Normalize whimsy and perhaps a little bit of fantasy

I got my first build a bear to celebrate the end of my senior year and there was something so emotionally touching about being at what most people consider to be the end childhood by doing an inherently childish thing. Doing a little heart ceremony for the stuffed cow i got, dressing it in its little clothes, was something so innocent and I feel like in the world there’s such a pressure on stripping innocence out of teenagers. So being able to do that was kind of beautiful in a way.
