“i know you fuckin’ lyin’. princess wayne? daddy’s favorite girl? don’t even speak on me.” he said as he let out another laugh and shook his head. “you really do got some muhfuckin’ nerve, swear.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 knew 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈 well enough to know that her movements posed were faux actions. “irritatin’ ass.” the male opened his mouth to speak when he was caught off by the expression of worry written on her face. “i been talkin’ to you this whole time, k. i ain’t moved nowhere near yo’ wallet, you seen me.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎’𝐒 once lax and playful demeanor had now shifted into something else as he watched the girl go through her belongings. he silently prayed that the wallet was tucked at the bottom of her bag because if it wasn’t, he’d have to hear her whining and that wasn’t a sound he wanted to listen to. 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 let out a loud sigh as he stood to his feet upon concluding that the wallet was actually missing. “nah, but i did see a girl walk by you. i think i remember what she look like and them producers got the cameras rol—, AY!” he yelled as she began yelling at him out of pure defenselessness. “i ain’t take ya’ fuckin’ wallet so calm all that shit down! i’m tellin’ you i’m tryna fuckin’ help you right now, shit.” grabbing 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈’𝐒 hand, he nearly snatched her up and headed out of the section to search the crowd for the girls familiar face or another source of assistance for them.
“i can’t believe she finally said no to your spoiled ass. good for my sis, one point for justice.” 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈 calling anyone else spoiled was a joke in itself, especially given the way she had been behaving for the last few days. when he gestured for the blunt, she playfully jerked her hand back before capturing his reaction and laughing loudly at him before handing it over. she rolled her eyes, a smile still present on the lower half of her visage as she reached down to the hem of her dress, as if she was going to oblige his request to ‘see something’. with that very action, she was so distracted that she hadn’t realized she had taken her eyes off her bag. feeling a slight movement behind her, she quickly turned around to grab her purse, noting her wallet missing as she looked up at the male before her. “ki, stop playing. where is my wallet?” she questioned, knowing he would be the type to either prank her or try to teach her a lesson about leaving her belongings unattended. searching through her purse with a desperate intention, she began to pull everything out of it, as if that would make the money holder randomly appear. “you didn’t see who took it?” she yelled at the man irrationally as her shoulder’s sank as she groaned, throwing her head back in frustration. “my card was in there! all the money fucking money i had, kilo!” she gawked at the male helplessly as if she was waiting on him to solve her problems, which was probably a true enough statement.

the male sucked his teeth again and took the bottle from her before placing it to his lips once more. 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 would be fucked up by the end of the night, he had a habit of loving and overly indulging in the feeling of being cross-faded so it was absolutely nothing new to him. “shit, you know exactly where i’m going if they put me outta this beyond scared straight shit. only person gon’ be tight, is justice. and she gon’ have to get over that one.” he spoke, referring to his mother as he drank more of the alcohol before reaching over for the blunt the woman was housing. “you know better, kal. pass that shit.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 took it from her hold and diverted his attention to the woman entertaining the both of them. “i will snatch yo’ lil’ ass up in this club, don’t play wit’ me.” he said with a laugh as he sat the bottle down right beside him and rocked his legs back and forth. “lemme see sumn.” he smiled widely at the woman, exposing his whites.
“because you just got a scamming spirit on you tonight.” 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈 knew how to get on her exes nerves, despite not wanting to actually argue with him. “they gonna put you out the house flexing some money you not suppose to have. you gonna be living in that subaru is it?” she questioned as she playfully screwed up her lip in false ignorance. “don’t act stupid, ki.” the beauty commanded as she extended her hand and took the blunt from his fingertips, trading it with the bottle of liquor. placing the spliff to her lips, she takes a generous pull from it before letting the smoke invade her lungs and expel through her nostrils, enjoying the familiar burn. her reaction to his question was minimal, a slight smirk as she stared staight ahead at the woman doing tricks on a brass pole. “what'chu talkin’ about?” she mimicked his earlier statement before she took another puff of the blunt, offering it back to him, holding up her index finger she pretended to have some sort of epiphany. “ahhhh, now i remember. i ain’t even got it on me, left i at the house. i’m so sorry.”

