I'm almost certainly overthinking this but I rewatched episode 3 and want to point something out about this moment, when Ciel first wakes up in the bed. Most of the characters are facing towards him, looking like they've been waiting for him to wake up Finnys holding his hand to comfort him. But Sebastian is facing away from him, carrying a bowl of water (?) Sebastian is the only one looking like he's actively doing something. It reminds me of when Ciel got sick in the circus arc and Sebastian wanted to do whatever he could to help the doctor, such as giving Ciel water.

I feel like this shows how Sebastian doesn't know how to function in any other way than providing practical assistance. Ciel has been treated, the most urgent need he has right now is emotional, but Sebastian has no idea how to help with that. His expressions throughout the episode were so interesting, he looked so genuinely forlorn even when he was alone. I don't think he's ever felt so useless or helpless when it comes to Ciel.

On a darker level, you could interpret this as showing that Sebastian only cares about getting Ciel better for the sake of the contract. Everyone else is just patiently waiting for him to wake up in his own time. But Sebastian is trying to do whatever he can to physically make Ciel better, because he can't let him die and he needs him to complete his revenge.

Do you think, when shauna saw tai cradle van’s dead body, too late to save her from an avoidable death, she was reminded of finding Jackie, that frosty morning? Do you think tai finally knew how shauna felt when she screamed at everyone not to touch her? How only she was worthy, any other touch desecrating? Do you think they both felt overtaken by the same urge to make their dead lovers a part of them forever, never apart, even in death, when they tasted their flesh?

Shauna finally reflecting on the past and it’s to come to the conclusion that they had fun out there doing terrible things like no, bitch, you had fun terrorizing everyone.

There is both a supernatural and a rational explanation for every major event in Yellowjackets. Lottie walking safely over the pit trap might be the Wilderness intervening to protect her—or it could be that Travis accidentally covered it with too many sticks when resetting it, just enough to support her weight. The cave visions could represent the Wilderness trying to communicate—or they might be hallucinations caused by carbon dioxide/poisonous gas exposure. The birds crashing into the cabin in Season 2 might be the Wilderness offering a sacrifice in response to Shauna’s accidental bloodletting onto the symbol blanket—or, as Misty and Nat suggest, the birds could have been diseased or thrown off course by iron deposits in the ground. Lottie speaking French during the cabin séance could be the spirit of Cabin Guy possessing her—or a trauma response, with her preexisting mental health condition triggering dissociation and emotional dysregulation, causing fragmented memories (like her high school French classes) to surface. And so on!

I hope they keep things open-ended and ambiguous like this, where every event can be interpreted in two opposing ways. It’s so fun to experience Yellowjackets as two different shows at once—one steeped in the supernatural, and the other grounded in psychological realism and trauma responses. The ability to shift between these perspectives (or hold both simultaneously) not only deepens the mystery, but makes the entire viewing experience so much more compelling.
