so a few days ago i was having a conversation with someone from work and they asked me why i like the poppy war so much that i went through lengths to reread the books all over again and i lamely responded with "you just have to experience it for yourself" because it was true. i'm sorry that i could not explain it and provide more information for you i was afraid i would start going crazy with the stories and unable to stop and you would just think im a total lunatic and a masochist

one of the worst parts of growing up is that young adult books eventually lose their appeal over time and every time i read one i just become annoyed because the characters are either too naive or the situations are never likely to ever happen in my life thus i could no longer project or relate to them at all