“i’m confused as to when you gotta ask me to say sumn for me to speak.” he already expected her to retrieve the bottle from his hands, especially since she was sitting there empty handed. 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 sucked his teeth as she questioned him and simply waved her off. “fuck i need to scam a bitch out a bottle for? they got us on this shit, but niggas definitely ain’t broke.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 tapped his ear and removed the blunt that he had tucked and placed it between his lips. he feigned confusion at her question and arched his brow as he lit the blunt and eyed her. “what ‘chu talkin’ ‘bout?” he took a long pull from the joint, allowing the taste to permeate his insides before passing it to her. “you got what i asked you for?”
as her ex-boyfriend took the seat right next to her, she rolled her eyes immediately, sticking her middle finger up as a response to his sentiment. “boy shut the fuck up. didn’t nobody ask you nothing.” she replied verbally as her eyes connected with his before panning down to his hands. “that’s fine. i’ll still be cuter than her at the end of the night. which one of these bottle girls you scammed for a bottle?” she questioned, relieving his hand of the signature cognac and taking a swig from it, hoping that it calms her nerves. swallowing down the smooth liquor, she handed it back over to him, tilting her head and smiling sweetly. “you got what i asked you for?”

“you don’t even look like you belong ova’ here, lil’ girl.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 spoke over the music, a smirk residing on his features as he sat down next to ex. the interaction between her and the stripper made the male chuckle to himself as he leaned back against the couch. “how much you wanna bet she leavin’ here wit’ mo’ money than you is?” the male teased before cracking open the bottle of Hennessy he’d entered the section with, gulping down a mouthful of the dark liquor with ease.
𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐈 sat in a section that she practically snuck her way into. the two thousand dollars hat she was offered to throw at the strippers was leaving with her and placed in a stash when she got back to the house.  “i just look this good, girl. i don’t have no money to throw.” she explained to the stripper that was obviously hunting for someone to get money from, and although she was dressed in expensive threads and jewelry - the girl was flat broke. once the female mumbled a ‘broke bitch’ underneath her breath and walked away. “no she didn’t? i’m not the one shaking ass for money!” she yelled back to the stripper before sucking her teeth. “i can’t live like this.” she spoke to whoever was closest to her in a defeatist tone.

𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎’𝐒 attention shifted momentarily to take in the interior of the spacious vicinity as he listened to the woman voice what it was that she wanted. He reached into the pocket of his olive colored cargos and retrieved a wad of cash so that he could pay for their bud once the person tending to them came back with the OG Kush his tastebuds and lungs had been longing for. “i’m not even gon’ lie and tell you that i know what the shit is, ‘cause i don’t. i just know it’s a downgrade from my Escalade.” he stood silently for a moment as he tried to ponder the make and model of the vehicle to respond to the girl properly before simply shrugging his shoulders. “a real, real miniature version of some shit. i ain’t never even rode in nothin’ like that forreal.” the idea of some sort of carnival or theme park sparked his interests as he raised an eyebrow. “what kinda rides they got? i’ll fuck around and go wit’ you, but jus’ for the food. i got the taste for fried Oreos or sumn of the sort.”

The expression on 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎’𝐒 face was one which read that he related to everything 𝐀𝐂𝐄 was saying. “my niggaaaaa, deadass. i legit told her yesterday after they dropped that shit off that i’m walkin’ everywhere, i don’t even give a fuck.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 laughed as he joked back. “same here, forreal. i heard ‘bout this lil’ spot from one of my niggas back home and he said the shit out here was good, so i stopped by here. but, i’ve never been to Vegas though, so this a new lil’ adventure for me. i wanna slide to different spots, but at the same time it’s fuckin’ hot.”

𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 stood inside the dispensary, leaned against one of the glass countertops as the budtender went to look for the quality and flavor of weed he was on the search for. “my thing is, she sent me wit’ this ugly ass whip. i don’t want that shit.” the male huffed as he stared down at the notification on his screen, brows furrowed deeply as he stared at the funds in confusion and shook his head. “what you tryna get into after this, though?” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 questioned as he slid the device into his pocket and provided the person next to him his undivided attention. “i heard they got a couple things that seem a lil’ interestin’.”

