Random TMR Headcannons

• Frypan is Gally's best friend. He's the only one who knows how to calm him down.

• Frypan once went on strike and wouldn't cook his famous stew because everyone made fun of it. It lasted just two weeks.

• When they were Runners Gally always wanted Newt to be his partner in the Maze.

• Aris loves history books.

• Aris is just naturally a night owl.

• Rachel and Aris were together at one point or extremely close to it.

• Aris always blamed himself for Rachel's death.

• Harriet almost died in the Maze but never told anyone.

• Minho called Gally eyebrows instead of Greenie.

• Minho refuses to let anyone see him cry.

• Minho admires Newt more than he could describe.

• Newt did write Minho a letter. He just took a long time to get the strength to read it.

• Newt always wanted someone with his accent to come up.

• Newt is extremely self conscious about his limp.

• One time a Greenie asked about Newt's limp. Someone else had to take over the tour that day.

• Whenever Sonya hears someone say Lizzie she feels like it's familiar.

• Sonya randomly felt like a part of her was missing when Newt died.

• Aris would debate telling someone about his bigger role in WICKED to get some of the guilt off of his chest. 

Movies

• Brenda used to call Jorge Dad when she was little.

• Minho spent every Greenie night for a year after he got his limp.

• Thomas always wears Newt's letter around his neck because it makes him feel safe.

• Newt came up with the idea of a fight ring on Greenie night because he could tell that Gally was holding in a lot of anger.

• Gally threatened anyone who was even slightly mean to Chuck.

• Gally used to test out his 'special drink' and made himself sick the first few times.

• Sonya, Harriet, and Aris had dreams of being reunited while they were apart.

• Aris thought he recognized Sonya and Harriet's voices from the start when they were reunited but was terrified of being wrong.

• Sonya and Aris ended up being together.

The Fever Code

• Sonya used to constantly talk about Newt to her friends

• Harriet would comfort the new girls and explain everything whenever one came.

• Teresa hated being immune because of everyone isolating her.

• Aris would color code his notes.

• Aris would constantly fall asleep in class.

• Occasionally some bored teenagers would dare each other to get as close to the Crank cage as possible.

it is so important to me that Minho gains body fat in Safe Haven

Thomas is ecstatic, taking every opportunity he can to coo at and squish Minho's belly

His boyfriend is eating, his boyfriend isn't running himself to the ground, his boyfriend doesn't need to be in peak physical condition for survival, his boyfriend can relax.

It breaks Minho's confidence as he watches his body grow, quite literally, softer. It's such a crime to him because there's no room in the Glade for softness.

but Thomas doesn't care, this isn't the Glade, and he looks so happy whenever Minho lifts his shirt that Minho can't help but smile back.

Minho cries more often in Safe Haven. Obviously, he cries from nightmares and awful relapses. But he also just cries during arguments or when a project doesn't go well or when something small makes him overwhelmingly sad.

Thomas is surprised, at first, and then angry. Because he knows the Minho from the Glade would've never been so quick to tear up, and he knows WCKD broke him down more than he'll ever know.

Also he holds Minho very gently while he cries and kisses every tear away.

Minho: *burst into the medjacks' romm* Come quick! Thomas has fainted and he’s bleeding from his nose!

Jeff: Oh no! What happened??

Minho: *mumbles*

Cint: Sorry Minho, I’m going to need you to speak up. What happened??

because he's definitely glowering at others while he works through his problems on the inside. He doesn't want to accidentally zone out and start crying, so he fixes his face into a scary mask

the kids are scared of him

Thomas refuses to let Minho's tendency to glare at people be a deterrent and is constantly dragging him around Safe Haven to go look at cool things or supervise a job.

It's like pulling around a dog who keeps trying to sit down.

(also Thomas totally calls Minho a "good boy" later on and Minho's like "???!! ....do that again")

mmmmmm Minho would be scared of fire, actually

Like, yes he'd hate lightning storms and yes electricity scares the shit out of him and yes his weapon of choice is a machete or spear because Launcher grenades operate off electricity

but also he sits in his tent, farthest away from the Dinner Fire (giant campfire that Paradise lights up every night and gathers around to eat).

Thomas makes the long trek every night to the farthest corner of Paradise to bring him food.

"Minho?" Thomas whispered into the darkness of their hut. He didn't receive a response. Thomas sat up, blanket pooling in his lap. He looked over at Minho once more.

"Minho?" He tried once more.

"Mmm?" He lifted his head from where it laid squashed into a pillow.

"I-can I do something?"

"It's still dark outside. What do you need to do?" Minho rubbed at his eyes as he pushed himself up. He turned to Thomas, sitting up in their bed of leaves and sheets.

"I've been thinking about something for... a pretty long time." Thomas fiddled with his fingers.

"What?" Minho yawned.

Thomas felt bad about waking him up. They were part of the dawn patrol tomorrow.

"I,um, nevermind," Thomas cursed hi.self.for chickening out.

"You've already woken me up, so spill." Minho scratched at his stomach.

"Don't be mad." Thomas hesitated.

"I won't, promise." Minho shot him a bright smile.

Thomas nodded. He waited a second before he found himself leaning forward. His lips barely brushed the corner of Minho's mouth before he pulled away with a flush.

Minho tilted his head as he stared at him. "Why would I be mad at that?"

Minho grinned as he pushed forward and caught his lips in another chaste kiss. Thomas' hand cupped Minho's cheek as they fell back. Their lips slid off each other as Minho landed in Thomas' lap.

Minho chuckled as he turned his head and looked up at Thomas. "That all?"

"Yeah," Thomas said softly as he brushed a hand through Minho's hair.

"Good."

thominho headcanons

- Despite what everyone thinks about Thomas loving winter, Minho also loves winter. Mostly because Thomas is happy and he enjoys jogging with the cold wind.

- Minho will find random packages in the mail or in front of their house because Thomas sometimes gets the urge to just order random products online. Most times they suck and they sell them on eBay for more than it's worth.

- they've totally done bondage and ice play

- They have a dedicated day to just snuggling up to each other and watching movies. It's normally Monday because Minho likes the alliteration of 'Movie Monday'

- Thomas has woken up one day to Minho connecting his moles to create a constellation

- They have had a point where they had a 2 day break, but in reality it was Minho thinking Thomas was cheating on him. He soon found out Thomas was taking roller or ice skating lessons bc I feel like Minho loves those types of activities. It ended with Minho tell him he was sorry for a month and them getting back together.

hi daily reminder it’s canon that minho is thomas’s best friend and that he is the person thomas had the closest bond to, even by the end of the first book. those are actual lines by the author. stop erasing minho and his bond with thomas. thanks
