I love when you find an author who just has a good flavor to their writing. It could be the way they handle characters, the way they use certain tropes or themes, even the specific lilt of their words. Its familiar and comforting and carries across different stories, like coming back to a place of comfort and recognizing the furniture.

okay I have actually been holding onto this one for a while and this is probably pretty unpopular on the "you don't owe anyone anything" interwebs of 2025, but here goes:

I think ghosting people is really unkind.

I don't mean "oh we talked on a dating app for two weeks, but then I lost interest so I ghosted," I specifically mean like. if you already have an established relationship with someone.

Like yeah you don't owe anyone anything, but if you've known someone for a while and just ghost... it's just very unkind behaviour. to me.