don’t sweat it ma, you know ima be aight at the end of the day.
it’s straight.
you doin’ what you see is best.
love you.
5 HOURS EARLIER.
“Y’all fuckin’ up the vibe already, nigga.” 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 laughed loudly as he pearled the freshly rolled spliff before sparking the end of it. The male was surrounded by a vast majority of his friends, while they all shared the blunt 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 was currently indulging in, they had their own thing going on individually within the dimly lit studio. The legendary Isley Brothers played throughout the speakers, Between The Sheets complimenting the mellowed vibe. In male like manner, women were included in the moment, of course. The girl in 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎’s lap was perfect if the topic of physical appearances came up — her ass was fat and soft, slim waisted, flat stomach and she smelled like one of his favorite Jimmy Choo fragrances; she placed that ass right in the heart of his lap and didn’t move it as she talked with her friends. Her face was up there too, she was pretty as hell. There was no doubt in 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎’s mind that he’d have her bent up in the back of his Escalade by the time the sun peaked over its horizon. Hell, the aura was sexual. It didn’t help that his friend could be heard audibly getting sucked up in the room right across from them. “I told y’all that bitch looked like she one of them nut dispensaries.” His friend voiced as the group bursted out into a fit of laughter. The phone on hip vibrating diverted his attention as he passed the blunt to the next person in rotation, the name on the screen being his mother’s. He had been ignoring the woman’s calls all day, this had to be about the 10th one and still she hadn’t caught the hint that he was occupied and would get back to her later. Letting out a loud sigh, he pressed the green button and put the phone to his ear.
“Yes ma’am?” He spoke humbly, his mother, 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄, always got the utmost respect out of him no matter the situation because that’s how she raised him and his older sister.
- “I’m glad you remember how to operate your phone. Do you know how many times I’ve called you today, La’Rue? This is exactly why I wish your father was still alive because I cannot keep doing this shit with your hardheaded ass.” His mother sighed as she began her spiel about how she was tired of having to tell him anything and how things would be different if his late father was actually here to which he returned silence. 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 passed when 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 was young, therefore, he didn’t remember too much about his father and he didn’t have the memories that his older sister, 𝐊𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐀, had with him.
“Okay, ma. I know. Did you need me to do somethin’? You straight? Keish okay?”
- “I sat and talked to myself, with the assistance of your sister as well and I’ve decided that until you prove that you are this grown man you proclaim to be, you won’t be getting anything else that was left by your father or myself. When I feel like I see some changes that are actually substantial and to my liking, you’ll know. But until then, there’s been a freeze put on every account, Kilo. You haven’t made this easy for me, but I want more for you. What happened to that passion you had when you were cutting hair in the barbershop? All you do is get high, go out every night and do God only knows what when you’re missing for hours at a time. Your father wouldn’t be proud of you.
𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 didn’t even have a verbal response, all he could do was laugh. He laughed so hard they skipped him in rotation and the broad in his lap took his place, which normally would’ve pissed him off but he was so confused as to what was actually happening at the very moment that he didn’t think too much about it. What the fuck was the point of having a trust fund or money left aside for you if you couldn’t spend it the way you wanted to? Live your life the way you wanted to? Especially when she was the one that had spewed that same bullshit for years. “You forreal? And Keisha had say in this whole sh— thing? That’s wild. Guess I gotta start movin’ weight forreal now.” He added in before continuing dryly, an obvious shift in his demeanor. “Aight, ma. That’s coo’. I got company, so I’ll holla at you later.” He could hear her speaking to him as he removed the phone from his ear but wasn’t able to decipher it as he quickly ended the call. He was good at masking his emotions, so the quick rush of frustration and annoyance was shifted and his attention went back to the blunt. “We gon’ finish this and i’ma take you back to the crib, shawty.”

𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 is the only son of 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐄 and 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 𝐊𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓. born in the southern parts of the US amidst his parents journey to settle down, 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 was raised with his older sister 𝐊𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐀 in Los Angeles, California. 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 passed when his kids were young and his son barely knew him, his fatal demise left 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 to raise two young kids on her own. As an adult, 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐎 hasn’t wanted for anything thanks to his father leaving funds behind to support his family just in case something happened to him. Yet, 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 would rather see her son struggling than coasting through life without an actual ultimate end goal of success. But, below the cut is a lil’ bit of basic information ‘bout my kid. My IM’s are open, slide through if you wanna do sumn.
