I've finally built up the courage to actually post some of my own art. I've just got back into sketching after a few years and I was really apprehensive about adding colour because previously I usually screwed up my sketches that way. I'm happy with how this came out though.
Shout out to @drawer-board999 and their art of Belzer as a tiger. Unbidden, it got me pondering on the shapeshifting into an animal idea. I tried to think of different animal options for Belzer, but I always came back to the tiger. @drawer-board999 was right; this cat fits him perfectly. Then I thought, 'Belzer seems like a leopard print kinda guy.' Followed by, 'He'd fit better as a jaguar than a leopard actually. They're bigger and more robust.' So I had to add in a dash of jaguar to his pelt. Meant for the jaguar print to spread over his back and hind legs a little more, but oh well.
Wendell is a clouded leopard. They're exceedingly agile and are the best climbers of the cat world. Wendell already strikes me somewhat as feline coded, like a moody or excitable kitten. I attempted to keep the whole family in the feline spectrum, but Wild strikes me more as a puppy to Wendell's kitten, so... raccoon dog! I thought it fit him well.

Art Tablets
Could someone impart their wisdom please?
I'm in need of some advice from the artists of Tumblr. I have always been a purely paper and pencil sketcher. I have several sketchbooks with drawings dating all the way back from my middle school days to today. That's how I've always done it. I don't intend to stop using my sketchbook, but I wish to try out drawing via Tablets. I like the idea of being able to completely erase unwanted pencil marks that refuse to disappear (Stop Pressing Down So Hard, Hands!!) and saving initial copies of my drawings that I can change in different ways and see which version I like best.
Problem is I haven't a clue of what I should be looking for. I don't have any experience with Tablets for drawing. So I thought I should ask on the opinions of all the various experts here! I'm looking for one that feels like you're drawing on actual paper and will only be using it for artwork. Doesn't have to be anything too high-end or fancy, but still reliable and good quality.
If anyone can share their thoughts and/or recommendations on Art Tablets, that would be greatly appreciated and a big help!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has the same idea as well! Very rare to find any dad content on him though. I think he would make a pretty cool and hilarious parental figure.
I've started a few little drafts of the idea in various scenarios. Nothing actually that makes up a cohesive plot yet though. Still needs work......aaaaaaannd I still need to muster up the courage to start posting my own stuff.

Am I the only one who sees TFP Starscream as a father figure?

Got a judgmental comment from family who saw me working on my art today too. Put a damper on my day and general outlook on myself and the worth of my interests. But then I think of all the people here on tumblr that share those same interests too and I feel a little better. Hopefully soon I'll feel confident enough to share some of my own art and au's as well.
You're not alone here. I'm sure many of us have gone through similar situations. Your picture is really beautiful and you don't deserve to be made to feel ashamed because of it. I hope to see more of your art like this piece!
