emergence with the lyrics "asking for that call sign" and "you know that it's time to emerge"

Plus the mention of "I am the rose you relinquished again" ties this song so beautifully to Aqua Regia "putting down the roses, picking up the sword"

HV must endure, HV must pick up the sword, but for who? Who is calling them to emerge?

There's a clear relationship here and I can't help but think that it may be between House Veridian and Feathered Host.

In my bones they are aligned/connected in someway, but until I see FH get more attention/more music drop then it's just a half-baked theory that I need to scream into the void.

a talking point i often see when defending the consumption of dark content is that it’s a coping mechanism for those with trauma which is very valid and true but i also want to make this abundantly clear: you can like dark content for no reason. you can enjoy fucked up shit in fiction because it’s enjoyable and entertaining. trauma is not required as a ticket for entry. enjoy your dark content bc it’s fun and sexy and don’t let anyone take that away from you
